South Korean tech powerhouse LG has introduced three more models from its Gram lineup to the Indian market. They are the LG Gram 14, LG Gram 16, and LG Gram 17 lightweight laptops all coming with the 11th generation Intel Core processor. The company, in unveiling the ultra-light products in India, states that the LG Gram lineup was designed to maximize the usability for the consumers, with superior performance and strong battery life. The LG Gram models are focused on providing the latest technology that enhances their lifestyle.

The LG Gram 17 (17Z90P), the Gram 16 (16Z90P), and the Gram 14 (14Z90P) are the 3 models, and they share several common features. All three models have a 16:10 display, similar processors, Iris Xe Graphics, and LPDDR4X RAM. The Gram 17 and Gram 16 both have a WQXGA (2560 x 1600 pixels) display while the Gram 14 comes with a WUXGA (1920 x 1200 pixels) display.

The three models are USB type 4 compatible, have Thunderbolt 4 ports, and strong battery life. With USB 4 compatibility, each of the models can be charged through the USB Type-C port. Lastly, the LG Gram 17 and Gram 16 each have 80Wh high-density batteries, which are more efficient.

All three LG Gram laptops are available both online and offline outlets across the subcontinent. The starting price for the lowest model is Rs. 74,999 ($1,010). LG hopes the new products will get a great reception in India.

Earlier today (15th January 2021), LG officially announced that its Gram lineup of lightweight notebooks are launching in China in February 2021. The new ultrabooks were announced during CES 2021.

The new LG Gram notebooks are the company’s latest offerings in the lightweight ultrabook categories and will feature Intel’s latest 11th Gen mobile processors. Furthermore, these laptops will also feature a 16:10 aspect ratio, with an enlarged keyboard and trackpad for more convenient productivity. The new laptops from the South Korean tech giant include the LG Gram 17 (model 17Z90P), LG Gram 16 (model 16Z90P), LG Gram 14 (model 14Z90P), LG Gram 2 in 1 16 (model 16T90P), and LG Fram 2 in 1 14 (model 14T90P).

Under the hood, the 2021 lineup of the LG Gram notebooks will also feature Intel’s EVO platform certification along with its 11th Gen Core processors. In other word, the laptops will feature Iris Xe graphics as well, paired with LPDDR4X memory. Notably, despite the LG Gram 17 featuring a large 17 inch display, the notebook only weighs 1.35 kilograms.

Similarly, the other laptops are even lighter, with the gram 16 and Gram 14 weighing just 1.2 kilograms and 999 grams respectively. Furthermore, in terms of dimensions, both laptops measure less than 1.68 cm in thickness, with the Gram 14 and 16 inch 2 in 1 thin and light notebook also being shipped with a Wacom AES 2.0 compatible stylus.

Korean tech giant LG has officially unveiled a new lineup of its Gram laptops. The 2021 edition of the Gram series consists of five models of which three are clamshell models while the remaining two are convertible models. The lineup features a new design as well as some internal upgrades.

The three clamshell models include the LG Gram 17, Gram 16, and Gram 14. While the two convertible models include the Gram 2-in-1 16 and the Gram 2-in-1 14. The LG Gram laptops are known for their lightweight build from where the name Gram was derived from. The largest model which is the Gram 17 2021 weighs just 2.98 pounds which is the same weight as its predecessor. On the other hand, LG Gram 16 is just 2.62 pounds while the Gram 14 weighs 2.2 pounds.

The 2021 Gram 17 adopts a 16:10 display which offers more vertical space than a traditional 16:9 panel. Further, LG says the new clamshell models have a new “four-sided slim bezel design” which achieves a screen-to-body ratio of 90 percent. The laptop also comes with small bezels which adds to the overall aesthetic.

The 2021 Gram models also come with an enlarged keyboard and touchpad “for comfort and efficiency.” However, where the laptops see the most change i in the internals. All of the new Gram laptops have Intel’s 11th-Gen Core processors and can come with Iris Xe graphics or UHD graphics. All of the models are also certified through Intel’s Evo program, which is an Intel badge meant to certify the laptop can get at least nine hours of battery life, wake from sleep quickly, and other features. LG claims the Gram 17, Gram 16, and 16 2-in-1 can deliver up to 19.5 hours of use.

“Synonymous with unprecedented portability and first-class performance, the LG gram brand continues to raise the bar for the ultra-lightweight and slim laptop market,” said Jang Ik-hwan, LG senior vice president and head of the company’s IT business unit, in a statement. “With sleeker, more refined designs and 16:10 aspect ratio displays, while maintaining their lightweight, our latest LG gram lineup gives consumers the ability to enjoy better productivity and more immersive viewing experiences wherever they go.”

LG is yet to announce the pricing and availability details.
