A few days back, iQOO announced the Z6 5G budget smartphone in the Indian market. The iQOO Z6 5G comes with a 120Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 695 SoC, and a big battery. Starting today, the smartphone has gone on sale in the country.

The iQOO Z6 5G is priced at Rs. 15,499(~$210) for the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, Rs. 16,999(~$222) for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, and Rs. 17,999(~$236) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant.

Those who have HDFC bank cards can get Rs. 2,000(~$26) discount. The phone can be purchased from Amazon in Chromatic Blue and Dynamo Black colors.

The iQOO Z6 5G sports a 6.58-inch LCD display with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It has a DCI P3 color gamut and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. It runs on Android 12 OS out of the box with FunTouchOS 12 on top.

The iQOO Z6 5G has just been launched in India. The new smartphone is being marketed as the fastest 5G handset in its price segment, so let’s find out what makes this device so special.

Design & Display

The iQOO Z6 5G from the Chinese smartphone maker sports a 6.58 inch FHD+ LCD display that has a 90.61 percent screen to body ratio and DCI P3 color gamut. It also supports 120Hz high refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. This would come especially helpful when playing intense multiple games. This is supplemented by its design as well, with the brand stating that the device has a 5 layer liquid cooling system that helps keep the device cool.

The company also placed an emphasis on its design, with the iQOO Z6 5G measuring just 8.25mm in thickness and weighing just 186 grams. It also adopts a flat design with rounded corners, with the rear having a triple camera module and the front sporting a notch display. This device is built in a 2.5D flat frame design that also features AG finish. It also houses a side mounted fingerprint scanner as well.

Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G SoC, which is why the company is claiming its the fastest 5G handset in the price segment. This chipset is based on a 6nm process and is paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of internal storage. A large 5,000mAh battery pack runs the device that supports 18W fast charging and reverse charging as well.

The device boots FunTouch OS 12, which is based on Android 12, out of the box and also offers a USB Type C, 3.5mm headphone jack, a microSD card slot, Bluetooth, and more for connectivity. Interestingly, the handset also supports virtual memory expansion that adds up to an additional 4GB of memory. Another feature is the Ultra Game Mode that optimizes the games and helps boost the CPU and GPU performance.

On the rear, the iQOO Z6 5G sports a 50 megapixel primary camera, that is paired with a 2 megapixel bokeh lens and another 2 megapixel macro sensor. Meanwhile, the front features a 16 megapixel selfie shooter. The smartphone features Eye Autofocus as well, which allows users to maintain a stable and clear focus on the subject in motion.

The iQOO Z6 5G arrives in the sub 18K INR category and is available in multiple storage configurations. This includes:

Notably, the device will be offered with a 2,000 INR (roughly 26 US Dollars) discount for those that purchase it through the HDFC Bank. The Z6 is offered in two color options, namely Chromatic Blue and Dynamo Black colors and will go on sale starting from 22nd March 2022.

iQOO Z6 5G is tipped to launch this week in the Indian market with budget specs sheet. The smartphone will take on the likes of Redmi Note 11 Pro+, Realme 9 Pro, and Vivo T1 5G. Now, PassionateGeekz has shared official renders of the smartphone giving us a closer look at the device.

The renders show that the device looks identical to the recently launched Vivo T1 5G. The smartphone has the exact same display and dual cameras at the back. In fact, the dark color is also the same as the T1 5G’s Black shade. There’s also the gradient color of the device, which is way similar to the Rainbow fantasy color of the T1 5G. It appears that the iQOO Z6 5G will be a rebranded version of the Vivo T1 5G.

The publication reveals that the smartphone will go official on March 16, as tipped earlier. It will be sold via the Amazon India website thereafter.
