<p>Rumors have been swirling about the upcoming release of the Huawei Nova 12 series, following <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/huawei/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Huawei</a>&#8216;s recent autumn product launch event. At this event, the company introduced a range of new products, including the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/09/25/huawei-mate-60-rs-ultimate-design-launched-china/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Huawei Mate 60 RS Ultimate</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/09/25/huawei-freebuds-pro-3-spec-price/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">FreeBuds Pro 3</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/09/25/huawei-watch-gt-4-launched-2/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Watch GT 4</a>, and the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/09/25/huawei-matepad-pro-flagship-tablet-launch/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">MatePad Pro 13.2</a>. Typically, Huawei doesn&#8217;t roll out new products immediately after these events, but there&#8217;s speculation that the Nova series might break that tradition.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter"><img src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/Image00007.jpg?x10805" alt="Nova 11 Pro" /></figure></div>

<h2>Huawei Nova 12 series might launch earlier than expected</h2>

<p>Last week we reported that the Nova 12 series <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/09/19/huawei-nova-12-5g-series-launch-october/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">could make its debut as early as October or November</a>. These phones are expected to start at a price of 2,999 yuan ($410) and will likely offer mid-range 5G capabilities thanks to the Kirin 830 processor. Huawei aims to strike a balance between affordability and high-end features, potentially including satellite phone capabilities and advanced imaging functions.</p>

<p>Now a tipster named Moor Sky on Weibo has shared additional information, including detailed specifications, by releasing a spec chart for both the Nova 12 and Nova 12 Pro smartphones. This chart provides insights into the technical specifications and features of both upcoming phones, offering valuable details for those interested in these models.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="690" height="790" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/Huawei-Nova-12-series-specs-sheet.jpg?x10805" alt="Huawei Nova 12 series specs sheet" class="wp-image-570147" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/Huawei-Nova-12-series-specs-sheet.jpg 690w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/Huawei-Nova-12-series-specs-sheet-262x300.jpg 262w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/Huawei-Nova-12-series-specs-sheet-367x420.jpg 367w" sizes="(max-width: 690px) 100vw, 690px" /></figure></div>

<p>So, what can we expect from the standard version of the Huawei Nova 12? It&#8217;s rumored to sport a second-generation Kunlun glass curved screen with a super-smooth 120Hz refresh rate. <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/huawei-nova-12/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Nova 12</a> will be powered by <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/kirin-830/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Kirin 830</a> chipset.</p>

<p>The camera setup is said to include a powerful 50-megapixel main lens, an 8-megapixel telephoto lens, and a 12-megapixel wide-angle macro lens. On the front, it may have a front camera with a whopping 60-megapixel portrait ultra-wide-angle lens. Powering it all is a substantial 4,800mAh battery with support for speedy 88W wired fast charging.</p>

<p>As for the Pro variant of the Nova 12 series, it&#8217;s expected to feature a 50-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel telephoto lens, and the same 12-megapixel wide-angle macro lens found in the standard version. The device will be powered by <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/kirin-9000s/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Kirin 9000S</a> (<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/09/06/huawei-mate-60-pro-kirin-9000s-chip-explained/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">know more about this chipset from here</a>). Additionally, it&#8217;s rumored to boast a 60-megapixel front camera, a slightly larger 4,900mAh battery, and support for even faster 100W wired fast charging.</p>

<p>It&#8217;s important to note that the information regarding the Nova 12 and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/huawei-nova-12-pro/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Nova 12 Pro</a>&#8216;s specifications is speculative at this point. We will keep you updated including any leaks or rumors surrounding the series.</p>
