The device is expected to feature a full-screen design with a notch on the top of the display to house the front speaker and selfie shooter. The renders were outed during the tech trade fair but here is a fresh set of renders designed by <a href="https://twitter.com/VenyaGeskin1/status/971251743270031360" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Benjamin Geskin</a> based on the MWC leak.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/LG-G7-Neo-Concept-5.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-177460" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/LG-G7-Neo-Concept-5-1024x683.jpg?x10805" alt="LG G7 Neo" width="640" height="427" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/LG-G7-Neo-Concept-5-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/LG-G7-Neo-Concept-5-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/LG-G7-Neo-Concept-5-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/LG-G7-Neo-Concept-5.jpg 2048w" sizes="(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px" /></a></p>

<p>The number of smartphones that would feature the notch design keeps growing by the day and the LG G7 Neo is set to join the trend which was sparked of by the iPhone X. The concept renders show both the front and rear design of the 2018 LG flagship.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/LG-G7-Neo-Concept-6.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-177461" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/LG-G7-Neo-Concept-6-1024x683.jpg?x10805" alt="LG G7 Neo" width="640" height="427" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/LG-G7-Neo-Concept-6-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/LG-G7-Neo-Concept-6-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/LG-G7-Neo-Concept-6-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/LG-G7-Neo-Concept-6.jpg 2048w" sizes="(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px" /></a></p>
<p>At the front, the notch at the top of the display is the main standout feature but the device also seems to have a nearly bezel-less design. The notch will house the selfie camera as well as the speaker and other sensors. The left and right side of the notch will also function as notification bars. At the rear, there is a dual camera setup stacked vertically and located at the top centre. The rear cameras are accompanied by an LED flash. There is also a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/LG-G7-Neo-Concept-8.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-177463" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/LG-G7-Neo-Concept-8-1024x683.jpg?x10805" alt="LG G7 Neo" width="640" height="427" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/LG-G7-Neo-Concept-8-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/LG-G7-Neo-Concept-8-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/LG-G7-Neo-Concept-8-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/LG-G7-Neo-Concept-8.jpg 2048w" sizes="(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px" /></a></p>

<p>Specs wise, the LG G7 (Neo) is said to pack a 6-inch OLED display with a resolution of 3120×1440pixlels. The device will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 845 chip paired with 6GB of RAM while there is up to 128GB of storage onboard. It is yet to be seen if this design will be able to win LG a sizable slice of the high-end mobile phone market share this time around.</p>

Instead, it had announced the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/lg-v30s-thinq/">V30S</a> ThinQ and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/lg-v30s-thinq-2/">V30 ThinQ+</a> as AI driven edition of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/lg-v30-plus/">LG V30S</a> smartphone from last year. Earlier this week, an Israeli tech publication had shared <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/02/28/lg-g7-neo-shows-photos-video-notch/">leaked photos of LG G7 Neo smartphone</a> from MWC 2018. It was revealed that the handset is packed with flagship specs. At that time, popular leakster Evan Blass had claimed that it could be a prototype of the scrapped version of the LG G7. He said that LG may have scrapped it in favor of the upcoming LG Judy phone. Fresh information shared by Blass claims that it is indeed the next flagship phone from the company. He has also revealed that it had showcased the LG G7 Neo behind closed doors to select group of invitees.</p>
<p>In the previous month, Blass had revealed plenty of information on the specs of an <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/02/17/lg-launch-flagship-6-1-display-snapdragon-845-june/">upcoming LG flagship phone that is codenamed as Judy.</a> The tipster has now claimed that the Neo is the original codename of the LG’s next generation flagship and it is the very same Judy phone.</p>
<p>The LG G7 Neo was spotted at MWC 2018 with iPhone X-like design with a notch on its top bezel. Since it bears resemblance with the iPhone X, LG employees are reportedly unhappy about the copied design.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-176522" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/LG-G7-Neo-at-MWC-2018.jpg?x10805" alt="LG G7 Neo at MWC 2018" width="1000" height="840" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/LG-G7-Neo-at-MWC-2018.jpg 1000w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/LG-G7-Neo-at-MWC-2018-300x252.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/LG-G7-Neo-at-MWC-2018-768x645.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/LG-G7-Neo-at-MWC-2018-95x80.jpg 95w" sizes="(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px" /></p>

<p>It features a 6-inch screen that supports 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a screen resolution of 1440 x 3120. These specs match with the display configuration of the LG Judy phone. According to Blass, the LG G7 Neo shown at MWC 2018 has OLED panel, but when the phone will be officially unveiled later this year, it will be coming with MLCD technology display.</p>
<p>The other specs of the forthcoming LG flagship are Snapdragon 845 chipset, 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage, 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, 16-megapixel dual rear cameras with f/1.6 aperture, 3000mAh battery, boombox speakers. LG has confirmed that it will be launching its next flagship phone in <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/02/27/lg-flagship-arriving-first-half-2018-called-lg-g7/">the first half of the year</a>. The tipster had revealed in the last month that it will be announced by June this year.</p>
<p>Apart from the LG G7 Neo, the South Korean company had also revealed the upcoming LG Q7 and V35 smartphones and a new smartwatch privately to its select clients.</p>

Images and photos of a phone called the LG G7 Neo have been posted online by an Israeli publication that got to spend some time with the device.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-176296" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/LG-G7-Neo-front.jpg?x10805" alt="LG G7 Neo" width="414" height="652" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/LG-G7-Neo-front.jpg 414w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/LG-G7-Neo-front-190x300.jpg 190w" sizes="(max-width: 414px) 100vw, 414px" /></p>
<p>The LG G7 Neo is said to have a 6&#8221; display with a new OLED technology. The screen also has a 3120 x 1440 resolution and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Yes, that aspect ratio is as a result of a notch in the display.</p>
<p>If you watch the video below below, the phone is shown to sport a notch in some scenes and doesn&#8217;t have one in others. Even in the image above, you can&#8217;t see the notch. But can you see the clock, network, and battery icons are positioned above the “rest of the display”? Confused? Don&#8217;t be.</p>
<p>The notch sort of “hides” on the homescreen too just like it happens when you are playing a video on a device with a notch like the iPhone X, Essential PH-1 or the new ASUS Zenfone 5. It sure is a pretty neat trick. It is said that an 8MP wide-angle camera resides within the cut-out.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-176295" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/LG-G7-Neo-rear.jpg?x10805" alt="LG G7 Neo rear" width="640" height="360" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/LG-G7-Neo-rear.jpg 640w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/LG-G7-Neo-rear-300x169.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px" /></p>
<p>On the rear, the LG G7 Neo has dual cameras. Both are 16MP sensors but one has a F/1.6 aperture with OIS while the other is a wide-angle lens with a F/1.9 aperture. Below the setup is a fingerprint scanner but this doesn&#8217;t double as a power button like in the LG G6.</p>

<p>The LG G7 Neo is said to be powered by a Snapdragon 845 processor and has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. It also has a 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM variant. The battery capacity is said to be 3000mAh and there are other features like BoomBox Audio<img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/13.1.0/72x72/2122.png" alt="™" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> and DTS-X.</p>
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true">
<p lang="en" dir="ltr">Little bird told me that in the same venue that this G7 was being shown, there was also a Q7 and V35. And a new watch.</p>

<p>According to Evan Blass, the LG G7 Neo may be the device canceled in favor of the new codenamed Judy set to arrive in H2 2018. In another tweet, he also said he was informed that LG also had the LG Q7, LG V35, and a new watch at the event.</p>
