Lenovo has launched some of the most compelling gaming laptops in the past. Continuing the trend, the Chinese tech giant has now introduced the new Legion 7 Series gaming laptops. The company has combined elegance and apex performance in its latest laptops. The series includes the new 16-inch seventh-gen Legion 7, 7i, and Legion Slim 7, 7i gaming laptops.

These are not your ordinary gaming laptops, as per Lenovo, the Legion 7 and 7i are the world’s most powerful 16-inch gaming laptops and the Legion 7 and 7i Slim laptops are Legion’s thinnest and lightest gaming laptops yet. Let’s take a look at the specifications of these laptops.

Lenovo Legion 7 and 7i specifications

The new Legion 7 and 7i laptops come with a sleek design and an improved hinge. The laptops are specially made for the hardcore gamers out there. First things first, the Lenovo Legion 7i and 7 come equipped with up to 12th Gen Intel Core HX Series or AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX processors paired with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Laptop GPU. The laptops have DDR5 memory and Gen 4 PCIe SSD storage.

The devices have Lenovo Legion A.I. Engine 2.0. on top of these high-end specs. The AI engine can estimate fan curves and balance GPU and CPU resource output in real-time.

The Legion TrueStrike keyboard has also been updated on these laptops. The keys are now slightly cupped with a 0.2mm dip and have an overall key travel of 1.5mm. Moreover, you get per-key RGB lighting as well as 100% anti-ghosting.

Talking about the display, both the laptops come with a 16:10 aspect ratio and up to 1,250 nits of brightness. The Legion 7 has a 16-inch WXQGA display with an optional 240Hz variable refresh rate. Whereas the Legion 7i also has a 16-inch display and comes with a mini-LED option. The new Lenovo Legion 7i and Legion 7 laptops come with Tobii Horizon software, offering a better gaming experience. Both laptops come with a 99.9Whr battery with Super Rapid Charge support that can fully charge the battery in 80 minutes.

Lenovo Legion Slim 7 and Slim 7i specifications

Lenovo claims that the Legion Slim 7 and Slim 7i are the Legion’s thinnest gaming laptops. The laptops come with an aluminum and magnesium design. They weigh only about 2 Kg and are 0.67 inches thin.

The laptops sport up to 12th Gen Intel Core H Range or AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX processors. They also have NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 or AMD Radeon RX 6800S mobile graphics coupled with DDR5 memory and Gen 4 PCIe SSD storage. Both the laptops are powered by either a 99.99Wh or 71Wh battery with up to a 230W AC adapter. You can also charge the devices up to 135W with a USB-C adapter.

The Legion Slim 7 and Slim 7i come with an improved cooling system. The cooling system now offers 29% better cooling. The laptops have thinner fan blades, faster fans, and an extra heat pipe dedicated to the GPU’s VRAM.

As far as the display is concerned, the Legion Slim 7 features a 116″ WXQGA 16:10 display, and the Legion Slim 7i has a 16″ WXQGA display with up to a variable refresh rate or Mini-LED option.
