LG’s K42 recently got BIS certification suggesting an imminent launch in India. Accordingly, the ‘Made in India’ device has finally debuted for ₹10,990($150) in the country.

LG K42 India- Price, Availability

LG K42 comes in a single 3GB RAM and 64GB storage option. It is priced at ₹10,990($150) in India. You can get the budget smartphone from January 26 on the e-commerce site Flipkart.

Out of confidence, LG is also offering an extended warranty of 1 year(Total: 2Yrs) and a free one-time screen replacement on buying the K42.

According to Advait Vaidya, Business Head- Mobiles, LG India, the company is committed to the “Make in India” initiative. To honour this, LG is making the K42 locally in India.

LG K42 Specifications and Features

LG K42, just like the other regions, gets a MIL-STD-810G military-grade certification for durability. It comes in Gray and Green color options with textured rear patterns for improved ergonomics and grip. You get a Power button-cum-fingerprint sensor on the right, volume buttons, and a dedicated Google Assitant key to the left.

As for specs, it features a 6.6-inch HD+ FullVision centered punch-hole Display with a 1600 x 720 pixels resolution and 20:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, it is powered by MT6762 which is the MediaTek Helio P22 chipset.

For cameras, you get a rear quad-camera setup with a 13MP main lens, a 5MP super-wide(115° FOV), a 2MP depth, and a 2MP macro sensor. Upfront, there is an 8MP selfie shooter. LG provides features like Flash Jump Cut to take 4ximages at regular intervals, Time Helper to alert people with a Flash, AI features and more.

Other features include a MicroSD slot up to 2TB, 3.5mm audio jack, LG 3G sound engine, 4,000mAh battery, Type-C port, Wi-Fi 2.4GHz, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and LG UX based on Android 10.
