You have a 18:9 display, a good mid-range chipset, fingerprint ID and a decent battery, making it a well balanced smartphone. Here&#8217;s everything that you need to know about the Meizu M6S.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h2><strong>DESIGN:</strong></h2>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/mblu-s6.png?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-167692" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/mblu-s6.png?x10805" alt="mblu s6" width="400" height="400" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/mblu-s6.png 400w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/mblu-s6-150x150.png 150w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/mblu-s6-300x300.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/mblu-s6-270x270.png 270w" sizes="(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px" /></a></p>
<p>The Meizu M6S (mBlu S6) comes with an 18:9 display on a full metal body. The phone features the same U shaped nano injection antenna design that we have seen on flagship grade smartphones. What&#8217;s interesting is that unlike the leaks and renders that revealed mBlu branding at the back, the Meizu M6S will continue to use Meizu&#8217;s branding. Like previous smartphones from the company, this one too features a Meizu logo at the back.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/m6s.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-167704" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/m6s.jpg?x10805" alt="m6s body" width="1200" height="511" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/m6s.jpg 1200w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/m6s-300x128.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/m6s-768x327.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/m6s-1024x436.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/m6s-1175x500.jpg 1175w" sizes="(max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px" /></a></p>
<p>Rest of the design is pretty simple, with a simple long full screen front, and a simple all metal back. There will be four color options: Gold, Gray, Black, and Blue.</p>
<p>There are a lot of fun cases as well that Meizu will sell alongside the phone to give it a funky look for the young generation.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/meizu-m6s-cases.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-167695" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/meizu-m6s-cases.jpg?x10805" alt="meizu m6s cases" width="641" height="1645" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/meizu-m6s-cases.jpg 798w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/meizu-m6s-cases-117x300.jpg 117w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/meizu-m6s-cases-768x1971.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/meizu-m6s-cases-399x1024.jpg 399w" sizes="(max-width: 641px) 100vw, 641px" /></a></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h2><strong>SPECS:</strong></h2>

<p>The phone will be the first to feature Samsung&#8217;s Exynos 7872 processor built on 14nm process with two Cortex A73 performance cores and four Cortex A53 efficient cores. Note that the chip supports all the three carries in China (full Netcom). There will be 3GB of RAM and 32GB / 64GB of storage options. The battery will be of 3000mAh with 18W fast charging that charges up to 52% in just 30 minutes.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/Exynos-7872-architecture.png?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-167697" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/Exynos-7872-architecture.png?x10805" alt="" width="394" height="1011" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/Exynos-7872-architecture.png 1000w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/Exynos-7872-architecture-117x300.png 117w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/Exynos-7872-architecture-768x1971.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/Exynos-7872-architecture-399x1024.png 399w" sizes="(max-width: 394px) 100vw, 394px" /></a></p>
<p>As for the camera, the Meizu M6S will feature a Samsung 16MP CMOS sensor at the back with f/2.0 aperture, 112μm pixel area, PDAF, 5P lens, and a special HDR that&#8217;s developed by ArcSoft for the M6S. On the front, the phone features an 8MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture, ArcSoft algorithms, Intelligent facial brightness enhancement, and an adaptive beauty mode.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/side-fingerprint-m6s.png?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-167696" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/side-fingerprint-m6s.png?x10805" alt="" width="864" height="373" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/side-fingerprint-m6s.png 864w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/side-fingerprint-m6s-300x130.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/side-fingerprint-m6s-768x332.png 768w" sizes="(max-width: 864px) 100vw, 864px" /></a></p>
<p>The phone has a side mounted fingerprint sensor, that the company says will feel natural in day to day operations. It&#8217;s pretty quick and unlocks in just 0.2 seconds.</p>
<p>As for the software, the Meizu M6S will come with Flyme 6.2 version with the company&#8217;s OneMind AI engine. No mention of the Android version yet. There&#8217;s a special game mode as well, which the company claims increases frame rate stability by 20% during gameplay.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/super-mback-gestures.png?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-167700" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/super-mback-gestures.png?x10805" alt="super mback gestures" width="460" height="980" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/super-mback-gestures.png 1000w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/super-mback-gestures-141x300.png 141w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/super-mback-gestures-768x1636.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/super-mback-gestures-481x1024.png 481w" sizes="(max-width: 460px) 100vw, 460px" /></a></p>
<p>What&#8217;s the most interesting part of the Meizu M6S is the Super mBack feature. Since the company had to remove the mBack button, the Super mBack is here to take care of navigation. The phone features a dedicated pressure sensor chip and linear vibration motor (in the circle), allowing you to control your phone with simple gestures. So, a simple tap on the circle will take you back, press it and you&#8217;ll be taken to the home screen, swipe it and it opens up multi-tasking window. There are several other gestures as well, making navigation super easy. If it works as well as it sounds, then it will be one of the highlights of the M6S.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>

The company has already released two teasers and the first could be of interest as it seems to point at the presence of an on-screen fingerprint sensor. Recall that <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/01/11/meizu-mblu-s6-video-leaks-showcasing-screen-buttons-possibly-new-unlock-pattern/">a leaked video of the Meizu M6S in action</a> had suggested that there may be a new unlock method which seems to be on the screen. This is despite the sighting of a side-mounted fingerprint sensor on the device.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/meizu-m6s-1.png?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-166925" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/meizu-m6s-1.png?x10805" alt="Meizu mBlu S6" width="720" height="539" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/meizu-m6s-1.png 720w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/meizu-m6s-1-300x225.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/meizu-m6s-1-160x120.png 160w" sizes="(max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px" /></a></p>
<p>It is very much unlikely that the Meizu M6S would feature two types of fingerprint sensors, one on the screen and another at the side. There could be another explanation for the teaser. The teaser noted a change in the fingerprint sensor due to the device having a full-screen design. Since the smartphone is a full-screen one, the trademark Meizu mBack home button which doubles as a fingerprint sensor is absent. The picture shows a fingerprint icon on the screen of the device and that is what sends the impression that there could be an on-screen fingerprint sensor. However, the way the hand grips the smartphone may also be indicative of the side-mounted fingerprint sensor while the fingerprint icon on the screen may just be there to give a clue that the teaser is referring to the fingerprint sensor. We already know <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/01/10/details-vivos-display-fingerprint-sensor-works-pretty-well/">Vivo is the first to use the in-display fingerprint technology</a> from Synaptics on its smartphone but there hasn&#8217;t been any word on Meizu using a similar technology.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Meizu-M6S-front-and-side.png?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-159428" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Meizu-M6S-front-and-side.png?x10805" alt="Meizu M6S front and side" width="552" height="419" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Meizu-M6S-front-and-side.png 552w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Meizu-M6S-front-and-side-300x228.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Meizu-M6S-front-and-side-160x120.png 160w" sizes="(max-width: 552px) 100vw, 552px" /></a></p>

<p>As a reminder, Meizu M6S or mBlu S6 is expected to feature an expansive 5.7-inch 18:9 display with an HD= resolution of 1440 x 720p. The back features the U-shaped antenna band design while at the rear is the mBlu logo, which confirms that the S6 will be the first mBlu branded smartphone to be released by the company. The volume rocker buttons are located on the left side of the device while at the right side, you’ll find a power button and side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The M6S will be fired up by an Hexa-core Exynos 7872 (4 x A53 + 2 x A73) chip which is also one of the teasers released by Meizu on its Blue Charm account. The graphic is powered by a Mali-G71 GPU while the processor is paired with a 3GB RAM and there is 32GB of storage. In addition, there is a 3000mAh battery with 9V / 2A 18W fast charging support. We will now see the much-anticipated Meizu M6s on January 17, 2018. Apart from revealing the launch date, Meizu has also started sending out invitations to the launch event.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/Meizu-M6s-4.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-165000" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/Meizu-M6s-4.jpg?x10805" alt="Meizu M6s" width="600" height="399" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/Meizu-M6s-4.jpg 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/Meizu-M6s-4-300x200.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></a></p>
<p>Meizu is known for sending out uniquely packaged invitations and this is no different. The Meizu M6s launch invitation contains a large blue brick with the words in Chinese translated as &#8220;Young good&#8221; embossed unto one of the surfaces. We can&#8217;t say what that means, anyway. The brick is similar to a real brick and is event also weighty as one.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/Meizu-M6s-5.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-165001" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/Meizu-M6s-5.jpg?x10805" alt="Meizu M6s" width="600" height="399" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/Meizu-M6s-5.jpg 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/Meizu-M6s-5-300x200.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center"><strong><span style="color: #ff0000">Read More:</span> <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/01/04/meizu-confirms-january-17-launch-date-meizu-m6s/">Meizu Confirms January 17 Launch Date for Meizu M6S</a></strong></p>
<p>It is as good as confirmed that the device that would be launched on that day is a full-screen Meizu M6s with the 18:9 aspect ratio. The device will not feature the mBack button as it utilises a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Further, the M6s is said to feature a 5.7-inch display and would be powered by a Samsung Exynos 7872 processor among other features. This is looking like a great device to look forward to.</p>
