JMGO has released the N3 Ultimate 4K laser projector in Japan. The projector is designed for large-screen home viewing and supports HDR10 and Dolby Vision. It can project an image as large as 300 inches, making it suitable for home theater setups in living rooms or dedicated media rooms.

The N3 Ultimate uses JMGO’s MALC 5.0 triple-laser optical engine, which uses separate red, green, and blue lasers. This system delivers 5,800 ISO lumens of brightness, allowing the projector to produce clear images even in rooms with ambient light. JMGO says the projector offers a 20,000:1 native contrast ratio and up to 3,000,000:1 dynamic contrast. It also achieves Delta E ≈ 0.7 color accuracy and covers about 110 percent of the BT.2020 color space, helping reproduce accurate colors across different types of content.

The projector includes AI image processing designed to improve picture quality automatically. It analyzes scenes in real time and adjusts brightness, contrast, and color depending on the content being displayed. The system can also enhance darker scenes by identifying shadow details and adjusting the laser output so that objects in dark areas remain visible while black levels stay deep.

Installation is designed to be simple. The projector can scan the room and detect furniture, shelves, and other obstacles. It then suggests the best projection position and automatically adjusts the image alignment. Users can also save preferred projection positions so the projector remembers them and restores them automatically when moved.

The N3 Ultimate supports optical zoom with a 0.88 to 1.7:1 throw ratio, allowing a 100-inch image from about 1.9 meters away. It also supports horizontal lens shift up to ±53 percent and vertical lens shift up to ±130 percent. These adjustments use physical lens movement rather than digital correction, which helps maintain image clarity.

The projector runs Google TV 5.0, giving access to more than 10,000 apps, including YouTube, Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, U-NEXT, Hulu, and ABEMA. It also supports Google Assistant voice control. For sound, the device includes dual 12.5 W speakers with Dolby Audio and DTS:X certification.

Gaming support is also included. The projector supports 1080p resolution at up to 240 Hz, variable refresh rate, and input latency as low as 1 ms.

The BR9708 is built for low-light setups. It offers true 4K UHD with 8.3 million pixels, 100% DCI-P3 color coverage, and a 1200:1 native contrast ratio. Japanese electronics giant Sharp has unveiled new M series projectors. The new projectors are based on the collaboration of Sharp with NEC and are designed as a budget-friendly option for buyers. The Sharp M series projectors have a laser light source and DLP technology for minimal maintenance and a longer life cycle.

Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America (SIICA) unveiled the Shart XP-M421W-W and XP-M401H-W projectors. The models are coming on the heels of the earlier NC603L and NC1503L projectors jointly released by Sharp and NEC in 2023. The Sharp M series projector is a budget-friendly offering and uses a laser light source from Texas Instruments. The projectors eliminate the need for frequent lamp replacement and filters and thus significantly reduce maintenance costs.

The Sharp XP-M421W-W has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels while the XP-M401H-W offers a native resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. The M401H-W has an HDMI 1.4b and an HDCP 1.4 input terminals while the more powerful M421W-W has HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2 ports. Otherwise, the two models are quite similar even in terms of their dimensions. The maximum brightness of the laser projectors is 4,000 lumens.

The new Sharp M series monitors are also designed with sustainability in mind. The external power supply architecture of the projectors makes them to be compact and lightweight. The design also means that the packaging of the model is smaller, reducing waste and improving logistic efficiency, according to Sharp. LG has just launched a new high end projector to bring the theatre experience to users’ homes. The new laser projector is the 4K CineBeam HU810P, which aims to provide ‘an authentic movie theater experience.’

The new laser projector arrives amid the Coronavirus pandemic, which still has various theatres and cinema halls remaining closed for an extended and, what appears to be, an indefinite period of time. So, the South Korean tech giant has introduced a new product that acts as a home theatre. This new laser projector can output 2,700 ANSI lumens of light, which can also adjust and adapt to the ambient lighting in its surroundings.

As per the company’s official notes, the LG CineBeam model can also be used in a ‘typically lit’ living room. This includes Dark Room Mode and Bright Room Mode. The last mode is the Adaptive Contrast, which also enabled the projector to auto adjust each video frame to ensure a better viewing experience.

LG also adds that the CineBeam supports TruMotion Mode and Real Cinema Mode, which allows users to watch movies the way they were intended to be viewed by tweaking the frame rate to 24Hz. For connectivity, the LG projector supports HDMI 2.1 + eARC and wireless for streaming content from other devices using Bluetooth. It also runs on webOS 5.0 and supports both Screen Share and AirPlay 2. Unfortunately, the company has yet to unveil the pricing and availability of the new projector.

Xiaomi has launched a new laser projector in China, dubbed as Mi Laser Projector 1S 4K. It is available for purchase during the 618 shopping festival in China and is priced at 12,999 yuan which roughly converts to $1,838.

According to the company, this new projector is 30 percent brighter when compared to the previous-generation model. It makes use of short-focus that allows the device to cast a screen from 80 inches and up to 150 inches from just a few centimeters away.

Xiaomi says that an 80-inch screen can be cast when the projector is placed just 5.5-inch away and for the maximum 150-inch display, the projector needs to be placed at a distance of at least 19 inches.
