<p>After various teasers, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/09/29/lenovo-legion-y700-2024-gaming-tablet-launch-specs-price/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Lenovo had finally unveiled the Legion Y700 (2024)</a> gaming tablet in its home market of China. This new tablet packed some high end hardware for the best gaming experience on a large screen. With its <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/10/05/lenovo-legion-y700-gaming-tablet-imda/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">global debut nearing</a>, here are 5 reasons you should be excited about this Legion gaming tablet.</p>

<h3>Lenovo Legion Y700 (2024): Gaming is More Fun on a Bigger Display</h3>

<p>While the <a href="https://www.giztop.com/lenovo-legion-y700-2024.html" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Legion Y700</a> isn&#8217;t the largest tablet out there, the 8.8-inch screen here is bigger than any smartphone. Furthermore, you can&#8217;t have a massive screen as it might make touch controls harder for gamers. In any competitive title, the size of your screen and refresh rate can have an impact on your performance. A bigger screen allows for better visibility while a higher refresh rate directly improves latency with your inputs. </p>

<p>Lenovo packs the Legion Y700 with a tall 8.8-inch LCD screen that offers a 2.5K resolution (2560x1600p) along with a 165Hz refresh rate, 500 nits of peak brightness, and TÜV Rheinland certified for low blue light and flicker-free performance. So the tablet ensures the least amount of strain on users&#8217; eyes during long gaming sessions as well. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full is-resized"><img loading="lazy" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/image-8.png?x44794" alt="Lenovo Legion Y700" class="wp-image-653467" width="632" height="652" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/image-8.png 737w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/image-8-291x300.png 291w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/image-8-696x718.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/image-8-407x420.png 407w" sizes="(max-width: 632px) 100vw, 632px" /><figcaption>Lenovo Legion Y700 Gaming Tablet</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>Thanks to the new Super Control Dynamic screen, the smoothness of the screen can be raised by 4.1x, while reducing flare by 96.5%. Lenovo&#8217;s proprietary Lingjing Engine also reduced touch latency by 32.2% and helps lower network latency by 45.8% for a competitive edge in online multiplayer games.</p>

<h3>Top Notch Gaming Performance</h3>

<p>Lenovo equips the Legion Y700 (2024) gaming tablet with Qualcomm&#8217;s latest and greatest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. This is the same processor that powers many flagship Android smartphones. It is paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. All of this combines to offer an impressive gaming performance. Lenovo <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/09/27/lenovo-y700-2024-gaming-3d-and-rpg-games/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">showcased the gaming performance</a> in various titles across different genres like turn based and RPG games.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="820" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Lenovo-Legion-Y700-2024-3D-games.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-652539" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Lenovo-Legion-Y700-2024-3D-games.jpg 820w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Lenovo-Legion-Y700-2024-3D-games-300x220.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Lenovo-Legion-Y700-2024-3D-games-768x562.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Lenovo-Legion-Y700-2024-3D-games-696x509.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Lenovo-Legion-Y700-2024-3D-games-574x420.jpg 574w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Lenovo-Legion-Y700-2024-3D-games-80x60.jpg 80w" sizes="(max-width: 820px) 100vw, 820px" /></figure></div>

<p>While the exact title wasn&#8217;t revealed, the Legion Y700 (2024) managed to run a 3D turn based mobile games at 59.8 FPS at 2560×1600 resolution. Meanwhile, the RPG title managed to run an open world game with an average of 59.9 FPS with a render resolution of 1728 x 1080 resolution. Genshin Impact is a notorious title that can be played on the smartphones and tablets, but is usually enjoyed on PCs for a better experience overall. However, the game was seen running without any hitches on the new Legion gaming tablet. </p>

<h3>Cooling &amp; Complete Package</h3>

<p>As hardware gets more powerful, there is more heat being generated inside mobile devices. The Legion Y700 is no exception, especially considering it houses the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 chipset. However, Lenovo packs the gaming tablet with a robust cooling mechanism. The Legion Y700 (2024) houses a massive 10,004mm² vapor chamber for optimal thermal dissipation, which is quite useful during gaming.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="640" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Lenovo-Legion-Y700-2024-1024x640.jpeg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-652770" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Lenovo-Legion-Y700-2024-1024x640.jpeg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Lenovo-Legion-Y700-2024-300x188.jpeg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Lenovo-Legion-Y700-2024-768x480.jpeg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Lenovo-Legion-Y700-2024-1536x960.jpeg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Lenovo-Legion-Y700-2024-696x435.jpeg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Lenovo-Legion-Y700-2024-1068x668.jpeg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Lenovo-Legion-Y700-2024-672x420.jpeg 672w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Lenovo-Legion-Y700-2024.jpeg 1800w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>Despite being a gaming tablet, the Legion Y700 is a complete package. Take away the gaming features and it is still a great high-end tablet. A large 6,550mAh battery pack powers this device, which promises to offer 14.6 hours of video playback and up to 8.9 hours of gaming. You also get 68W wired fast charging. The tablet runs on the Android 14 OS based ZUI 16.1 custom skin out of the box. The rear features a 13-megapixel camera, while the front houses an 8-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calls. Other notable features include dual stereo speakers from JBL with Dolby Atmos support, Bluetooth 5.1, expandable storage video microSD card, and DC dimming.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/lenovo/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Lenovo</a> is gearing up to launch its latest gaming tablet, the Legion Y700, in China on <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/09/25/lenovos-new-legion-gaming-tablet-with-snapdragon-8-gen-3-165hz-refresh-rate-to-launch-next-week/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">September 29th</a>. We already knew it would pack the powerhouse Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, but now Lenovo is sharing some preliminary performance scores of Legion Y700 (2024) to whet our appetites.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>Lenovo Legion Y700 (2024) gaming</strong></h2>

<p>According to Lenovo&#8217;s Weibo post, the Y700 can deliver an average of 59.8 FPS in 3D turn-based mobile games, tested at a resolution of 2560&#215;1600 pixels. This is decent, especially considering the low power consumption of just 8.8W.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="820" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Lenovo-Legion-Y700-2024-3D-games.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-652539" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Lenovo-Legion-Y700-2024-3D-games.jpg 820w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Lenovo-Legion-Y700-2024-3D-games-300x220.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Lenovo-Legion-Y700-2024-3D-games-768x562.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Lenovo-Legion-Y700-2024-3D-games-696x509.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Lenovo-Legion-Y700-2024-3D-games-574x420.jpg 574w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Lenovo-Legion-Y700-2024-3D-games-80x60.jpg 80w" sizes="(max-width: 820px) 100vw, 820px" /></figure></div>

<p>Things get a little more interesting for RPG fans. Lenovo claims an average of 59.9 FPS in open-world RPGs, with a render resolution of 1728&#215;1080 pixels and a power draw of 9.5W.&nbsp;</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="820" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Lenovo-Legion-Y700-2024-RPG-gaming.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-652538" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Lenovo-Legion-Y700-2024-RPG-gaming.jpg 820w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Lenovo-Legion-Y700-2024-RPG-gaming-300x220.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Lenovo-Legion-Y700-2024-RPG-gaming-768x562.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Lenovo-Legion-Y700-2024-RPG-gaming-696x509.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Lenovo-Legion-Y700-2024-RPG-gaming-574x420.jpg 574w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Lenovo-Legion-Y700-2024-RPG-gaming-80x60.jpg 80w" sizes="(max-width: 820px) 100vw, 820px" /></figure></div>

<p>The teaser image conveniently showcases a scene from Genshin Impact, a notoriously demanding Android title. While specific games weren&#8217;t mentioned, this suggests the Y700 can handle heavy hitters without breaking a sweat.</p>

<p>Finally, the benchmark for combat mobile games shows an average of 59.9 FPS at a resolution of 2304&#215;1440 pixels. Again, no specific titles were named, but the high resolution is promising.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="820" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Lenovo-Legion-Y700-2024-ARPG-gaming.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-652537" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Lenovo-Legion-Y700-2024-ARPG-gaming.jpg 820w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Lenovo-Legion-Y700-2024-ARPG-gaming-300x220.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Lenovo-Legion-Y700-2024-ARPG-gaming-768x562.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Lenovo-Legion-Y700-2024-ARPG-gaming-696x509.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Lenovo-Legion-Y700-2024-ARPG-gaming-574x420.jpg 574w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Lenovo-Legion-Y700-2024-ARPG-gaming-80x60.jpg 80w" sizes="(max-width: 820px) 100vw, 820px" /></figure></div>

<p>These are respectable numbers, but it&#8217;s worth keeping the recently launched <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/09/27/red-magic-nova-gaming-tablet-launched-globally/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">RedMagic Nova</a> in mind. It also boasts the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, but with the &#8220;Leading Version&#8221; variant that might deliver a slightly better performance. But there’s to be left for the review.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Apart from a leading Snapdragon processor, the Y700 (2024) will pack a smooth 165Hz refresh rate screen. There is also a vapor chamber cooling system to keep the thermals down. It’s a large one, 10,004 mm square in size, which Lenovo says is the size of a mobile screen.&nbsp;</p>

<p>We don&#8217;t have to wait long to see how the device performs in real life. The Legion Y700 is launching in just two days, so we are likely to see reviews popping up soon. In the meantime, feel free to check out our review of last year’s model, linked below.</p>

<p>While Lenovo has not yet disclosed details about display specifications, storage options, or battery capacity for this new model, it is expected to build upon the foundation set by the previous generation.</p>

<p>The Lenovo Legion Y700 (2023) model, for example, came equipped with an 8-inch display offering a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, 343 PPI pixel density, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, and a peak brightness of 500 nits. It also featured a 144Hz refresh rate, making it suitable for fast-paced gaming.</p>

<p>In terms of cameras, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/lenovo-legion-y700-2023/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Y700 (2023)</a> model included a 13MP dual rear camera system and an 8MP front camera. Powering the tablet was a 6550mAh battery that supported 45W Super Flash Charging, along with dual USB Type-C ports for simultaneous charging and headphone use. This model also featured bypass charging technology to help protect the battery and maintain performance during gaming sessions.</p>

<p>The new <a href="https://www.giztop.com/lenovo-legion-y700-2024.html">Lenovo Legion Y700 2024 gaming tablet</a> has not been confirmed, though it is anticipated to be revealed on September 29th in China, possibly aligning with the holiday shopping season.</p>

<p>Gamers on the go may soon have a new option to consider. <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/lenovo/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Lenovo</a> has confirmed via their Weibo account that a refreshed version of the popular Legion Y700 gaming tablet is about to be unveiled.</p>

<p>The company hasn&#8217;t shared many details though—only a vague &#8220;coming soon&#8221; message. However, a recent Geekbench 5 listing, shared by reliable tech leaker Digital Chat Station, sheds some light on the potential hardware.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="380" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Lenovo-Legion-Y700-2024-launch.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-650366" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Lenovo-Legion-Y700-2024-launch.jpg 380w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Lenovo-Legion-Y700-2024-launch-190x300.jpg 190w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Lenovo-Legion-Y700-2024-launch-266x420.jpg 266w" sizes="(max-width: 380px) 100vw, 380px" /><figcaption>en</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The listing reveals a Lenovo device, believed to be the Y700, equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and 12GB of RAM. The device scored 2,209 points in single-core and 6,509 in multi-core tests. The new SoC should offer a major performance boost compared to the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip on the previous model.</p>

<p>While the Geekbench listing offers a glimpse into the Y700&#8217;s processing power, details regarding other crucial aspects like display, storage options, and battery capacity are still shrouded in mystery.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The international launch strategy also remains unclear, though following the pattern set by its predecessor, a global release following the initial Chinese launch is a safe bet.</p>

<p>Considering the year is nearing its end, a launch window in the coming weeks or months for the Legion Y700 appears likely. This would position Lenovo strategically to capture the holiday shopping season, particularly appealing to mobile gamers seeking a powerful and portable device.&nbsp;</p>
