Now, the company has officially sent out media invites for a launch event on 26th June.</p>
<p>While the company has not revealed the name of the smartphone in question reports indicates that the first smartphone in this new W-series will be called LG W10. Some other details about the phone have also been leaked.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-260539 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/lg-w10-launch-date.jpg?x10805" alt="LG W Series Launch Date India" width="527" height="720" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/lg-w10-launch-date.jpg 527w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/lg-w10-launch-date-220x300.jpg 220w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/lg-w10-launch-date-307x420.jpg 307w" sizes="(max-width: 527px) 100vw, 527px" /></p>
<p>It&#8217;s confirmed from the company&#8217;s earlier teasers that the LG W10 smartphone will come with three rear camera sensors. The teaser also reveals that the phone will come with support for Wide Angle image capabilities. Further, the company has teased that the notch on top of the display can be customized as per the user&#8217;s mood or can get rid of it.</p>
<p>The phone also has a back-mounted fingerprint sensor for security. The LG W10 smartphone will be launched in three color options but what those options will be have not been revealed yet. Given that the smartphone is &#8220;Amazon Special&#8221;, it will be available for purchase in India exclusively through Amazon.</p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400"><div class="su-note" style="border-color:#e5e5e5;border-radius:3px;-moz-border-radius:3px;-webkit-border-radius:3px;"><div class="su-note-inner su-u-clearfix su-u-trim" style="background-color:#ffffff;border-color:#ffffff;color:#333333;border-radius:3px;-moz-border-radius:3px;-webkit-border-radius:3px;"></span><span style="color: #ff0000"><strong>Editor&#8217;s Pick: </strong></span><a title="LG’s 5G phone launch could be delayed due to lingering license negotiations with Qualcomm" href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/06/13/lgs-5g-phone-launch-could-be-delayed-due-to-lingering-license-negotiations-with-qualcomm/" rel="bookmark"><strong>LG’s 5G phone launch could be delayed due to lingering license negotiations with Qualcomm</strong></a><b></b><span style="font-weight: 400"></div></div></span></p>
<p>It has also been <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/06/11/more-lg-w-series-details-leaks-big-battery-12nm-processor-and-more/">revealed</a> that the phone will be powered by a 12nm octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz. Now, there are a couple of processors that fall under this category but it seems that the device could be powered by Qualcomm&#8217;s Snapdragon 439 SoC or <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/mediatek">MediaTek</a>&#8216;s Helio P22 or Helio P60 processor.</p>
<p>The LG W10 smartphone will come powered by a 4,000mAh battery which should be enough to provide power for an entire day of usage on a single charge. We don&#8217;t know yet if the phone has fast charging support. It will also come with the company&#8217;s Boombox proprietary sound technology. The smartphone will come with <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/android-pie">Android 9 Pie</a> operating system out-of-the-box with the company&#8217;s own custom interface.</p>
<p>While the pricing details are not yet known, the teasers say that it will have a “pocket-worthy price tag” and “never before prices”, so we are optimistic about aggressive pricing. To know for sure what the company is planning for this LG W-series smartphone, we&#8217;ll have to wait for a few more days as the launch event is just around the corner &#8212; on 26th June.</p>

Live photos of a phone said to be the LG W10 have leaked and they are different from the one we covered <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/06/13/live-photo-of-the-lg-w-series-smartphone-leaks-no-earphone-jack-in-sight/">a few days ago</a>.</p>
<p>According to <em>91 mobiles</em> who first reported the news, the W10 is the base model in the series. As you can see in the image below, it has a curved back unlike the other one we have seen which has a flat back. We also don&#8217;t think the back is made of glass but rather metal with a glossy finish.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-259263" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W10.jpg?x10805" alt="LG W10" width="696" height="928" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W10.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W10-225x300.jpg 225w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W10-315x420.jpg 315w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></p>
<p>The LG W10 is said to have dual rear cameras. We can only see the LED flash and know the cameras are arranged vertically. There is also a fingerprint scanner in the middle.</p>
<p>Unlike the other LG W-series phone we have seen, this comes in purple and doesn&#8217;t have a gradient finish. It also has a 3.5mm audio jack on one side of the USB port while a speaker grille is on the opposite side.</p>
<p>The LG W10 has been reported to be priced under INR 15,000 (~$214). We don&#8217;t know its specs so we can&#8217;t say if LG is charging too much.</p>
<p>There are speculations the other models will be named W20, W30 and so on which makes sense since the base model is called the W10.</p>
[envira-gallery id=&#8221;259266&#8243;]
<p>Alongside the photo of the W10, another set of photos showing the front of the triple camera model has surfaced on the web. The photos confirm the display has a waterdrop notch but also shows the chin isn&#8217;t anywhere near thin.</p>
<p>We are still expecting LG to announce a launch date.</p>

LG&#8217;s new W series is said to be an affordable and online-only line of smartphones. We expect it to be announced very soon.</p>
<p>The live photo of the phone is of the same gradient blue variant we have seen in promo materials. The phone has three vertically arranged cameras with a slight bump. There is a red ring around one of the sensors and a LED flash below the camera module. The LG W series smartphone also has a fingerprint scanner on the back.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-258759" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W-series-live-photo.jpg?x10805" alt="LG W series live photo" width="806" height="1200" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W-series-live-photo.jpg 806w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W-series-live-photo-202x300.jpg 202w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W-series-live-photo-768x1143.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W-series-live-photo-688x1024.jpg 688w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W-series-live-photo-696x1036.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W-series-live-photo-282x420.jpg 282w" sizes="(max-width: 806px) 100vw, 806px" /></p>
<p>The phone has antenna lines on the sides which means the frame is made of metal that is sandwiched between two pieces of glass. The volume rocker and power button are on the right side of the frame but they appear to be too close to the top.</p>
<p>The photo also shows us a there is a speaker grille flanking the charging port at the bottom. We can&#8217;t see an audio jack at the bottom but there might be one at the top edge. It has already been confirmed that the phone will have LG&#8217;s Boombox sound technology.</p>
<p>The LG W smartphone will also have a waterdrop notch, be powered by a 12nm 2.0GHz octa-core processor, have a 4000mAh battery, and run Android Pie out of the box.</p>

The new smartphones will be sold online only according to reports and Amazon India seems to be the exclusive partner.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-258441" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W-Series.jpg?x10805" alt="LG W Series" width="1200" height="600" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W-Series.jpg 1200w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W-Series-300x150.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W-Series-768x384.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W-Series-1024x512.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W-Series-696x348.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W-Series-1068x534.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W-Series-840x420.jpg 840w" sizes="(max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px" /></p>
<p>Based on a landing page on Amazon, we already know what one of the phones will look like as well as some of its features. Now, more details have surfaced and they include some key specs.</p>
<p>As a refresher, the LG W series smartphone will have a waterdrop notch, triple rear cameras, and a fingerprint scanner on the back. It will also come in three color variants with a gradient finish. The new info says the phone will have a thickness similar to that of a pencil.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-258436" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W-Series-thickness.jpg?x10805" alt="LG W Series thickness" width="1199" height="459" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W-Series-thickness.jpg 1199w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W-Series-thickness-300x115.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W-Series-thickness-768x294.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W-Series-thickness-1024x392.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W-Series-thickness-696x266.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W-Series-thickness-1068x409.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W-Series-thickness-1097x420.jpg 1097w" sizes="(max-width: 1199px) 100vw, 1199px" /></p>
<p>It has also been revealed that the phone will be powered by a 12nm octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GGHz. Now, there are a couple of processors that fall under this category. There are MediaTek&#8217;s Helio P22 and Helio P60 processors. There is also Qualcomm&#8217;s Snapdragon 439 processor. We are not sure which of these chipsets it is but since it also states there will be a focus on AI, it might just be the Helio P60.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-258440" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W-Series-processor.jpg?x10805" alt="LG W Series processor" width="1200" height="661" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W-Series-processor.jpg 1200w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W-Series-processor-300x165.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W-Series-processor-768x423.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W-Series-processor-1024x564.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W-Series-processor-696x383.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W-Series-processor-1068x588.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W-Series-processor-762x420.jpg 762w" sizes="(max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px" /> <img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-258439" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W-Series-battery.jpg?x10805" alt="LG W Series battery" width="1200" height="533" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W-Series-battery.jpg 1200w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W-Series-battery-300x133.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W-Series-battery-768x341.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W-Series-battery-1024x455.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W-Series-battery-696x309.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W-Series-battery-1068x474.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W-Series-battery-946x420.jpg 946w" sizes="(max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px" /></p>
<p>The LG W series smartphone will pair that chipset with a 4000mAh battery that should last a whole day on a single charge. It will also have LG&#8217;s Boombox proprietary sound technology.</p>
<p>LG will ship the phone with Android 9 Pie out of the box. However, we hope it will get an update to Android Q when it is official and also receive regular security updates.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-258438" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W-Series-Boombox.jpg?x10805" alt="LG W Series Boombox" width="1199" height="722" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W-Series-Boombox.jpg 1199w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W-Series-Boombox-300x181.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W-Series-Boombox-768x462.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W-Series-Boombox-1024x617.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W-Series-Boombox-696x419.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W-Series-Boombox-1068x643.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W-Series-Boombox-697x420.jpg 697w" sizes="(max-width: 1199px) 100vw, 1199px" /> <img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-258437" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W-Series-Android-9-Pie.jpg?x10805" alt="LG W Series Android 9 Pie" width="1200" height="752" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W-Series-Android-9-Pie.jpg 1200w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W-Series-Android-9-Pie-300x188.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W-Series-Android-9-Pie-768x481.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W-Series-Android-9-Pie-1024x642.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W-Series-Android-9-Pie-696x436.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W-Series-Android-9-Pie-1068x669.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/LG-W-Series-Android-9-Pie-670x420.jpg 670w" sizes="(max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px" /></p>
<p>There is still no news of when the phone will launch or how much it will cost. The landing page on Amazon does say the phone will have a “pocket-worthy price tag” and “never before prices”, so we are optimistic, it won&#8217;t break the bank.</p>
