Logitech has announced its latest gaming headsets equipped with graphene audio drivers. The Logitech G Pro X 2 Lightspeed gaming headset is an innovation that comes with long-awaited graphene drivers. Graphene is an interesting form of carbon that has been hyped and promised as a revolutionary technology for two decades. It offers a lightweight and more reliable option than other materials when used as an audio driver.

The G Pro X 2 gaming headset, according to Logitech, comes with drivers that are both rigid and almost impossibly lightweight. This delivers high-fidelity sound with extremely low distortion for an immersive sound output.

The Logitech G Pro X 2 uses a 50mm graphene diaphragm for its audio driver. Apart from delivering an immersive sound experience, the headset is about 25g lighter than its predecessor. The sound production of the Logitech G Pro X 2 is exquisite when playing games, but the difference in sound quality with non-graphene driver headsets is not fully determined.

The surround sound and DTS sounds of the headset have been shown to be impressive when playing shooter games. The Logitech G Pro X 2 gaming headset goes on sale on May 30 at $249 in the US and €269 in Europe. This is not significantly more expensive than its predecessor with greater functionality and a lightweight, longer-battery life. There are no details for the availability of the headset outside the specified regions yet.
