LG Electronics USA has released pricing and availability information for the LG Ultra PC Premium Laptop Series 2022. According to the company, the 16- and 17-inch screens on the 2022 Ultra PCs are ideal for a wide range of customers who want portability, style, and lightweight without sacrificing performance.

These new Ultra PCs are equipped with 12th-generation Intel processors or AMD Ryzen processors. The 17-inch model is powered by Intel, while the 16-inch model is powered by AMD.

The 17-inch model has an IPS WQXGA 2,560 x 1,600 resolution display with a 16:10 aspect ratio. The panel offers 99% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut. Under the hood, it features an Intel Core i7 processor, Nvidia RTX 3050 graphics, and a Gen4 512GB NVMe SSD with 16GB DDR5 RAM. It also has a large 80Wh battery pack. Lastly, the laptop measures 15 x 10.78 x 0.78 inches and weighs 4.37 pounds (1.98 kg).

Coming to the 16-inch model features a 1,920 x 1200 resolution display. Under the hood, the device features an AMD Ryzen 7 5825U chipset paired with 16GB of LPDDR4 RAM and a 512GB/1TB NVME SSD. For graphics, the 16-inch model features an integrated AMD Radeon Vega 8. Both models come with a stereo speaker setup with two 1.5W speakers.

Pricing and availability

The LG Ultra PC 17-inch (17U70Q) is priced at $1599, while the LG Ultra PC 16-inch (16U70Q) is priced at $1299. Both laptops are available for purchase from LG.com and select retailers like Best Buy in the US.

LG will start selling its latest laptops under the LG Ultra PC brand in Europe later this month. The Ultra PC series comes in two sizes – 14 inches and 16 inches. They are powered by AMD’s Ryzen processors and offer 16:10 IPS panels. The new laptops have a lightweight chassis and come with other features.

The LG Ultra PC 14U70Q and LG Ultra PC 16U70Q both sports a matte finish for their displays and are both premium offerings. They come with a straightforward design in addition to the modern processor. The Ryzen 5 5625U and Ryzen 7 5825U options are available for the new laptops. The AMD Ryzen 7 5825U is an 8-core model with 16 threads capable of 4.5GHz CPU clock speeds. The new LG Ultra PC series have long-lasting and durable batteries. Users are assured of up to 21 hours of battery life for the 72Wh batteries.

The Ultra PC 14U70Q offers 300 nits of brightness while the 16-inch model peaks at 250 nits. Both laptops output 1,200 pixels resolution and offer 16GB of LPDDR4X dual-channel RAM. The internal storage available is up to 1TB. There are HDMI, USB-A, and USB-C ports and the 14-inch model is up to 300g lighter than the bigger laptop.

Full pricing details for the new LG lineup of the Ultra PC series are not available at this time. The models will be available within this month and the starting price is €1,199 ($1,204) for the 14-inch model while the 16-inch laptop starts at €1,399 ($1,404). There are no details yet on the global availability of the new LG Ultra PC series laptops.
