Last week, the microsite of the itel A47 had popped up on Amazon India’s official website pointing to a launch on February 1. As scheduled, Transsion Holding brand itel has launched the itel A47 in India. The phone is the company’s latest 4G phone and it runs on Android Go Edition of the Android Pie OS.

Even though the device is an entry-level model, it packs a decent specs lineup and the design is also cool. The budget phone sports a 5.5-inch LCD IPS screen and is powered by an undisclosed quad-core processor which is believed to be a Unisoc processor clocked at 1.4GHz. The processor is paired with 2GB of RAM while there is 32GB of storage inside expandable up to 32GB with microSD. The phone equally runs Android 9.0 Pie, Go Edition.

For photography, the device packs a single 5-megapixel sensor at the front for selfies. The selfie camera is equipped with an LED flash. Also, there is a dual-camera setup at the rear consisting of a 5-megapixel camera sensor and a VGA secondary sensor housed in a module located at the top left corner of the back panel along with the LED flash. 

The phone also has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner that can unlock the phone in 0.2 seconds. There is also face unlock onboard. Keeping the lights on is a decent 3000mAh battery. The itel A47 also comes with dual SIM (nano + nano) support and has dedicated microSD support.

Other features onboard the device include a 3.5mm jack, FM Radio, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and a micro USB port for charging the device.

As for the pricing and availability, the itel A47 carries a decent Rs. 5499 (~$75) price tag. It comes in Ice Lake Blue and Cosmic Purple colours with a gradient finish. The entry-level phone will be available on Amazon.in from February 5th.

Transsion India’s phone brand named itel will be launching a new smartphone named itel A47 in India on Feb. 1. The microsite of the upcoming smartphone is now live on Amazon India. According to 91mobiles, the itel A47 will be priced under Rs 6,000 (~$82) in India.

The microsite states that the itel A47 will offer users a big display, better storage, and the best security. The silhouette of the phone suggests that it could be sporting an 18:9 aspect ratio supporting display with thick bezels.

The phone will offer users 32 GB of native storage and its rear shell seems to feature a dual-camera setup. For security, the handset will come equipped with a fingerprint scanner.

91mobiles has learned through industry insiders that it will be priced under Rs 6,000. The publication has also shared a leaked image of the device. The handset can be seen in two gradient color variants in the leaked render.

The image reveals that the itel A47 has a textured back panel. Apart from the fingerprint scanner and a camera module, the rear shell also features a speaker grille. Its bottom edge has a microUSB port and a volume rocker can be seen on its right spine. At the front, the handset has an earpiece and a selfie camera placed in the top bezel.

The publication also shared some of the leaked specs of the itel A47. The device will come with a 5.5-inch HD+ display and 2 GB of RAM. For photography, the handset will have a primary camera of 8-megapixel on its back and a selfie snapper of 5-megapixel. It will run on Android 10 (Go Edition) and it will carry support for LTE connectivity.
