Recall that we had reported a few months back that <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/meizu" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Meizu</a> had <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2017/05/09/meizu-effects-organisational-restructuring-now-three-different-divisions/">officially announced the splitting of the company into three new divisions</a> where they now have the Meizu brand, Blue Charm and the Flyme divisions. The new reorganisation also sees the reshuffling of the various portfolio with some execs moving upward. Meizu President, Huang Zhang, also known as Jack Wong, remains as Chairman and CEO of the company, overseeing the entire operations of the company. Mr Wang will also directly oversee the high-end Meizu products and the result of that is the awesome <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2017/06/26/meizu-pro-7-pro-7-plus-specs-prices-launch-next-month/">Pro 7 </a>design we have seen in leaks.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/meizu-1.jpg?x96852"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-138959" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/meizu-1.jpg?x96852" alt="meizu blue charm logo" width="690" height="518" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/meizu-1.jpg 690w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/meizu-1-300x225.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/meizu-1-160x120.jpg 160w" sizes="(max-width: 690px) 100vw, 690px" /></a></p>
<p>The latest development is that another logo said to be for the Blue Charm division has leaked with an entirely different design. The new Meizu Blue Charm logo is even shown embossed on the rear body of the Meizu E2 but that may be fake. Quite honestly, the newly leaked logo looks nicer than the first one which looked like a spiral or wavy line that isn&#8217;t really creative. But the question which pops up is which of them is the genuine logo?<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/meizu-blue-charm.png?x96852"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-138956" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/meizu-blue-charm.png?x96852" alt="meizu blue charm logo" width="589" height="331" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/meizu-blue-charm.png 589w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/meizu-blue-charm-300x169.png 300w" sizes="(max-width: 589px) 100vw, 589px" /></a><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/meizu-1.png?x96852"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-138978" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/meizu-1.png?x96852" alt="" width="582" height="233" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/meizu-1.png 582w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/meizu-1-300x120.png 300w" sizes="(max-width: 582px) 100vw, 582px" /></a></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Well, someone who&#8217;s a well-known tech blogger in China known as Deng Deng went on to comment that both of the purported Blue Charm logos are not genuine. He may just be correct because it doesn&#8217;t make sense to split the brand identity so obviously. Fine, for ease of management the company is already three different divisions but the brand is best left as one Meizu with a single logo. Well, we really can&#8217;t predict what the new business model the media-shy Jack Wong brought back to try and grow the company. Nothing has been clearly disclosed. Curiously, even Li Nan who is the new head of the Blue Charm division and had been quite vocal on Weibo in the past has been unusually silent these days. Just bear in mind, though, that the two Blue Charm logos being bandied around might be fake.</p>

The company was established in 2003 and expanded to the smartphone business in 2008 then to a global presence today. MEIZU devices are developed based on a philosophy to make products light in weight but having an elegant user experience with wide screen coupled with easy to use user interface and premium sound quality. Their philosophy was evident from the recent releases in the market.</p>

<p>Rumor has been going around that this <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/2015/08/30/meizu-will-upgrade-its-logo-heres-our-first-look/">company was planning to change its logo</a>. And now this has been confirmed and Meizu has unveiled its new logo that will be placed on the new line of devices to be released in the near future. The new logo is designed to read MEIZU in English in light blue color with a unique simple stoke font containing smooth curves around the letters E, Z and U. So, the new logo will be much more linear than the one before, which decreased in thickness as it moved towards the end.</p>
<p>You can check out the video below posted by Huang Zhang for more information.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>It looks like the company will debut the new logo today, at the event where it will also unveil the brand new Meizu Pro 5 flagship. The phone is expected to be high-end with great features, so make sure you check back on the website soon for more details.</p>

But slowly, the company is expanding its product lineup as well as markets. The<a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/2015/05/14/meizu-officially-entering-the-indian-market-on-may-18/"> company recently entered India </a>as well as a couple of other Asian markets. This must have definitely helped the company increase its overall sales.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/wpid-wp-1441089367582.jpeg?x96852"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-57814" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/wpid-wp-1441089367582.jpeg?x96852" alt="wpid-wp-1441089367582.jpeg" width="600" height="954" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/wpid-wp-1441089367582.jpeg 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/wpid-wp-1441089367582-189x300.jpeg 189w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/wpid-wp-1441089367582-264x420.jpeg 264w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></a></p>
<p>Earlier today, Meizu reported that for the first time the company&#8217;s monthly sales exceeded 2.89 million units. This is a new record for the company it was only last year the company managed to break the 1 million monthly sales mark. So, to increase its sales nearly three fold in just a matter of 8 months is really impressive. Of course, this is no way near to what Xiaomi sells in a month, but it still shows that Meizu is expanding its affairs aggressively.</p>
<p>According to reports, Meizu managed to sell about 8.9 million units in the first half of 2015. At the current rate, the company could very well sell about twice the amount of smartphones sold in the first half. However, Meizu has already released most its smartphones for the year, like the Meizu M2 Note and the Meizu M2, so it would be interesting to see what will drive its sales in final quarter of the year.</p>
<p>One particular smartphone that interests us is the rumored super high-end model, <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/2015/08/18/meizu-flagship-specs-leaked-in-detail-rumored-to-feature-exynos-7422-6-inch-2k-display/">which will reportedly feature Samsung Exynos 7422 chip</a>. But the pricing is said to be above 3000 Yuan, as a result, we are not quite sure if this particular model will be able to drive sales even if its released before the end of the year.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/new-meizu-logo.png?x96852"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-57763" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/new-meizu-logo.png?x96852" alt="new meizu logo" width="550" height="411" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/new-meizu-logo.png 550w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/new-meizu-logo-300x224.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/new-meizu-logo-80x60.png 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/new-meizu-logo-100x75.png 100w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/new-meizu-logo-180x135.png 180w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/new-meizu-logo-238x178.png 238w" sizes="(max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px" /></a></p>
<p>Anyways, it looks like Meizu is going to <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/2015/08/30/meizu-will-upgrade-its-logo-heres-our-first-look/">rebrand itself with a new logo in the coming weeks</a>. A recent leaked presentation revealed the logo as well as details about the above mentioned device. So, lets wait and watch how the company performs by the end of the year with these changes.</p>

According to a leaked PPT presentation, the company is considering a new logo to replace its current one. The PPT was from the company&#8217;s visual marketing department and mainly concerned with Meizu&#8217;s rebranding with the help of a new logo.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/Meizu-logo-new.png?x96852"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-57764" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/Meizu-logo-new.png?x96852" alt="Meizu logo new" width="550" height="412" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/Meizu-logo-new.png 550w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/Meizu-logo-new-300x225.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/Meizu-logo-new-80x60.png 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/Meizu-logo-new-100x75.png 100w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/Meizu-logo-new-180x135.png 180w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/Meizu-logo-new-238x178.png 238w" sizes="(max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px" /></a></p>
<p>Thank to the presentation, we have our first look at the new Meizu logo. The upgraded logo looks a lot more refined and in tune with new age technology companies. The strokes are even and the letters have a uniform height and thickness unlike the previous one. In my personal opinion, this looks much better than the one used by Meizu at present.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/new-meizu-logo.png?x96852"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-57763" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/new-meizu-logo.png?x96852" alt="new meizu logo" width="550" height="411" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/new-meizu-logo.png 550w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/new-meizu-logo-300x224.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/new-meizu-logo-80x60.png 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/new-meizu-logo-100x75.png 100w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/new-meizu-logo-180x135.png 180w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/new-meizu-logo-238x178.png 238w" sizes="(max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px" /></a></p>
<p>Although we are now kind of sure that Meizu will upgrade its logo soon, this may not necessarily be the final design. This was just a ppt presentation shown to the company executives and the final logo will depend on the decision made by the company. So, the new logo may be different when the company announces it later.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/meizu-sub-brands.png?x96852"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-57762" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/meizu-sub-brands.png?x96852" alt="meizu sub brands" width="550" height="427" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/meizu-sub-brands.png 550w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/meizu-sub-brands-300x233.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/meizu-sub-brands-541x420.png 541w" sizes="(max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px" /></a></p>
<p>In the same ppt presentation, there was a mention of a new high-end brand. But that&#8217;s not really surprising since the <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/2015/08/18/meizu-flagship-specs-leaked-in-detail-rumored-to-feature-exynos-7422-6-inch-2k-display/">company executive had already confirmed this</a>. Unfortunately, even in the ppt, the name was not specified. So, we will have to wait for a bit longer to get more details.</p>
<p>So, what do you think about the new Logo? Looks good?</p>
