Jabra has announced it will stop making its Elite line of consumer earbuds to concentrate on expanding its range of professional audio, video, and hearing products. This shift comes right after the company introduced the Elite 10 and Elite 8 Gen 2 earbuds.

Despite the phase-out, Jabra assures customers that the new Elite 10 and Elite 8 Gen 2 will be available and supported as usual. Here are all the details of these newly launched earbuds.

Jabra Elite 10 Gen 2:

The Jabra Elite 10 Gen 2 offers several key features, including an LE Audio smart case. For those unaware, this tech grants the case the ability to act as a wireless audio transmitter. This means the case can connect to devices that don’t have Bluetooth built-in, like airplanes entertainment systems, or gym equipment, using a cable with a 3.5mm jack or USB-C connector, and then transmit the audio to your earbuds via LE Audio.

This model has improved Spatial Sound with Dolby Head Tracking for a better Dolby Atmos experience. The Jabra Advanced Active Noise Cancellation is now up to twice as strong as the previous Elite 10.

Call quality is also improved with six microphones and effective noise-reduction algorithms. The new Natural HearThrough feature with better wind-noise detection is twice as effective as before. These earbuds have 10mm drivers and a semi-open design with Jabra ComfortFit technology. They offer up to 6 hours of battery life (27 hours with the case) with ANC on and have an IP57 rating for splash and dust resistance.

Other features include Bluetooth multipoint connection, Fast Pair, Swift Pair, and Spotify Tap playback. The Jabra Elite 10 Gen 2 is priced at $280 and will be available in mid-June in titanium black, gloss black, cocoa, and two new colors: denim and soft white.

Jabra Elite 8 Gen 2:

The Jabra Elite 8 Gen 2 also has several updates, including an LE Audio smart case for streaming sound from non-Bluetooth equipment. It features improved Spatial Sound powered by Dolby Audio and Adaptive Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation, which is now up to twice as strong as the previous Elite 8 Active.

The Natural HearThrough feature has better wind-noise detection and is twice as effective as before. Call performance is improved with six microphones, wind-protecting mesh, and a noise-cancellation algorithm. These earbuds are fully sweat-proof and waterproof with an IP68 rating for the earbuds and an IP54 rating for the case.

They offer a secure fit with Jabra ShakeGrip technology and up to 8 hours of battery life with ANC on (32 hours with the case). Other features include stable smartwatch connectivity, Swift Pair, Google Fast Pair, and Spotify Tap playback, along with Bluetooth multipoint connection.

The Jabra Elite 8 Gen 2 is priced at $230 and will be available in mid-June in navy, black, and two new colors: coral and olive.

On the other hand, the Elite 8 Active are IP68-certified fully dust and water-resistant. They have also passed MIL-STD810H standards making them ideal for usage in harsh outdoor conditions. There is Jabra’s ShakeGrip technology that keeps the earbuds secure in the ears. 

In terms of audio, the Jabra Elite 10 and Elite 8 Active pack Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) for eliminating surrounding noise. The earbuds also automatically optimizes the ANC performance depending on the user’s environment. Both audio devices have wind-neutralizing HearThrough technology that minimizes any wind noise interface. The TWS earphones also pack Dolby Audio for a clear and incredible audio experience. The Elite 10 is claimed to offer 6 hours of battery life and 27 hours with the case whereas the Elite 8 Active is rated to offer 8 hours of playback and 32 hours with the case. 

The Jabra Elite 10 carries a price tag of Rs 20,999 and is offered in Cream, Cocoa, Gloss Black, and Matte Black colors. On the other hand, the Elite 8 Active is priced at Rs 17,999 and it comes in Caramel, Navy, Black, and Dark Grey options. Both earbuds can be purchased starting September 20 from Amazon, Croma, and the brand’s authorized resellers.

Jabra has just released a new truly wireless earbuds in the Indian market. The company is finally bringing the Elite 4 TWS model in the region, which follows after its global release back in March 2023. So here are all the details.

The known audio products maker had first announced the Elite 4 TWS last month and has just brought it to the Indian market. It is the successor to the Elite 3 and arrives as an entry level model from the company. The new device features a lightweight design for improved comfort when listening to music for longer periods of use. Furthermore, the Elite 4 also supports IP55 rating for water and dust resistance.

Jabra’s Elite 4 is also equipped with 6mm audio drivers along with 4 microphone that helps in offering improved call clarity. These microphones also enable the Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) as well. On a single full charge, the Elite 4 can last for up to 5.5 hours and up to 22 hours with the charging case with ANC turned on. When ANC is disabled, the earbuds can last for up to 28 hours. Other notable features include, Fast Pair and Swift Pair tech for faster pairing with smartphones and laptops, Bluetooth Multipoint for seamless switching between calls and apps, and Qualcomm aptX support.

The new Jabra Elite 4 TWS earbuds are available in multiple color options, namely Dark Gray, Navy, Lilac, and Light Beige. It will be sold on Amazon, Flipkart, Croma, Reliance, and other authorized resellers starting from 14th April 2023 for a price tag of 9,999 INR. In December, Jabra introduced the Jabra Elite 4 Active TWS earbuds to the global market. These earbuds are specifically designed for sports and physical activities, providing exceptional sweat resistance that surpasses that of most other earbuds available in the market. The brand has now launched the Jabra Elite 4 earbuds, which succeed the Elite 3 model from 2021.

Compared to the Elite 4 Active, the Elite 4 retains most of the core features, with ith a few of them slightly toned down. The Jabra Elite 4 TWS earbuds provide IP55 dust and water resistance, which makes them fairly resistant to sweat and rain, although slightly less so than the Elite 4 Active’s IP57 rating. The earbuds offer up to 5.5 hours of listening time, in contrast to the Active’s seven hours (with a total of 22 hours and 28 hours respectively, when used with the charging case).

It is not clear whether the Elite 4 has the same transparency mode as the higher-end model. Nevertheless, the earbuds come equipped with four microphones, and aptX support helps optimize audio quality, making the most of Bluetooth’s limited bandwidth.

ANC and Bluetooth multipoint are undoubtedly excellent features to have in a pair of earbuds, and a $20 price increase from the Elite 3’s $80 price point to the Elite 4’s $100 price point appears reasonable to incorporate these features. However, it’s worth noting that the Elite 4 doesn’t boast any other significant improvements. The earbuds come with the same 6mm drivers, the same IP55 rating for protection against water and dust, and the same battery size as the Elite 3.

If you are in India and are looking for premium earbuds, then the Jabra Elite 85t should be on your list. The pair of TWS earbuds which launched in the US back in September has made its way to the Asian country. It brings with it customizable Active Noise Cancellation and a battery life that goes up to 25 hours.

The Jabra Elite 85t’s active noise cancellation feature can be customized, allowing the user to switch between up to 11 different levels. The lowest one is dubbed HearThrough a.k.a transparency mode, which allows environmental sounds to pass through. Each level is around 3db apart which is said to be the way the human ear best perceives differences in sound level.

Jabra uses dual-microphone technology for its digital active noise cancellation. Each earbud has a pair of microphones – one feedforward mic that cancels the noise from outside and one feedback mic that cancels the noise from inside the ear.
