It turns out that was only half of the picture, literally and figuratively. The remaining half or rather, the whole picture which includes the specs of the Pro7 Plus have surfaced online.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-142365 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/Meizu-Pro7-Plus-Leak.jpg?x10805" alt="Meizu Pro7 Plus Leak" width="696" height="392" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/Meizu-Pro7-Plus-Leak.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/Meizu-Pro7-Plus-Leak-300x169.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></p>
<p>The new image reveals there will be three Pro7 variants. Two (including the Pro7 Plus) of them will have the Helio X30 while the other Pro7 will get the Helio P25.</p>
<p>The Meizu Pro7 Plus will have the same 1.9-inch secondary display and a 5.7-inch 2K display. RAM is 6GB DDR4X but storage isn&#8217;t mentioned. Camera details are the same as that of the Pro7.</p>
<p>The other difference between the variants is the charging technology. The Pro7 Plus will have an insane 5V/5A mCharge fast charge. This is higher than OnePlus&#8217; Dash Charge (5V/4A) and we expect it to be safe as well. Is this a toned down version of the Super mCharge unveiled at MWC 2017? Most likely.</p>
<p>The Pro7 Plus will also arrive with Flyme 6 OS on board.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #ff0000;">READ MORE: </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2017/03/21/meizus-super-mcharge-delivers-presence-reporter-18-minutes-full-charge/">Meizu’s Super mCharge Delivers in Presence of a Reporter – 18 Minutes to Full Charge!</a></p>
<p>The spec release changes everything we have previously heard about the pricing details. With three models in total, it will be interesting to see how Meizu handles the pricing.</p>

The company has once again demonstrated the capabilities of its Super mCharge fast charging technology. This time around, the mCharge was demonstrated at Meizu&#8217;s headquarters in the presence of a visiting Taiwanese reporter.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/meizu-mcharge/"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-123115" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/meizu-mcharge.jpg?x10805" alt="" width="483" height="259" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/meizu-mcharge.jpg 483w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/meizu-mcharge-300x161.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 483px) 100vw, 483px" /></a></p>
<p>From the reporter&#8217;s perspective, he was able to record only 18 minutes and 12 seconds as the time it took a phone to go from 0 to 100%. The reporter also noted there was no heat despite the super quick charge delivered is a short burst. Meizu&#8217;s Research and Development official also hinted that the Super mCharge has a charging conversion efficiency of 98% which he said is close to the theoretical limit of 100%. This means very little energy is lost to heat and other factors during the charging process.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/meizu-mcharge-2-2/"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-123116" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/meizu-mcharge-2.jpg?x10805" alt="" width="500" height="256" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/meizu-mcharge-2.jpg 500w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/meizu-mcharge-2-300x154.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px" /></a></p>

<p>It is still not clear, though, when this new technology would get infused inside Meizu&#8217;s smartphones.  Apparently, Meizu is still conducting a lot of battery cycle experiments to ensure it would work safely in smartphones before the technology finally gets inside its smartphones.</p>

The announcement was accompanied by a teaser image.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify">The image is of a lightning bolt and has the text “faster than ever” below it. Its evident from the image that what Meizu plans to announce is related to charging. But we got a little info from an industry source to confirm.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-119657 size-large" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Meizu-MWC-2017-1024x1024.jpg?x10805" alt="Meizu mCharge 4.0" width="640" height="640" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Meizu-MWC-2017-1024x1024.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Meizu-MWC-2017-150x150.jpg 150w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Meizu-MWC-2017-300x300.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Meizu-MWC-2017-768x768.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Meizu-MWC-2017.jpg 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px" /></p>
<p style="text-align: justify">According to the source, Meizu is planning to announce mCharge 4.0. mCharge is Meizu&#8217;s trademark name for its fast charging technology and it will be unveiling the 4th generation of the technology. mCharge 4.0 is said to use 9V4A, offering up to 36W of power.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify">Comparing that to <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2016/11/17/qualcomm-snapdragon-835-soc-announced-10nm-finfet-process-quick-charge-4-0/">Qualcomm&#8217;s Quick Charge 4.0</a>, Meizu&#8217;s mCharge supplies more power. Quick Charge 4.0 on the other hand still uses 9V2A (18W) but is 20% more efficient than QC 3.0 due to its use of Dual Charge technology. It is also better as the charging temperature is lower by 5°c and has support for USB Power Delivery.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify">For those who will be attending the event, you can find Meizu&#8217;s booth in Hall 7 Stand 7K5. It is said to have an area of 56 square meters and significantly larger than that of other exhibitors. It seems Meizu sure has a lot to display11.</p>
