<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Huawei-Mate-30-Pro-featured-02.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-279511" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Huawei-Mate-30-Pro-featured-02.jpg?x44794" alt="Huawei Mate 30 Pro featured 02" width="1620" height="1080" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Huawei-Mate-30-Pro-featured-02.jpg 1620w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Huawei-Mate-30-Pro-featured-02-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Huawei-Mate-30-Pro-featured-02-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Huawei-Mate-30-Pro-featured-02-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Huawei-Mate-30-Pro-featured-02-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Huawei-Mate-30-Pro-featured-02-1068x712.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Huawei-Mate-30-Pro-featured-02-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 1620px) 100vw, 1620px" /></a></p>
<p>Huawei has shipped more than 7 million units of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/huawei-mate-30-5g/">Mate 30</a> series globally in the past 60 days. Considering how Mate 30 is <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/08/30/huawei-mate-30-pro-global-release-delayed/">still not available in most global markets</a>, this is a pretty big deal. What&#8217;s more, this also marks a staggering 75% YoY increase in shipments for the Mate series. It&#8217;s very likely that a majority of the units were shipped within China.</p>
<h6 class="related"><strong>Editor&#8217;s Pick: <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/11/22/huawei-nova-6-5g-promo-video-bares-it-all-with-respect-to-design/">Huawei Nova 6 5G promo video bares it all with respect to design</a></strong></h6>
<p>Richard Yu also revealed that its<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/09/19/huawei-watch-gt-2-unveiled-with-always-on-display-2-weeks-battery-life-and-more/"> Huawei Watch GT 2</a> is also doing well. The company managed to sell over 1 million GT2 watches in the past 45 days. <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/huawei">Huawei</a> reached this figure a solid 3 months ahead of last year&#8217;s Watch GT model. He also added that Huawei is now the largest watch manufacturer in China.</p>

<p>Huawei is also China largest tablet manufacturer in terms of market share right now, leading over <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/apple">Apple</a> by a considerable margin. The company expects to sell around 2 million units of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/huawei-mediapad-m6-10-8/">Huawei MediaPad M6</a> by the end of 2019. And with the MatePad Pro, Huawei should further strengthen its position in China&#8217;s tablet market in the coming months.</p>

Meanwhile, the reports about the Mate 30 series phones keep surfacing online.</p>
<p>The Huawei Mate 30 series smartphones, the flagship lineup from the Chinese giant, is expected to get launched in the second half of this year. Now, the latest reports related to the smartphone claims that the company will use a dual-camera setup this time.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-266218 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-30-render-2.jpg?x44794" alt="Huawei Mate 30 Render" width="600" height="337" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-30-render-2.jpg 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/huawei-mate-30-render-2-300x169.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></p>
<p>The report adds that the Huawei Mate 30 series will ditch the company&#8217;s top-of-the-line periscope setup for the rear camera module and will instead come with a new dual-camera setup that will have a dual-size Sony IMX600 series sensors.</p>
<p>It goes on to add that <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/sony">Sony</a> and Huawei are working together for this custom camera sensor and the dimensions could reach 1/1.7 inches and 1/1.5 inches. If this turns out to be true, then it will set a record for the CMOS size of the phone&#8217;s camera module.</p>
<p>Coming to the specifications, rumors indicate that the Huawei Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro, both the devices will come with a full-screen design and under the hood, the devices will be equipped with the company&#8217;s own HiSilicon Kirin 985 chipset.</p>
<div class="su-note" style="border-color:#e5e5e5;border-radius:3px;-moz-border-radius:3px;-webkit-border-radius:3px;"><div class="su-note-inner su-u-clearfix su-u-trim" style="background-color:#ffffff;border-color:#ffffff;color:#333333;border-radius:3px;-moz-border-radius:3px;-webkit-border-radius:3px;"><span style="color: #ff0000"><strong>Editor&#8217;s Pick: </strong></span><a title="Honor’s revolutionary Smart Screen product will be announced at HDC 2019" href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/07/25/honors-revolutionary-smart-screen-product-will-be-announced-at-hdc-2019/" rel="bookmark"><strong>Honor’s revolutionary Smart Screen product will be announced at HDC 2019</strong></a></div></div>
<p>The processor will be made using TSMC&#8217;s second-generation 7nm EUV ultra-UV lithography process and the FC-PoP packaging process will continue to integrate <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/5g">5G</a> basebands but the company can also provide support for 5G basebands externally.</p>
<p>As for the phone&#8217;s battery, the smartphones are expected to pack around 4,200mAh battery and will come with support for 55W Huawei SuperCharge fast charging technology. Given the company&#8217;s past record, we expect the Mate 30 series to go official around September this year. To know for sure, we&#8217;ll have to wait for a few more weeks.</p>
