LG Electronics has just launched a brand new monitor from its popular UltraGear gaming series. The new model is the 49GR85DC, which is an ultrawide curved gaming monitor model. So here are all the details.

As the model number suggests, the new UltraGear monitor sports a tall 49 inch display that has a 32:9 aspect ratio. The panel offers a Dual QHD resolution, 3000:1 contrast ratio, 240Hz refresh rate, and 1000nits of peak brightness. This screen also comes with VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification and 1000R curvature. For ports, it houses a DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.1 ports for connectivity. The rear also features LED Hexagon backlighting, which adds to its gaming aesthetic.

Being a gaming monitor, response times are a crucial aspect and the new 49GR85DC model offers 1ms response time. It even offers 95 percent DCI P3 color gamut support and is based on a VA panel. According to Seo Young-jae, Senior VP and Head of the IT Business Unit of LG Electronics Business Solutions Company, “With the gaming monitor market expanding, the demand for larger displays with exceptional picture quality and high refresh rates is on the rise. The new LG UltraGear is a versatile and premium display solution that caters to the diverse needs of modern day consumers.”

The LG UltraGear gaming monitor is now available for purchase in the US for a price start of 1,299 US Dollars via the company’s official stores. It will also be available in launched in other regions including Europe later this month, with an Asia launch slated to follow soon after. Notably, this launch also arrives mere days after the brand announced the new UltraGear 27GR75Q earlier this month.

LG Electronics has announced its new lineup of UltraGear Gaming Monitors offering up to 260Hz refresh rates and ATW polarizer technology. The models include 32GQ850, 32GO950, and 48GO900 UltraGear Monitors.

The 2022 LG UltraGear lineup of gaming monitors come with a refined design. They also offer cutting-edge display technology to go with high refresh rates. The new LG gaming monitor offerings are bound to catch the fancy of the gaming market. The 32GO950 model has a 4K Nano IPS display with the ATW polarizer guaranteeing an accurate color output. The 32GQ850 gaming monitor features a QHD Nano IPS display with ATW polarizer technology as well. The display refresh rate of the 32GQ850 model is between 240Hz and 260Hz. On the other hand, the 48GO900 model sports LG’s first OLED display for the UltraGear brand.

The new LG UltraGear Gaming Monitors have angular stands, Hexagon lighting, and HDMI 2.1 support. The HDMI rating allows for variable refresh rates and rapid 4K gaming both on PCs and game consoles. The picture quality on offer in the new LG lineup of gaming monitors is very high. The monitors also offer super-fast response times via the Nano IPS display technology. The 32GO950 and 32GQ850 are both 32-inch monitors while the 48GO900 sports a 48-inch screen.

LG has launched a new gaming monitor under its UltraGear series. Recall that the UltraGear was announced alongside the UltraWide and UltraFine Ergo displays at CES 2020. The device comes with the model number “34GP83-A”. The monitor is similar to the LG 27GN950-B launched in July in that it features a curved Nano IPS panel with fast response times, G-Sync compatibility, and a high refresh rate delivering “the latest hardware, specs, ergonomics, sleek design and sensory experience” needed to complete your gaming setup.

The gaming monitor packs a 34-inch ultrawide, curved Nano IPS panel with a  resolution of 3440×1440 pixel, 1ms G2G response time, a 144Hz refresh rate. This monitor alsocomes with 178º (R/L), 178º (U/D) wide viewing angles. This 10-bit panel has a contrast ratio of 1000:1 and 400nits of brightness, covering 98% of the DCI-P3 wide colour gamut. Additionally, it comes colour calibrated out-of-the-box.

Further, the LG 34PG83-A UltraGear monitor is certified with VESA DisplayHDR 400, allowing the monitor to playback HDR content for an enhanced viewing experience. It also features Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync (Premium) allowing users to enjoy gaming sessions without stutter and tearing. Other gaming-oriented features include Dynamic Action Sync, to reduce input lag, Black Stabilizer, to improve clarity in darker areas, and a crosshair overlay, to elevate you aiming to the next level, are included. Reader mode and flicker-free technology to reduce the user’s eye strain are also present.

Connectivity options include 2x HDMI ports, a DisplayPort, an audio-out 3.5mm jack, a USB upstream ports, and 2x USB downstream ports. The monitor’s stand allows you to adjust its height by 110mm and tilt it, but you can also increase its ergonomics with a monitor bracket thanks to the VESA 100x100mm support.

The LG 34PG83-A UltraGear monitor is presently available to pre-order on LG’s website. It carries a price tag of $999.99.
