Earlier today Meizu confirmed that they will have a new product launch event on June 2nd, which will be held in China. Also, it is now clear that there will be at least one new smartphone launch and it would be a successor to the affordable Note series (M2 Note or M1 Note 2, whatever the company decides to name it).

It turns out that the Meizu M2 Note is up and running and it has been pictured next to the MX4 Pro. This leak comes from the Chinese social network Weibo’s user @ubuntu.

We can clearly see that the device is similar to the MX4 Pro in terms of overall size. However, the home button seems to be redesigned and this time around it has an oval shape. We already know that the Meizu M2 Note will not have a fingerprint sensor as it was just confirmed by one of the executives. Still, there is one more proof the upcoming device will not carry this technology.

What is more, the translation from the Chinese language confirms that there is no fingerprint security option in the settings menu. On the other hand, the new device will come with the newest version of Flyme OS based on Android 5.1 Lolipop out of the box.

Meizu may not keep up with the current trend of fingerprint sensors in midrange Chinese smartphones, but we still expect the heck of the device for a bargain price. We have just a few weeks left to find out whether it is worth your attention or not.

Meizu just recently announced that they will have a new product launch on June 2nd in China. There were some talks that the invitation implied that the company may release a successor to the Meizu M1 Note and it should have a fingerprint scanner.

However, it is still not clear if the Meizu note device will carry a fingerprint sensor as some new rumours suggest that although the smartphone will have a physical home button, but it will not have finger scanning technology embedded.

However, all the talks and rumours should be cleared out now as one the Meizu’s vice presidents shared some news with us. First, the executive confirmed that the company will indeed release the successor to the Note series. Also, it will have a round home button, but… IT WILL NOT HAVE A FINGERPRINT SENSOR!

Now when it is clear what to expect from the new budget device, we have a question why would Meizu choose to implement a physical home button? It seems that the company is trying to do all kinds of tricks to stay in the game, but we do not think that this might be a solution. What do you think?

Last year Xiaomi entered Indian Market with a Bang. Their phones used to sell out in seconds through flash sales. Now a new Chinese Giant is about to enter India. Yes, Meizu India is official and looks like they will be landing in a month or so.

The banner above was showcased on their official Meizu India Facebook page. Meizu is one of the top Companies in China and it may be a great threat to Xiaomi in India. LetzWrite posted a picture in which a Meizu official is talking about the launch. It may be a fake picture but now Meizu has wrapped of the curtains after posting this banner saying “Hello Indian fans”.

Seeing the the posts on the Meizu India Facebook page, it looks like Meizu is planning to bring M1 Note to India. M1 Note will be placed in budget segment and would cost around INR 12,000 including taxes. It ill be competing with phones like Moto G, Mi3, Wammy Titan 4, Redmi Note and Yu Yureka.

Meizu seems to be all around the news lately with its recent announcements of new devices and then a bunch of leaks of the upcoming Meizu M1 Mini. This time around we have some news and the live picture of the upcoming Meizu M1 Note Mini in an interesting, but great looking electric green colour option.

This picture was posted on Weibo social network by the VC of Meizu Li Nan. One of the top executives again confirmed the upcoming press conference, which will be held on January 28th by the company.

As you can see the device’s colour is completely different from what we have seen so far in the company’s portfolio. What is more, the device sits next to the camera, which is in exact same colour. We wonder if it is a hint to some other device? Well, just a few days till we find out. Moreover, the colour options will differ from the Blue Charm Note line since this device will be offered in this green, yellow and other colours.

Since previous leaks we know that the upcoming device by Meizu will have a 5-inch display, quad-core processor equipped (most likely MT6732). Also, it will spot a 5mp front and 13 mp rear camera. Finally,  the price may be only 799 yuan.

The Chinese company Meizu recently announced their budget-friedly, yet great phablet – M1 Note. It is well built, has great specifications, which include 5.5-inch 1920 x 1080p resolution display, 64-bit 1.7GHz octa-core Mediatek MT6752 processor with 2GB RAM and 16/ 32GB internal storage options, 13MP camera at the back, 5MP snapper at the front, 3,140 mAh battery and more for amazingly low price in China – $160.

However, if you feel like buying this device, it may become difficult to get it if you live outside China. On the other hand, there is a solution – usually you get it through the third party resellers, which sell the devices online.

If you live in China, you may think that you could buy the smartphone from the official Meizu’s physical store, where you could have some hands-on experience with the device. However, taking into account the amazingly low price of the M1 Note and some other devices by Meizu, the manufacturer has recently announced that their newest budget-friendly smartphone will cost more in the physical stores than in online stores.

Following this announcement on Meizu’s Weibo account, the manufacturer further explains that this is due to the facts like the cost of rent, labour and utilities. Thus, all this adds up to the final price of the device and it becomes higher. The Meizu also mentioned that the manufacturers like Xiaomi, Huawei and Nubia follow the same strategy and their devices are also being sold at the higher price, so it cannot be an exception from the Meizu M1 Note.

This also explains why the price of the Meizu M1 Note will be higher through the third party resellers like Oppomart or others. However, since the customer cannot have a physical hands-on experience of the smartphone and the device is not bought directly from the company, but from a reseller, Meizu assures a couple of things:

1. All the Meizu M1 Note smartphones bought through a variety of different channels (including third party resellers) are exactly the same, with the same workmanship and quality.

2.They also enjoy the same national warranty policy of Meizu, strictly implementing the National Three-Warranty Policy.

3. Meizu will strive to enhance the capacity and increase the supply. The balance between the supply and the demand will finally allow the consumers to be able to buy cheaper Meizu phones.

So here we can see that the Meizu will not sell the Note M1 device at the amazingly low price of 999 Yuan and it has its own above mentioned reasons. Therefore, this explains why the device will cost a bit more through the third party resellers. In addition to this, we need take into consideration Meizu’s statement that the devices bought outside the official channel are genuine and enjoy the same warranty by the manufacturer.
