Lava is preparing to launch a new smartphone under its Yuva brand in India. The upcoming device is called the Lava Yuva 2 and is expected to be officially introduced in the country in early August. It is positioned as a more affordable option compared to the Yuva 2 Pro, which was announced in the first quarter of 2023.

Lava Yuva 2 price in India, configuration

The above image released by the brand confirms that the Lava Yuva 2 will be priced at Rs 6,999, while the existing Yuva 2 Pro is priced at Rs 7,999. Notably, GizmoChina has learned that the Yuva 2 will offer better value for money with 3 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage, compared to other brands offering 2 GB RAM and 32 GB storage in phones in the same price range.

While the detailed specifications of the Lava Yuva 2 are yet to be revealed by the company, it is known that the device will be primarily targeted at the offline market in India. The Yuva 2 Pro, on the other hand, was available through both offline and online channels like Amazon. Whether the Yuva 2 will also be sold on Amazon remains to be seen.

Lava Yuva 2 Pro specifications

The Lava Yuva 2 Pro has a 6.5-inch LCD HD+ display, a 5-megapixel front camera, and 13-megapixel triple cameras with LED flash on the back. The Helio G37 is present under the hood of the device. It ships with 4 GB of RAM, 3 GB of virtual RAM, 64 GB of storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging support. The phone runs on Android 12 OS and offers an anonymous call recording feature. It has a glass back and offers other features like dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, W-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, a USB-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
