<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/apple">Apple</a> has already launched a couple of devices powered by the new Apple Silicon M2 series chips, and the Cupertino-based technology giant has been working on new MacBook models with more powerful M2 chips.</p>

<p>Now, in the latest development, a report from Bloomberg&#8217;s Mark Gurman claims that the 14-inch MacBook Pro and the 16-inch <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/apple-macbook-pro">MacBook Pro</a>, powered by the M2 Pro and M2 Max chips, could get launched in early 2023.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="538" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/Apple-MacBook-Pro-Featured-1024x538.png?x44794" alt="Apple MacBook Pro Featured" class="wp-image-503524" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/Apple-MacBook-Pro-Featured-1024x538.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/Apple-MacBook-Pro-Featured-300x158.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/Apple-MacBook-Pro-Featured-768x403.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/Apple-MacBook-Pro-Featured-696x365.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/Apple-MacBook-Pro-Featured-1068x561.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/Apple-MacBook-Pro-Featured-800x420.png 800w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/Apple-MacBook-Pro-Featured.png 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Apple&#8217;s 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The new MacBook Pro models <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/10/19/apple-14-16-inch-macbook-pro-launch-next-month/">were expected to go official</a> this year, but the product has been getting delayed internally, and now it appears that the company has finally fixed whatever the issue was and is gearing up to launch the devices early next year.</p>

<p>As of now, there&#8217;s no specific launch date available for the 14-inch and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/macbook-pro-16-inch">16-inch MacBook Pro</a> models, but we expect the laptops to get launched around March 2023. Apart from the upgraded chips and maybe faster RAM, the laptops are not expected to have any other major change compared to the current models.</p>

<p>The 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro currently available in the market were launched in October last year and come powered by the M1 Pro and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/apple-m1-max">M1 Max</a> chips. They feature a new design where the display has a notch at the top-center of the screen. It also comes with an HDMI port, a MagSafe port, and an SD card reader slot.</p>

<p>Apart from the new MacBook Pro models, the report adds that the company is also working on a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/apple-imac">new iMac</a> which will be powered by an M3 chip and is expected to launch by the end of 2023. The company is also reportedly working on new <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/apple-mac-mini">Apple Mac Mini</a> powered by the M2 series chip, but no launch timeline is available for now.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/apple">Apple</a> recently unveiled its latest iPad and iPad Pro models, along with a new Apple TV 4K. Now, the next lineup of products to get refreshed is the highly anticipated MacBook Pro 14-inch and 16-inch models.</p>

<p>The new Apple MacBook Pro models were expected to go official this month, i.e. in October but a <a href="https://www.bloomberg.com/news/newsletters/2022-10-15/when-is-apple-launching-the-m2-ipad-pro-and-m2-14-inch-and-16-inch-macbook-pro-l9a5t9rc" rel="nofollow">new report from Mark Gurman</a> of <em>Bloomberg</em> suggests that the launch has been delayed to next month.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="538" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/Apple-MacBook-Pro-14-16-Inch-Models-1024x538.png?x44794" alt="Apple MacBook Pro 14-inch and 16-Inch Models" class="wp-image-491164" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/Apple-MacBook-Pro-14-16-Inch-Models-1024x538.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/Apple-MacBook-Pro-14-16-Inch-Models-300x158.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/Apple-MacBook-Pro-14-16-Inch-Models-768x403.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/Apple-MacBook-Pro-14-16-Inch-Models-696x365.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/Apple-MacBook-Pro-14-16-Inch-Models-1068x561.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/Apple-MacBook-Pro-14-16-Inch-Models-800x420.png 800w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/Apple-MacBook-Pro-14-16-Inch-Models.png 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>According to the report, the new 14-inch and 16-inch models of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/apple-macbook-pro">MacBook Pro</a> in November but an exact launch date is not yet known. The company also has a history of launching new MacBook models in November, which it did in the year 2019 and 2020.</p>

<p>Previously, we reported that Apple is planning to launch new MacBook Pro laptops as early as the fall of this year, but the launch could get delayed because of supply chain issues.</p>

<p>The upcoming laptop models will come powered by the Apple Silicon&#8217;s M2 Pro and M2 Max chips, which are not yet officially announced by the Cupertino-based tech giant. There were rumors about the upcoming <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/apple-m2-pro">M2 Pro</a> and M2 Max chips being manufactured using the 3nm process, but recent reports have indicated that the company will stick to the 5nm process for the new chips.</p>

<p>If the reports are to be believed, then the company is expected to move from the N5 process of the M1 Pro and M1 Max chips to the newer N5P process by <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/tsmc">TSMC</a>. As of now, there’s not much information available about the upcoming Pro models of the MacBook, but it’s likely that there won’t be any major changes in terms of design, and we’ll mostly see internal upgrades for better performance.</p>
