Gaming on smartphones doesn’t generate much heat compared to PC. Anyway, it is always good to have better thermal management.
Lenovo’s Legion brand has been a formidable name in the gaming laptop industry. Thus, there has been hardly any doubt that the company ill deliver something spectacular for those who fancy smartphone gaming. The 144Hz refresh rate should be the highest on a smartphone. The Red Magic 5G is the first phone to ever feature the high 14Hz refresh rate. The high screen refresh would come in handy by increasing the clarity in fast-paced games.

The video shows a working Legion smartphone with an Avenger-themed wallpaper on the screen. The operator then scrolls to the setting page revealing the key specs. The page shows the presence of a Snapdragon 865 chipset paired with 6GB of LPDDR5 RAM. There is also 128GB of UFS 3.0 flash storage on this model. We expect the phone to be available in several higher memory variants. There is also a Pro variant which will likely have up to 16GB RAM and 512GB UFS 3.1 flash storage. The phone also packs a 5000mAh battery with 90W charge support.

Now, a new report hints at the possible launch timeline and the chipset used in the upcoming device.

The report claims that the Lenovo Legion gaming smartphone could come powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus chipset. This is interesting given that many are expecting SD865+ chipset, some reports indicate that the company has no plans to release the Plus variant of the flagship processor this year.

Earlier, the company had confirmed that the Lenovo Legion will come with support for 90W fast charging technology, making it the world’s fastest charging technology in a smartphone. Currently, OPPO has the fastest phone charging tech, supporting 65W.

As for the smartphone’s specifications, it is rumored to come with a Full HD+ OLED display offering 144Hz refresh rate but the exact screen size is not yet known. Under the hood, the phone will be powered by either SD865+ or the SD865 SoC.

It will pack LPDDR5 RAM which we expect to go up to 12GB, coupled with UFS 3.0 internal storage. On the backside, the smartphone will come with a dual-camera setup that includes a 64-megapixel primary sensor and a 16-megapixel secondary sensor.
