Now, Redmi&#8217;s General Manager, Lu Weibing has confirmed that the K20 will feature the high-end Snapdragon 855. This will be a first for Redmi since the brand has always focused on mid-range and budget processors in the past.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/b418a7a1ly1g32yf6sp6zj21o02yo4qp.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-253570" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/b418a7a1ly1g32yf6sp6zj21o02yo4qp.jpg?x44794" alt="Redmi K20 Snapdragon 855" width="690" height="1227" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/b418a7a1ly1g32yf6sp6zj21o02yo4qp.jpg 690w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/b418a7a1ly1g32yf6sp6zj21o02yo4qp-169x300.jpg 169w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/b418a7a1ly1g32yf6sp6zj21o02yo4qp-576x1024.jpg 576w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/b418a7a1ly1g32yf6sp6zj21o02yo4qp-236x420.jpg 236w" sizes="(max-width: 690px) 100vw, 690px" /></a></p>
<p>But that&#8217;s not all, we also have the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/antutu">AnTuTu</a> score of the Redmi K20. The score revealed by Lu is actually outrageously high, even for a Snapdragon 855 powered smartphone. The K20 model, code-named Raphael, scores 458,754 in the AnTuTu benchmark. This is unusually high since most Snapdragon 855 phones score less than 400K in the same benchmark. To give you some perspective, the Mi 9, which is one of the best scoring flagships on AnTuTu <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/03/05/xiaomi-mi-9-tops-antutu-feb-chart/">scores around 370,00 on an average</a>. That&#8217;s way less than this figure.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/70cf98bcly1g32hs458bjj20u01t00wp.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-253569" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/70cf98bcly1g32hs458bjj20u01t00wp.jpg?x44794" alt="Redmi K20 AnTuTu score" width="333" height="722" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/70cf98bcly1g32hs458bjj20u01t00wp.jpg 690w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/70cf98bcly1g32hs458bjj20u01t00wp-138x300.jpg 138w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/70cf98bcly1g32hs458bjj20u01t00wp-473x1024.jpg 473w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/70cf98bcly1g32hs458bjj20u01t00wp-194x420.jpg 194w" sizes="(max-width: 333px) 100vw, 333px" /></a></p>
<p>With <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/redmi">Redmi</a> all set to enter the flagship market, we can&#8217;t help but wonder where it will be placed in terms of pricing. The K20 was supposed to be the next POCO F2, but that&#8217;s apparently not going to be the case since the company is pushing ads in India (where POCO is quite popular) with the K20 tagline. So, this could be a potential replacement to a Xiaomi flagship, especially in a market like India.</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>RELATED: <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/05/13/glacier-blue-redmi-k20-k20-pro-flagship-seen-with-lin-bin/">Glacier Blue Redmi K20/K20 Pro flagship seen with Lin Bin</a></strong></li>
</ul>
<p>Xiaomi&#8217;s flagships haven&#8217;t been selling so well this market so a cheaper flagship (but more expensive than POCO) could be the solution. But this also basically ends any hope for the Mi 9 series to make to India.</p>
