If you are searching for high-end laptops from Lenovo, then the ThinkPad series is your best bet but for gamers, there is the Legion series. However, Lenovo has got the Ideapad series of affordable but decent laptops. Lenovo has now introduced a new budget laptop dubbed Ideapad 5 and powered by AMD’s latest Ryzen processor.

The IdeaPad 5 is powered by AMD’s latest Ryzen 4000 Series chips and comes in at a price that doesn’t break the bank.  The new Ryzen processors should offer a pretty powerful base of performance thanks to the enhancements AMD made with this generation. On top of that, you can snag up to 1TB of storage and up to 16GB of RAM.

The laptop sports a 15-inch IPS, anti-glare display with FHD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.  The display has a brightness of 300 nits while there is a touchscreen version with 250 nits brightness. You also get a webcam privacy shutter, along with USB-C connectivity, an optional fingerprint sensor, and up to 15 hours of battery life with quick charge.

The Windows 10 Home laptop crams a battery that can last up to 15 hours and supports Quick Charge capable of delivering a full charge in 3 hours in 15 minutes.

The Lenovo Ideapad 5 is available in Platinum Grey, Granite Grey, Light Teal colour options. he laptop is available to buy on Lenovo’s official website in the US and UK. It is priced at $690 for the model with 8GB RAM (soldered) which can’t be upgraded. In the UK, pricing starts at £405 and buyers get several configuration options to choose from.
