Reports have revealed that the lineup will include as many as four models. A <a href="https://weibo.com/6048569942/M2uqFA3Ct?from=page_1005056048569942_profile&amp;wvr=6&amp;mod=weibotime&amp;type=comment">leak</a> by Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed the name of the processor, which will drive the Mate 50 series.</p>
<p>The Mate 50 lineup is rumored to include four models, such as the Mate 50e, Mate 50, Mate 50 Pro, and Mate 50 RS Edition. Reports have claimed that the Mate 50e will have the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-778G">Snapdragon 778G</a> SoC, the Mate 50 will feature <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/08/16/huawei-mate-50-snapdragon-888-processor/">the Snapdragon 888</a>, and the Mate 50 Pro and RS Edition will have the Kirin 9000S. However, the new leak suggests that the Mate lineup will feature a new Snapdragon processor.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-324411" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Huawei-Logo-MWC-2019.jpg?x10805" alt="Huawei Logo MWC 2019" width="3000" height="2000" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Huawei-Logo-MWC-2019.jpg 3000w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Huawei-Logo-MWC-2019-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Huawei-Logo-MWC-2019-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Huawei-Logo-MWC-2019-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Huawei-Logo-MWC-2019-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Huawei-Logo-MWC-2019-1068x712.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Huawei-Logo-MWC-2019-630x420.jpg 630w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Huawei-Logo-MWC-2019-1920x1280.jpg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 3000px) 100vw, 3000px" /></p>
<p>According to the tipster, the Mate 50 series is powered by a Snapdragon chipset that has an SM8425 part number and a &#8220;Waipio LTE&#8221; codename. To recall, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 have SM8450 and SM8475 part numbers, respectively.</p>
<p>The SD8G1 and SD8+G1 are 5G-enabled processors, whereas the SM-84250 appears to be the 4G edition of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-8-gen-1">Snapdragon 8 Gen 1</a>. So, the information that has been shared suggests that the Mate 50 series will have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 4G.</p>
<p>The Mate 50e, which appears to be an affordable model, may not feature the SD8G1 4G. Hence, it seems that the other models in the lineup may feature the new chip. The Mate 50 series is expected to offer up to a 120Hz OLED display and run on HarmonyOS 3.0. The lineup will not support 5G connectivity. Reports have claimed that third-party manufacturers have made 5G-enabled phone cases, which can enable 5G connectivity on the Mate 50 lineup.</p>
