Later today at 3:30 PM (local time) in China, Huawei will be announcing the Huawei Maimang 9 smartphone. Recent reports have revealed the entire specs of the handset. A pair of live shots of the Maimang 9 are now doing rounds on Weibo. The new images have once again revealed the specs of the smartphone.

Huawei Maimang 9 5G specifications

The real images of the Huawei Maimang 9 5G shows that it has a punch-hole screen. The size of the display is 6.8 inches and it supports a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The device weighs 212 grams and its dimensions are 170 x 78.5 x 8.9mm.

The MediaTek Dimensity 800 5G chipset fuels the device. The leak reveals that the phone will be available in China in two variants such as 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage. The new leak has no information on the pricing of the Maimang 9 variants. It is speculated that it could end up as the cheapest 5G phone from the brand.

The rear-positioned triple camera system of the Huawei Maimang 9 5G has an f/1.89 aperture 64-megapixel main shooter, an f/2.2 aperture 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, and an f/2.4 aperture 2-megapixel depth sensor. The display punch-hole houses an f/2.4 aperture 16-megapixel selfie camera.  Its already known that the Maimang 95 has a side-facing fingerprint reader.

The Maimang 9 5G has a 4,3200mAh battery that supports 22.5W fast charging. The phone is loaded with Android 10 OS and EMUI 10.1 UI. The phone will be available in three colors like black, white, and green. Reports have claimed that the other name for the Maimang 9 5G is Enjoy 20s.

On July 27, Huawei will be announcing the Maimang 9 5G smartphone. Some reports have revealed that Huawei Enjoy 20s is the other name of the Maimang 9 5G. Ahead of the launch, a listing of the smartphone has emerged on Tmall retailer site of China. The listing has revealed the color options, specifications, and the two variants of the Maimang 9 5G phone.

Huawei Maimang 9 5G specifications

The specifications of the Huawei Maimang 9 are already known as it has been spotted at TENAA and China Telecom product library recently. The Maimang 9 is a rebadged edition of the Honor Play4 with one noticeable difference. The Honor Play4 has an additional 2-megapixel lens in its 64-megapixel quad-camera setup whereas the Maimang 9 has a 64-megapixel triple camera setup.

The Maimang 9 has an IPS LCD display of 6.81 inches. The punch-hole display produces Full HD+ resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. It has a side-mounted fingerprint reader. The Dimensity 800 5G powers the device.

The Maimang 9 has a 4,300mAh battery that supports 22.5W fast charging. It has a front camera of 8-megapixel. The rear camera setup has a 64-megapixel main lens, an 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor, and a 2-megapixel lens. The EMUI 10.1.1 based Android 10 OS comes preinstalled on the Maimang 9.

The Huawei Maimang 9 is listed on Tmall in colors like Qijing Forest (gradient green), Sakura Snow Clear Sky (gradient white), and Magic Night Black. The handset will be available in variants such as 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage. The pricing of these variants will be confirmed through its July 27 unveiling event.

Huawei is soon expected to launch Maimang 9 in China as the successor to Maimang 8 from last year, which is also known as P Smart+ (Plus) is some markets. The handset has leaked multiple times over the past few days including TENAA listing and live images. Now, it has been also spotted listed on China Telecom revealing all of its specs including price.

The upcoming Huawei Maimang 9 will come with model number TNN-AN00. It will be available in two storage variants – 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB respectively. The listing on China Telecom also reveals its starting price to be 2,199 yuan ($314).

Under the hood, the phone will be powered by MediaTek MT6873 5G chipset, which is commonly known as Dimensity 800. On the front, the device will sport a 6.81-inch FHD+ LCD panel with a single punch hole at the top left corner for a 16MP selfie camera.

On the back, the handset will come equipped with a triple camera setup consisting of a 64MP primary sensor paired with an 8MP ultra-wide unit, and a 2MP depth sensor. As for software, the device will run EMUI 10.1 based on Android 10 out of the box.
