There are three models covering different price ranges, for example, the Meizu 15 Plus is the ultimate flagship model featuring Exynos 8895, the Meizu 15 is a slightly less powerful version with SD660 but still capable flagship, and the Meizu 15 Lite is the most affordable of the lot with decent mid-range specs.

Meizu will announce the three devices at 7.30PM Beijing time, in the beautiful city of Wuzen, often referred to as the Venice of China. We will be present at the event, so expect hands on with all the three models later today.

However, just before the official launch of the devices, the top-end Meizu 15 Plus has been leaked in all its glory on Weibo. Clear images of the most powerful handset in the series have been shared on the internet, leaving very little to our imagination. With the addition of this leak and the previous spec sheet leak, we now know everything about the top flagship model, except for its launch price.

The leaked images reveal that the Meizu 15 Plus will have very small bezels on the sides. Even the top and bottom bezels are quite thin, thereby contributing for a beautiful front design. The front also features a home button, but its round like the iPhone’s Touch ID. Expect this button to feature pressure sensitive smart gestures like the halo button found on the Meizu M6S.

RELATED: Meizu 15, Meizu 15 Plus, Meizu 15 Lite Full Specifications Leaked Through Internal Document

To be honest, this front design reminds me of the Meizu MX2 model that was released back in 2012. I loved the MX2 back then and I’m starting to like this design too. Its simple yet beautiful.

Coming to the back, the phone features a dual camera setup with ring flash below it. I can’t personally figure out the material used on the back, but it could be glass given its glossy texture. Check out the rest of the leaked Meizu 15 Plus images below.

According to the earlier specs sheet leak, the Meizu 15 Plus will feature a 5.95-inch OLED display that supports QHD resolution. The Exynos 8895 SoC should be inside the flagship with 6 GB of RAM and 64GB / 128GB ROM. For photography, the phone is said to come with f/1. 8 aperture 12-megapixel + 20-megapixel dual camera setup. The main sensor will have a pixel size of 1.5µm. The 3500mAh battery will support mCharge 12V/2A fast charging. It will come with Flyme 7 on board.

We are just a few hours away from the official launch of the Meizu 15 trio. As mentioned earlier, we will be present at the event, so expect hands on with the new models very soon.

While the phone has been leaked a few times in the past with different designs, we now have the leaked renders of the Meizu 15 Plus.

The China-based manufacturer will be launching the Meizu 15 Plus as well as the Meizu 15 to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the company. The devices are expected to be available for purchase from March 2018.

The leaked images of the phone reveal that it will come with ultra-narrow bezels on the left and right size as well as at the bottom. The top bezel is, however, a little bit thicker compared to other sides. but it’s still considerably thinner than what we usually see. This suggests that unlike the Mi MIX, the front-facing camera will be on the top bezel, along with other sensors.

The design of the phone’s back panel has also been leaked, which reveals that it will come with a dual-camera setup, with lenses stacked vertically. Below that, there’s a ring-type design which could be flash and laser focus module or a fingerprint sensor.

The leak also mentions that the Meizu 15 Plus could be powered by Qualcomm‘s Snapdragon 845 processor or Samsung’s Exynos 8895. It further suggests that the device could get launched for a price tag of 3,599 Yuan (approximately $562) or more.

Previously, it was reported that the phone will be offered in two variants based on the memory configuration — one with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage while the other will pack 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.

The company’s founder Jack Wong had previously confirmed that the Meizu 15 Plus will be officially introduced next spring around China’s Spring Festival, which will take place in February. The phone is expected to be available from March this year.

According to the reports, Meizu is going to launch six new smartphones in the first half of 2018. While five of those phones are expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processor, one phone will pack Samsung’s Exynos processor. With Meizu M6S already launched with Exynos chipset, there’s a high possibility that Meizu M15 Plus will be powered by Snapdragon 845 chipset.

While the phone has been subject to many leaks, the phone’s design was not clearly visible in any of the previously leaked images.

But, the newly leaked images shows the design of a Meizu smartphone, which is believed to be the upcoming Meizu 15 Plus. However, there is a possibility that it might be a different model. The leaked images reveals the phone’s design — showing front side as well as the back side.

The previously leaked image hinted at Mi Mix 2 type bezel-less smartphone, but the newly leaked images shows that the design is not as existing as we had hoped. The company has kept the mBack button in its usual position. At the back, there is a dual camera setup with a little round module just below it which could be for the LED flash.

The phone seems to come with a metal unibody design and the display sports a 3D curved glass on top covering all the four edges surrounding the screen — similar to the Samsung’s Galaxy S8. From the look of it, the display appears to be sporting the standard 16:9 aspect ratio rather than the trending 18:9 aspect ratio.

Previous report suggests that Meizu is ditching MediaTek processors this time, and the Meizu 15 Plus will be powered by Samsung‘s Exynos processor. The phone will be offered in two variants based on the memory configuration — one with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage while the other will pack 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.

Recently, the smartphone’s pricing information was also leaked online, revealing that the base model will carry a price tag of 2,999 yuan (approx. $453) while the top-end model will cost around 3,499 yuan (approx. $528).

Though the company has not launched many devices this year, looking at the sale of its previously launched devices, there is nothing much to talk about.

However, it seems that all that is about to change. According to the reports, the company is gearing up to launch six new smartphones in the first half of 2018.

Also, there are reports which suggests that the China-based smartphone manufacturer is also ditching MediaTek and five of those upcoming six phones from the company will pack Qualcomm‘s Snapdragon processor while one will come with Samsung‘s Exynos processor.

Meizu will be completing 15 years of existence next year and to celebrate its anniversary, the company is said to release a special edition phone. The smartphone, which is named Meizu 15 Plus, is scheduled for Spring launch.

Recently, the phone’s image leaked online, giving us the first look at the upcoming smartphone, as well as revealing the device’s pricing information.

The leaked image reveals that the phone will feature a full-screen display with tri-bezel-less design, similar to that of Xiaomi Mi MIX 2. Apart from the display, the front panel also embeds a camera sensor on the lower bezel.

While most bezel-less designed smartphones features fingerprint scanner at the back of the device, mainly due to spacing issues, Meizu has decided to keep the fingerprint sensor in its usual position — on the front panel, at the centre of the bottom bezel.

The Meizu 15 Plus will come with dual rear cameras positioned vertically in the middle. Below the camera sensors, there is a flash and laser focus module in a ring design, similar to that of Meizu PRO 6. There is also the Meizu branding below the camera setup and an antenna line at the bottom.

The smartphone is expected to come powered by Samsung’s Exynos 9810 processor. However, no more information related to the phone’s specifications is available at this moment.

Read More: Meizu Registers New Domain, mBlu.com At Chinese Ministry of Industry & Information

The leaked image reveals two pricing for the phone, which indicates that there will be be variants of the device based on memory configuration. The top-end variant, which will be more expensive, will be priced at 3,499 Yuan (approximately $528) while the base models is expected to be available for 2,999 Yuan (approximately $453).

The only info we had until today of the phone, called the Meizu 15 Plus, is its release which is scheduled for Spring, and an image of its retail box. However, an image surfaced online today, giving us our first look at the upcoming flagship phone as well as revealing the price.

According to what’s in the image above, the Meizu 15 Plus will have a full-screen display with a tri-bezel-less design similar to that of the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2. The top bezel is super thin and doesn’t look like it houses the earpiece, but we can’t confirm it doesn’t have one until a clearer image surfaces.

The front camera and sensors are now housed on the lower bezel but they are not the only ones there. Rather than push the fingerprint scanner to the back like other manufacturers, Meizu has kept the mBack button in its usual position.

The back of the phone shows that the Meizu 15 Plus will come with dual rear cameras positioned vertically in the middle. Below the sensors is a flash and laser focus module in a ring design like that of the Meizu PRO 6. There is also the Meizu branding a few mm from the camera setup and an antenna line at the bottom.

The image also reveals the price of the phone. There are two prices which means there will be two variants that will most likely differ with respect to storage and probably RAM too.

The more expensive variant will cost ¥3499 (~$528) and the less expensive variant is said to be ¥2999 (~$453), which makes sense even though we can’t see the first figure.

There are still a bunch of important details we do not know such as the screen size, the processor type, and the camera configuration. Over the course of the next few weeks, we believe more info will be released.

What do you think of the design of the Meizu 15 Plus, hit or miss?
