Originally priced between Valve’s $399 LCD Steam Deck and the $549 OLED model, the Legion Go S now matches the Steam Deck’s price, putting it in direct competition with Valve’s established handheld. Despite this, the Legion Go S offers several advantages over the Steam Deck OLED, including Hall effect joysticks, adjustable triggers, and a variable refresh rate display. Whether these features will persuade customers to choose this third-party SteamOS handheld over Valve’s own remains to be seen.

But the part that makes it unique is the software front. It is available in two OS variants, which include a Windows option and a SteamOS variant. This makes the Legion Go S the only other handheld console outside of the Steam Deck with this operating system. Unlike Windows, SteamOS is designed for gaming and brings a seamless console like experience and optimizations.

Timekettle W4 Pro

Timekettle launched the W4 Pro with an elegant design but the AI powered translation is by far one if its highlighting features. The earbuds support over 40 languages and can understand 93 accents as well. There is only a 3 to 5 second delay between the original speech and translation. One can simply put them on their ear and have a face-to-face conversation with someone, listen to an audio and have it translated, or speak into the earbud and have it broadcast through their smartphone’s speaker.

Lenovo ARM Mini PCs

Taking on Apple, Lenovo announced a bunch of new ARM Mini PCs. The brand-new lineup of tiny PCs include the ThinkCentre Neo 50q and IdeaCentre Mini x. Both models are powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X series processors that aim to offer performance on a portable and price effective budget.

Lenovo IdeaCentre Mini x

The IdeaCentre Mini x is a 1 liter sized desktop, which is designed for creatives who need a PC that is quiet for productive tasks. On the other hand, the ThinkCentre neo 50q was made for small and medium businesses, although it still offers similar specsas the IdeaCentre. These start from $659 and are a great alternative to the Apple Mac mini.

Lenovo’s Rollable Laptop

Pushing the innovation in laptops was Lenovo with its ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 Rollable. It features a flexible display that rolls to extend the total screen real estate. The futuristic laptop can basically extends its display from a common 14-inch to a taller 16.7-inch panel.

Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 Rollable CES 2025

This makes it more practical than some foldable laptops that we saw last year. It is still a concept model, but we can expect such technologies to make it to their notebook lineup in the near future. Another announcement that showcased a unique design was the Yoga Book 9i with a dual display setup.

ASUS Zenbook A14

We may finally have a Macbook Air killer from ASUS. Thanks to its 70Wh battery pack, ASUS claims that you can get up to 32 hours of video playback or 19.5 hours of web browsing on a single full charge.

The device will offer memory options of 16GB or 32GB LPDDR5X and storage capacities of 512GB or 1TB using PCIe Gen4x4 NVMe SSDs. The 32GB configuration could set a new industry standard for gaming handhelds, ensuring smoother performance and better multitasking.

The Legion Go S will include a 55.5Wh battery, which should provide ample playtime for gamers on the go. It also features dual USB4 ports, adding flexibility for charging and connectivity.

Unlike its predecessors, the Legion TrueStrike controllers on the Legion Go S are not detachable. However, the console maintains its ergonomic design and premium feel.

Two versions of the Legion Go S will be available: a Glacier White model running Windows 11 and a Gray model running SteamOS. The Windows version is tailored for those seeking a versatile handheld PC, while the SteamOS version caters to gamers fully immersed in the Steam ecosystem.

The Legion Go S is expected to launch at a price of around 600 Euros, making it a competitively priced option for its hardware capabilities. Meanwhile, rumors suggest that the Legion Go 2 might feature a more powerful Ryzen Z2 Extreme processor and Radeon 890M GPU, further extending Lenovo’s offerings in the gaming market.
