A few years ago, Vivo switched from Funtouch OS UI to OriginOS for its smartphones in the Chinese market, while global models continued using Funtouch OS. Earlier this week, Vivo held a global launch event to unveil OriginOS 6, marking its debut beyond China.  Following the official announcement, iQOO has confirmed the rollout schedule for OriginOS 6 in India, revealing when users can expect to receive the update on their devices.

iQOO OriginOS 6 rollout schedule for India

As per the rollout timeline, the iQOO 13 will be the first model to receive the OriginOS 6 update in early November 2025.

The iQOO 12 will follow in mid-November 2025, while iQOO Neo 10, iQOO Neo 10R, and iQOO Neo 9 Pro are slated for updates in mid-December 2025.

The rollout will continue into the first half of 2026, expanding to older and mid-range models, including the iQOO 11, iQOO Z10 5G, iQOO Z10R 5G, iQOO Z10x 5G, iQOO Z9 5G, iQOO Z9s 5G, and iQOO Z9s Pro 5G.

The timeline applies to the Beta version initially, with the stable release being distributed to all users in stages. Carrier-exclusive models will follow a separate update cycle depending on regional policies.

OriginOS 6 key features

OriginOS 6’s interface features smoother animations, faster transitions, and improved app launch speeds thanks to the Origin Smooth Engine. It also brings a Dynamic Glow and Translucent Color design, inspired by liquid glass effects, and adds personalized widgets, revamped lock screen grids, and Flip Cards.

On the AI front, Vivo AI integrates Google’s Gemini model to enhance smart functions such as AI Retouch, AI Image Expander, and AI Creation tools. The new Vivo Security system ensures better privacy, data protection, and charging safety through BlueVolt technology.

The upcoming iQOO 15, launching in November in India, will come preloaded with OriginOS 6, while the Vivo X300 series, expected to launch within this year, will also ship with the new interface out of the box.

iQOO has launched the Z10R smartphone in India as part of its Z series. It comes with a curved AMOLED display, a large battery, IP68 and IP69 ratings for durability, and the latest Android 15 software. The phone will be available from July 29 through Amazon.in and the iQOO eStore.

The iQOO Z10R features a 6.77-inch Full HD+ AMOLED quad-curved display with a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and peak brightness of 1800 nits. The screen has SCHOTT Xensation α glass protection and a 19.9:9 aspect ratio.

It runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 4nm processor with Mali-G615 MC2 GPU. The phone includes graphite cooling with a 13,690mm² total cooling area. It comes in 8GB and 12GB LPDDR4X RAM options, with 128GB or 256GB UFS 2.2 storage. Virtual RAM support goes up to 12GB.

The rear camera setup includes a 50MP Sony IMX882 main sensor with f/1.79 aperture and a 2MP Galaxycore sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The front camera is 32MP with f/2.45 aperture. Both front and rear cameras support 4K video recording at 30fps. The phone also includes Aura Light for better low-light photos.

It runs Android 15 with Funtouch OS 15 and will receive two major Android updates and three years of security updates. The phone has an in-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, and USB Type-C audio. It supports dual SIM, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, and 5G across multiple bands.

The phone is IP68 and IP69 certified for dust and water resistance and meets military-grade durability (MIL-STD-810H). It packs a 5700mAh battery and supports 44W fast charging.

iQOO will unveil the iQOO Z10R on July 24 in India. In recent days, the brand has confirmed the front and rear camera details of the device. Now, the updated landing page of the phone available on Amazon India has confirmed most of the Z10R’s other specifications.

iQOO Z10R specifications

Measuring 7.39mm in thickness, the iQOO Z10R will be the slimmest quad-curved display phone in its price segment. The device will feature Dimensity 7400 and 12GB of RAM, which corroborates with the recent Geekbench listing of the device.

According to iQOO, with 12GB of virtual RAM onboard, the device can run as many as 44 active apps in the background. The device will pack 256GB of built-in storage and a large 5700mAh battery. While the brand has not confirmed the fast charging capabilities of the device, it is confirmed to support bypass charging.

The iQOO Z10R will also feature a cooling graphite sheet for heat dissipation, an in-screen fingerprint sensor, dual speakers, and FunTouch OS 15-based Android 15. As far as durability is concerned, the Z10R will have an IP68/69-rated dust and water-resistant chassis with military-grade shock resistance.

It was confirmed earlier this week that the iQOO Z10R will feature a 32-megapixel selfie camera and a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 camera with OIS support on the back. Both cameras are confirmed to support 4K video recording.

Known as the iQOO Z10R, the device has started making appearances online through teasers and benchmark listings. While the company hasn’t shared official launch details, multiple sources have offered clues on what to expect from this upcoming mid-range offering.

The iQOO Z10R is expected to feature a quad-curved display with thin bezels and a centred punch-hole camera.
