Rumors have been swirling about the upcoming release of the Huawei Nova 12 series, following Huawei‘s recent autumn product launch event. At this event, the company introduced a range of new products, including the Huawei Mate 60 RS Ultimate, FreeBuds Pro 3, Watch GT 4, and the MatePad Pro 13.2. Typically, Huawei doesn’t roll out new products immediately after these events, but there’s speculation that the Nova series might break that tradition.

Huawei Nova 12 series might launch earlier than expected

Last week we reported that the Nova 12 series could make its debut as early as October or November. These phones are expected to start at a price of 2,999 yuan ($410) and will likely offer mid-range 5G capabilities thanks to the Kirin 830 processor. Huawei aims to strike a balance between affordability and high-end features, potentially including satellite phone capabilities and advanced imaging functions.

Now a tipster named Moor Sky on Weibo has shared additional information, including detailed specifications, by releasing a spec chart for both the Nova 12 and Nova 12 Pro smartphones. This chart provides insights into the technical specifications and features of both upcoming phones, offering valuable details for those interested in these models.

So, what can we expect from the standard version of the Huawei Nova 12? It’s rumored to sport a second-generation Kunlun glass curved screen with a super-smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Nova 12 will be powered by Kirin 830 chipset.

The camera setup is said to include a powerful 50-megapixel main lens, an 8-megapixel telephoto lens, and a 12-megapixel wide-angle macro lens. On the front, it may have a front camera with a whopping 60-megapixel portrait ultra-wide-angle lens. Powering it all is a substantial 4,800mAh battery with support for speedy 88W wired fast charging.

As for the Pro variant of the Nova 12 series, it’s expected to feature a 50-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel telephoto lens, and the same 12-megapixel wide-angle macro lens found in the standard version. The device will be powered by Kirin 9000S (know more about this chipset from here). Additionally, it’s rumored to boast a 60-megapixel front camera, a slightly larger 4,900mAh battery, and support for even faster 100W wired fast charging.

A Chinese tipster had revealed at the beginning of this month that the Huawei Nova 7 series of smartphones will debut on April 23.  However, Huawei remained mum on the arrival of the Nova 7 lineup. Today, the confirmed released a post on Weibo to confirm that it will be announcing the Nova 7 phones on April 23.

The poster released by the company which confirms the Huawei Nova 7 launch date showcases the vertical camera setup placed at the upper-left corner of its rear. The setup can include as many as four cameras along with an LED flash. The company did not reveal any information on the specs of the Nova 7 models.

Rumors surrounding the Huawei Nova 7 series have revealed that it comprises of three 5G-ready devices such as Nova 7 SE, Nova 7 and Nova 7 Pro. It is speculated that three phones could be powered by Kirin 820 5G, Kirin 985 5G and Kirin 990 5G.  They are expected to be priced between 2,000 Yuan (~$282) and 4,000 Yuan (~$565) in the home market.

A leaked poster of Huawei Nova 7 series that is now being circulated on Weibo has revealed the key specs and design of the Nova 7 smartphone. It revealed that the smartphone draws power from the new Kirin 985 chipset. After the Honor 30 phone that was unveiled yesterday, the Nova 7 will be the second phone to arrive with the new 7nm chipset that clocks at 2.58GHz.

The Nova 7 sports a curved display with a dual punch-hole at the upper-left corner that will most likely accommodate two front-facing cameras. The rear-facing quad camera system of the Nova 7 includes a periscope zoom lens that supports up to 50x digital zoom. The handset can be seen in three colors like red, purple and gradient white. It is expected to arrive with 40W fast charging support.
