Yesterday, Lenovo announced five new laptops in China. The main highlight of these notebooks is that they run Microsoft Windows 11 out of the box. They are one of the few computers in the market with the latest version of Windows. Let’s take a look at two of these products in this article, namely Lenovo Xiaoxin Air 14 Plus 2021 Core Edition and Lenovo Xiaoxin Air 14 Plus 2021 Ryzen Edition.

Lenovo Xiaoxin Air 14 Plus 2021 Core Edition / Ryzen Edition Specifications and Features

As their names suggest, the new Lenovo laptops only differ in terms of processors. The Core Edition is powered by an Intel Core i5-1155G7 processor paired with NVIDIA GeForce MX450 GPU. On the other hand, the Ryzen Edition arrives in two variants featuring AMD Ryzen 5 5600U and AMD Ryzen 7 4800U processors.

Both Intel and AMD models come with 16GB DDR4 RAM and 512GB SSD as standard. Most importantly, they ship with Microsoft Windows 11. 

The notebooks sport a 14-inch LCD panel with a 2.2K resolution, a 16:10 aspect ratio, and a 100% sRGB color gamut. The anti-glare screen supports DC dimming and it is TÜV Rheinland-certified for low blue light emission.

Connectivity options on these computers include WiFi 6, 2 x USB 3.2 Gen (Type-A), 2 x USB Type-C, and HDMI. They also have an SD card reader.

Other features include a full-size backlit keyboard, dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, Windows Hello facial authentication system, a 56.5Wh battery, and 65W USB PD fast charging.

Last but not least, these laptops flaunt a metal body, measure 15.9mm in thickness, and weigh 1.41kg.

Earlier today (20th August 2021), Lenovo has just announced a new laptop in China. This is a part of its Xiaoxin lineup of notebooks and is named the Xiaoxin Air 14 Plus 2021 Core Edition, which features Intel’s 11th Gen Core processors and NVIDIA graphics.

Previously, the company had launched the Xiaoxin Air 14 Plus Ryzen Edition that sported AMD’s latest mobile processors, namely Ryzen 5 5600U. Now, the Xiaoxin Air 14 Plus Core 2021 Edition features the Intel i5-1155G7 processor that arrives along with NVIDIA’s MX450 graphics. For memory, the laptop houses 16GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD storage similar to the Ryzen variant of the laptop. The Chinese tech giant’s Xiaoxin Air 14 Plus arrives with a 14 inch 2.2K LCD display that has an aspect ratio of 16:10.

This screen has a maximum brightness of 300 nits and offers 100 percent sRGB color gamut, along with DC dimming and the German Rheinland Low Blue Light certification for user’s eye protection. For ports, the laptop sports two USB Type C ports that support 100W PD charging and data transmission alongside an HDMI interface, two USB Type A ports, and more. The new Lenovo Xiaoxin Air 14 Plus Core 2021 Edition will be available for a price of 5,499 Yuan in China (roughly 845 US Dollars).
