Lenovo has announced two new tablets at IFA 2025, the Yoga Tab and the Idea Tab Plus. The Yoga Tab is positioned as a premium model for productivity and creative use, while the Idea Tab Plus is aimed at users who want a balanced device for entertainment and everyday tasks.

Lenovo Yoga Tab details

The Yoga Tab features an 11.1-inch 3.2K PureSight Pro OLED display with a resolution of 1600 x 3200 pixels. It supports a 144Hz refresh rate and reaches 800 nits of brightness. The screen is HDR10+ certified and covers a wide color range, making it suitable for media viewing and creative work.

The tablet is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform. It comes with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. The chipset includes a 20 TOPS NPU, which enables AI-powered functions. AI Live Transcript provides real-time audio transcription for meetings and classes. Lenovo Smart AI Input can generate text, while Lenovo Smart Capture adjusts images for better clarity. These features are designed to improve productivity.

For audio, the Yoga Tab includes four speakers tuned with Dolby Atmos. The device weighs 458 grams and uses a silicon-carbon battery that offers up to 12 hours of video playback. The silicon-carbon battery is designed to provide more efficiency compared to standard lithium-ion batteries.

The Yoga Tab supports the Lenovo Tab Pen Pro, which has 8192 levels of pressure sensitivity and haptic feedback, making it useful for drawing and note-taking. It also works with a 2-in-1 keyboard pack that includes a Smart Key for instant access to AI tools. The tablet comes preloaded with apps such as Adobe Creative Suite and Perplexity Pro.

Lenovo Idea Tab Plus features

The Idea Tab Plus is the more affordable option. It has a 12.1-inch 2.5K LCD display with 96 percent DCI-P3 color coverage and 800 nits of brightness. The device runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 Octa-Core processor. It comes with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage.

The Idea Tab Plus includes a 10,200 mAh battery that delivers up to 13 hours of video playback. Despite its larger screen, the tablet is thin at 6.29 mm and light at 0.53 kg. It is available in Luna Grey, Cloud Grey, and Sand Rose color options. For sound, it has four speakers with Dolby Atmos tuning.

Both tablets run on Android with Lenovo software features built in. The Yoga Tab focuses on AI and accessories for productivity, while the Idea Tab Plus provides a straightforward mix of performance and entertainment features.

Pricing and Availability

Availability for both models begins in September 2025. The Yoga Tab will start at 499 €, and the Idea Tab Plus will start at 299 €.

Lenovo launched three Legion Pro OLED gaming monitors at IFA 2025: the 32UD-10 (31.5-inch UHD, 240Hz), 27UD-10 (26.5-inch UHD, 240Hz, sharper 166 PPI), and 27Q-10 (26.5-inch QHD, 280Hz). All feature 0.03ms response times, HDR TrueBlack 400, Dolby Vision, adaptive sync, HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, USB-C, USB hub support, and ergonomic stands.

Xiaomi finally launched the Xiaomi Pad 5 in India last week. It is the company’s first tablet in the country in 7 years. Also, this product was first announced in August 2021. It took the firm 8 months to bring it to India. The device is now up for sale in the region. But should you buy it or consider anything else? We try to answer this question in this article.

The Xiaomi Pad 5 is probably the best Android tablet in India in its price segment. The tablet retails at ₹26,999 and ₹28,999 for 6GB + 128GB and 6GB + 256GB memory configurations.

Unlike other Android tablets in the same price range, it offers a Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 SoC, UFS 3.1 storage, 120Hz refresh rate screen, and an 8,720mAh battery. These features are unheard of in this particular price category in India.

But for some reason, you may not like the product. For instance, Android is still not a good platform for tablets due to a lack of optimized apps. Further, it neither has a 3.5mm headphone jack nor a MicroSD card slot. It even lacks a fingerprint sensor and comes only in a WiFi-only variant in the country.

Additionally, Xiaomi is infamous for its tablet software support. Anyway, the company has promised to deliver Android 12L for the Xiaomi Pad 5.

The Best Xiaomi Pad 5 Alternatives in India

Apple iPad 9th Generation

When we talk about tablets, the iPad is the first product that comes into our mind, and for a good reason. Apple iPads are the most popular tablet product in the world due to their ever-growing reliable app ecosystem. The tablets also offer a premium build and specs to go with it.

The latest entry-level iPad, which also goes by the name of iPad 9th Generation and iPad 10.2 (2021) is the best alternative to the Xiaomi Pad 5 though it starts at  ₹30,900 for the base variant with 64GB storage and only WiFi.

Apart from a much more powerful Apple A13 Bionic chip, the iPad will also receive software updates for 4-5 years. It is the second longest-supported tablet in this price segment. However, if you want more storage space, you will have to spend ₹44,900 for 256GB or ₹56,900 for 256GB and 5G support.

If your budget does not allow you to spend more than the price of the base variant of iPad 9th Generation and you are fine with 64GB, only then go with it.

Lenovo IdeaPad Duet Chromebook

If your usage mostly includes accessing web applications, then it’s better to buy a Chrome OS-powered tablet, which also allows you to use Android as well as Linux apps. The only option in this price range in India is the 2-year-old Lenovo IdeaPad Duet Chromebook.

As of writing this article, the product was being sold at ₹24,999. Unlike most tablets, it ships with a keyboard accessory and a kickstand stand. You only have to buy a stylus separately if you need it.

Most importantly, it Lenovo IdeaPad Duet Chromebook is the longest-supported tablet in its segment. Though It was released in 2020, it will still get updates until June 2028.

Since Chrome OS is getting better with every major update, the tablet should have more features than it launched with in the years to come.

Lenovo Yoga Tab 11

The Lenovo Yoga Tab 11 is arguably the best contender for Xiaomi Pad 5 alternative running Android. Though the tablet is not as powerful as the Pad 5, it offers certain features that are not available on the latter for a price tag of ₹25,999 (as of writing this post).

The Lenovo-branded tablet comes with a MicroSD card slot, a vibrations motor, and a ToF sensor for a face authentication system. It also has quad stereo speakers tuned by JBL and dual microphones with low-power DSP for far-filed voice recognition.

In addition to Dolby Vision support, it also has a built-in stainless steel kickstand which can be used to hand it anywhere. Finally, the only variant sold in India has LTE connectivity and 128GB storage.

The Lenovo Yoga Tab 11 may be less powerful with its MediaTek Helio G90T SoC and 4GB RAM, however, it has been confirmed to receive the Android 12 update by August and will continue to get security updates until April 2024.

Motorola Moto Tab G70

The Motorola Moto Tab G70 can be considered as a lite variant of the Lenovo Yoga Tab 11. It is almost similar to the Lenovo model without some features for a cheaper ₹22,999 price tag (as of writing this post).

It has the same display and chipset as the Yoga Tab 11 but lacks Dolby Vision support, JBL-branded speakers, a built-in stand, and a ToF sensor for biometrics. Finally, it also comes with only 64GB storage instead of 128GB.

For just ₹3,000 less, you lose out on so many features. Anyway, if you are budget is strictly around the price of the Moto Tab G70, it’s the only good option.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite

Just like the Lenovo IdeaPad Duet Chromebook, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is also a 2-year-old product. Though it has already received two Android updates (Android 11 and Android 12), it is still eligible for one more major software update (Android 13).

The tablet is not as powerful as the other two Android competitors since it is run by an Exynos 9611 SoC. But it is feature-rich in terms of software. It also has a 3.5mm headphone jack, which others don’t feature.

Also, unlike any other tablet on the list, it is the only one that ships with a stylus. Talking about price, as of writing this article, the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite was being sold at ₹25,999 (4GB + 64GB, WiFi-only) and ₹29,999 (4GB + 64GB, WiFi + LTE).

After being announced back in June in Europe, the Lenovo Yoga Tab 11 has finally made its way to India. The tablet is powered by the MediaTek Helio G90T SoC and has an 11-inch 2K display. It features a unique stand at its rear that lets it sit at various adjustable angles. Along with this, it also supports the Lenovo Precision Pen 2 stylus as an optional accessory.

Its display is perhaps the most interesting bit from its list of specifications. Sized at 11-inches with a resolution of 2000 x 1200 pixels, it is an IPS TDDI touchscreen display with 400nits brightness, TUV Rheinland certification, and support for Dolby Vision. The display is paired with a JBL-tuned quad-speaker system with Dolby Atmos support.

The Lenovo Yoga Tab 11 packs a large 7,500mAh battery that has been claimed to last for up to 15 hours when watching online video content. The battery can be filled up at 20W.

The tablet’s weight stands at 600g and its dimensions measure 256.8 x 169 x 7.93mm. Its connectivity options include a USB Type-C port, Bluetooth v5, Wi-Fi 802.11AC (2 x 2), USB OTG, and more.

On the software front, the tab runs Android 11 with support for Google Kids Space. Google Kids Space is a library of quality content comprised of recommendations for apps, games, books, and videos.

The Lenovo Yoga Tab 11 is priced at Rs. 40,000 for the sole 4GB RAM + 128GB storage option. The storage is high-speed UFS 2.1 and can be expanded further by up to 256GB thanks to the inclusion of a microSD card slot. The color option is again one – Storm Grey. It can be purchased from Amazon India and Lenovo’s online store.

Lenovo has announced three new tablets that cover the high-end and mid-range categories. The tablets are the YOGA Tab 13, the YOGA Tab 11, and the Tab P11 Plus.

YOGA Tab 13 and YOGA Tab 11

The YOGA Tab 13 is the same tablet that launched in China as the YOGA Pad Pro last month. Lenovo has modified the name for the international market and launches it alongside a smaller version called the YOGA Tab 11. Both have a bracket that doubles as a kickstand and a hanger.

The YOGA Tab 13 is powered by the Snapdragon 870 processor and has 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage. The display is a 13-inch LTPS panel with Dolby Vision and a 60Hz refresh rate. There are quad JBL speakers, Dolby Atmos, and three microphones.

The YOGA Tab 13 has support for HDMI input, allowing it to double as an external display for your other devices. This feature is not available on the smaller YOGA Tab 11 which also drops the Snapdragon 870 for MediaTek’s Helio G90T processor.

The YOGA Tab 11 has an 11-inch TDDI LCD screen with a 60Hz refresh rate and Dolby Vision. There is 4GB or 8GB of RAM and 256GB or 128GB of storage. It also has quad JBL speakers and Dolby Atmos.

The YOGA Tab 13 has a 10000mAh battery capacity and supports 30W fast charging while the YOGA Tab 11 has a 7500mAh battery and supports 20W fast charging. Both run Android 11 out of the box and come with Google Entertainment Space and Google Kids Space.

The YOGA Tab 13 is priced at €799 and will go on sale in Europe this month while it will be available in the US in July for $680. The YOGA Tab 11 is priced at €349 and will be available in Europe next month while it will sell for $320 in the US and will be available in August. It is also the only one of the two that is available in Wi-Fi and LTE variants. Both tablets support the Lenovo Precision Pen 2.

Lenovo Tab P11 Plus

The Tab P11 Plus joins its already announced siblings – the Tab P11 and the Tab P11 Pro. The new tablet is powered by MediaTek’s Helio G90T processor and will be available in three configurations with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage.

The 11-inch IPS LCD display has a 2000 x 1600 resolution and draws power from a 7500mAh battery that supports 20W fast charging. While positioned as an entertainment tablet with its quad speakers with Dolby Atmos, there is an optional productivity pack that adds a keyboard with a trackpad so you can use it to get some work done.

The Tab P11 Plus also runs Android 11 and has Google Kids Space and Google Entertainment Space loaded on it. The tablet will be available in Europe next month for €300 while the US will get it for $260 in August.
