LG has launched a new budget model in its home market, South Korea. The new model is dubbed LG X4 (2019) and is a successor of the LG X4+ that was launched last year. The X4 (2019) was also earlier launched as the K40 in South Africa and K12+ in Brazil without any changes to the specifications.

The device ticks most of the boxes to be regarded as a decent device even though it is an entry-level model. The phone offers users a number of spectacular features ordinarily you can get only on the more expensive LG models. Some of these features include powerful audio and AI-enhanced software. The phone also features a dedicated Google Assistant button at the left side of the display. The SIM card tray is located at the bottom left corner of the display just under the Google Assistant button and volume rockers which are also on the left side. The power button is on the right corner.

As for the specifications, the LG X4 (2019) presents with a compact 5.7-inch IPS HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. Despite the aspect ratio, the phone still has a sizeable amount of bezels at the top and bottom edges like a 16:9 aspect ratio phone. The device is powered by a MediaTek Helio P22 chipset paired with 2GB of RAM. The device packs 32GB of expandable storage.

On the camera aspect, the X4 (2019) packs an 8MP selfie cam with front flash. At the back, there is a single 16MP PDAF camera with LED flash. There is also a fingerprint reader at the back. The X4 (2019) gets its juice from a 3000 mAh. It also features DTS:X 3D Surround Sound audio for enhanced listening experience over headphones via the 3.5mm jack. The phone also packs a quad Hi-Fi quad DAC and MIL-STD 810G certification for increased durability.

The LG X4 (2019) runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with LG UX custom skin on top. The cool device will come in Aurora Black and Platinum Gray colors in Korea. It will go on sale on April 26 with a price tag of 297,000 Won ($260/230).

After launching the LG X4+ earlier this year, the South Korea-based company has now launched the LG X4 phone in its X-series of devices in its home market.

The phone features a 5.3-inch HD display with screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. Under the hood, the device is powered by Qualcomm‘s Snapdragon 425 processor, along with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. There’s also a microSD card slot that enables users to further expand the storage capacity.

Coming to the camera, there’s an 8-megapixel rear camera with an LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for taking selfies and video calling. Just below the camera module, there’s a fingerprint sensor which can also be used as a camera button to capture images.

Another feature added is the support for LG Pay, the company’s own payment solution. It also has HD DMB support for better mobile TV experience. Connectivity options on the device include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS, and NFC. The phone, which runs on the older Android 7.1 Nougat operating system out-of-the-box, is powered by a 3,000mAh battery.

The LG X4+, which was introduced a couple of months ago, comes with a rugged design and MIL-STD 810G rating which ensures that the phone can withstand impact, vibration, extreme temperatures, thermal shock, and humidity.

The LG X4 will be available in two color options — Black and Gold and the device is priced at 297,000 won (approximately $273). The phone is already available from all the three major carriers – SKT, KT, and LGU+ in Korea.

LG has introduced a new smartphone called the LG X4+ in South Korea. It is a rugged phone that comes loaded with mid-tier specs.

The LG X4+ includes a 5.3-inch IPS display that produces 720 x 1280 pixels resolution. The Snapdragon 425 SoC fuels the smartphone with 2 GB of RAM. It comes with an inbuilt storage of 32 GB and it also features a microSD card slot. It is driven by a 3,000mAh battery.

It has a main camera of 13-megapixel and has a selfie camera of 5-megapixel. It comes preinstalled with Android 7.0 Nougat and it also features support for LG Pay. The connectivity features available on the smartphone include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC and USB-C.

The LG X4+ also features a fingerprint scanner on its back panel. For immersive audio experience, the phone features Hi-Fi DAC (digital to analog converter). The highlight of the smartphone is that it comes with MIL-STD 810G rating which ensures that it can withstand impact, vibration, extreme temperatures, thermal shock and humidity.

The rear panel of the LG X4+ is made out of aluminum and it measures 148.6 x 75.1 x 8.6mm and weighs 172.3 grams. It will be coming to the market in color choices like blue and violet. The LG X4+ will be releasing in South Korea by the end of this through the top 3 carriers with a price tag of 300,000 won (~$280).
