Lenovo will officially unveil the Lenovo S5 on March 20 in Beijing and ahead of the launch the company has started releasing some details of the device. The latest teaser comes from Lenovo Group’s Vice President, Chang Cheng who hinted on his Weibo page that the smartphone will come with Artificial Intelligence. The AI will be integrated with the operating system which he boasts will be as fluent as the iOS.

Artificial intelligence is turning out to be another form of marketing gimmick. The last time we checked, the Lenovo S5 would run on ZUI 3.5 OS based on Android Oreo. Google’s latest Android 8 on its own brings improved system speed, increased fluency and performance. SO we really can’t say what other tweaks Lenovo would be adding to the mix on the S5’s OS.

Lenovo S5 was recently spotted at TENAA as Lenovo K520. TENAA records show the K520 features a 5.65-inch display that supports FHD+ resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels along with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The handset is fueled by an octa-core processor that clocks at 2.0 GHz. The SoC is supported by 3 GB and 4 GB of RAM that respectively features 32 GB and 64 GB of internal storage. It will come loaded with Android 8.0 Oreo-based ZUI and packs a rear fingerprint sensor. It has a selfie camera of 8-megapixel and one of its dual camera sensors is also of 8-megapixel. The smartphone will be powered by 3,000mAh battery. The device is being positioned t take on the recently launched Redmi Note 5.

Earlier this week, Lenovo Group VP Chang Cheng, the former CEO of ZUK Mobile had   confirmed that the Lenovo S5 will be unveiled on March 20 in China. Today, he has claimed on Weibo that the performance of the Lenovo S5 will be better than the upcoming Xiaomi Redmi Note 5.

Earlier today, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun had released a new teaser for the forthcoming Redmi Note 5 on Weibo. The teaser revealed that the handset has a powerful configuration as it features Snapdragon 636 chipset and 6 GB of RAM. Through the Weibo post, Jun claimed that Note 5 that will deliver a comprehensive experience through its balanced configuration.

Soon after Jun confirmed on the chipset and RAM information for Note 5 on Weibo, Lenovo Group VP Chang Cheng quoted Jun’s Weibo post and expressed that the Lenovo S5 arriving on March 20 will deliver better performance than the Redmi Note 5.

Last year, Lenovo had shut down it ZUK Mobile sub-brand shortly after it took over Motorola to launch Moto branded phones. Since the Moto phones are not very famous in the home market, Lenovo is reportedly planning to re-enter the smartphone market with Lenovo branded phones. The upcoming Lenovo S5 that will be arriving on March 20 is expected to sport ZUI Android skin that was seen ZUK branded phones.

Shown above is a teaser image of the Lenovo S5. The red-colored S5 features a rear-mounted fingerprint reader and an LED enabled dual camera setup. The handset seems to be sporting a metal unibody design.

Just a few months after launching its first full-screen smartphone, the Lenovo K320t, Lenovo has another one on the way. The Lenovo K520 has surfaced on TENAA complete with specs and pictures.

The Lenovo K520T shares a generally similar design to the K320t but with a few differences. It is an all metal phone, with dual rear cameras and a fingerprint scanner in the same position as the K320t.

The main physical difference between both is that the K320t has a speaker grille on the back but the K520 doesn’t. The K520 also packs a slightly smaller display but weighs more even though they both have the same battery capacity.

When it comes to the rest of the specs, their differences are much more distinct. The Lenovo K520 has a 5.65-inch FHD+ (2160 x 1080) display. It measures 154 × 73.5 × 7.8mm and weighs 165g.

It comes with 3GB or 4GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB of expandable storage. Unlike the K320t which is powered by a Spreadtrum quad-core processor, the K520 is powered by a 2.0GHz octa-core processor.

Although the images show the phone has dual rear cameras, TENAA only lists for one camera which is an 8MP sensor. There is also another 8MP sensor in front.

The Lenovo K520 runs Android 8.0 and will be available in black, red, and silver. Seeing as it has gotten certified by TENAA, it should launch soon.
