In the Chinese market, we have already seen two great 6-inch+ smartphones, the <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/2016/06/07/nubia-z11-max-vs-xiaomi-mi-max-one-choose/">Nubia Z11 Max and the Xiaomi Mi Max</a>. Now, Meizu is here to join the party with its brand new Meizu M3 Max phablet.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/meizu-m3-max-02.jpeg?x23692"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-96689" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/meizu-m3-max-02.jpeg?x23692" alt="meizu m3 max 02" width="1500" height="638" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/meizu-m3-max-02.jpeg 1500w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/meizu-m3-max-02-300x128.jpeg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/meizu-m3-max-02-768x327.jpeg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/meizu-m3-max-02-1024x436.jpeg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/meizu-m3-max-02-1175x500.jpeg 1175w" sizes="(max-width: 1500px) 100vw, 1500px" /></a></p>
<p>The Meizu M3 Max comes with a familiar Meizu design, which includes an all metal body with dual CNC processing. The design looks pretty decent (similar to the<a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/2016/08/10/meizu-m3e-official-helio-p10-13mp-sony-imx258-sensor-3100mah-battery/"> Meizu M3E</a>) and the availability of four color option is definitely an added plus. You have the option to choose between Champagne Gold, Gray, Silver and Rose Gold colors. It&#8217;s pretty thin as well, measuring just 7.9mm in thickness (<strong>Full measurements:</strong> 163.4 x 81.6 x 7.94mm), however, the Mi Max is thinner with a 7.5mm body. All the ports seem to be located at the bottom of the device, including the USB Type-C port, 3.5mm headphone jack and speakers. Like always, the fingerprint sensor-enabled mBack button is located up front, below the display.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/meizu-m3-max-colors.jpg?x23692"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-96688" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/meizu-m3-max-colors.jpg?x23692" alt="meizu m3 max colors" width="2047" height="871" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/meizu-m3-max-colors.jpg 2047w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/meizu-m3-max-colors-300x128.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/meizu-m3-max-colors-768x327.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/meizu-m3-max-colors-1024x436.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/meizu-m3-max-colors-1175x500.jpg 1175w" sizes="(max-width: 2047px) 100vw, 2047px" /></a></p>
<p>Inside, the M3 Max comes with the Helio P10 octa-core chipset clocked at 1.8GHz. The display is a 6-inch IPS LCD panel with 1080p resolution. Unfortunately, no 2K resolution version available. As for the memory, there will be 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. You can further expand this up to 128GB via MicroSD.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/meizu-m3-max-01.jpeg?x23692"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-96690" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/meizu-m3-max-01.jpeg?x23692" alt="meizu m3 max 01" width="800" height="340" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/meizu-m3-max-01.jpeg 800w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/meizu-m3-max-01-300x128.jpeg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/meizu-m3-max-01-768x326.jpeg 768w" sizes="(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></a></p>
<p>At the back, the Meizu M3 Max comes with a 13MP Sony IMX258 camera sensor with f/2.2 aperture, PDAF and dual LED flash. Up front, there is a 5MP shooter.</p>
<p>Inside, the Meizu M3 Max comes with a 4100mAh battery with 24W mCharge fast charging technology. This reportedly charges the phone up to 45% in half an hour. That&#8217;s pretty good considering the size of the battery on board. Other features of the device are pretty standard like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, VoLTE, infrared etc. Fingerprint payment is also supported (Alipay and WeChat).</p>
<p>This new phablet from Meizu is priced at 1699 Yuan ($255) and at present, there seems to be just one version (3GB + 64GB). The phone will go on sale from September 15 and the reservations for the sale start today.</p>

Given that we have already seen two new handsets in the Blue Charm range back in April, this could be the metal variant of the Meizu M3 Note. The company had released the <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/2015/10/21/meizu-metal-brings-all-metal-body-fingerprint-id-under-180/">Meizu Metal smartphone last year</a> and on June 13, we could possibly see the successor to the device.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-84739" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/meizu-june-13-conference.jpg?x23692" alt="meizu june 13 event blue charm" width="610" height="763" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/meizu-june-13-conference.jpg 610w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/meizu-june-13-conference-240x300.jpg 240w" sizes="(max-width: 610px) 100vw, 610px" /></p>
<p>Another good reason why it is possibly the Meizu M3 Metal is because, the <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/2016/05/03/three-new-meizu-models-spotted-tenaa-meizu-metal-2-mx6/">phone has already passed TENAA certification</a> and hence, it is only a matter of time till it&#8217;s released officially. We could also expect to see some new network variants of the M3 and maybe an Android version of the budget Meizu M3 instead of YunOS. But Meizu M3 Metal should be the star of the conference.</p>

<a href='https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/meizu-m3-metal-01.jpg?x23692'><img width="225" height="300" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/meizu-m3-metal-01-225x300.jpg?x23692" class="attachment-medium size-medium" alt="" loading="lazy" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/meizu-m3-metal-01-225x300.jpg 225w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/meizu-m3-metal-01.jpg 480w" sizes="(max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px" /></a>
<a href='https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/meizu-m3-metal-02.jpg?x23692'><img width="225" height="300" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/meizu-m3-metal-02-225x300.jpg?x23692" class="attachment-medium size-medium" alt="" loading="lazy" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/meizu-m3-metal-02-225x300.jpg 225w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/meizu-m3-metal-02.jpg 480w" sizes="(max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px" /></a>

<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>According to the TENAA certification, the Meizu M3 Metal will come with a 5.5-inch 1080p display with 2GB + 16GB and 3GB + 32GB memory variants. The storage is expandable up to 128GB via MicroSD. Inside, the phone comes with an octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz which should be the Helio P10. At the back, you get a 13MP camera while up front, there is a 5MP shooter. Other features include Android 5.1 OS and 4000mAh battery. Like the name suggests, this will be a metal bodied smartphone.</p>
<p>Expect more details in the coming days.</p>

However, there&#8217;s still time for the phone&#8217;s launch, as first we will meet with the budget mid-ranger, Meizu M3 Note. Like the company <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/2016/03/22/meizu-m3-note-coming-soon-big-battery-slim-body/">CEO revealed yesterday</a>, Meizu via its official weibo account has released a new teaser for the upcoming Meizu M3 Note smartphone.</p>

<p>The company has confirmed via the teaser that the Meizu M3 Note will be announced at the Beijing National Convention Center on April 6. In case you remember, this is the<a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/2016/03/08/huawei-sends-invitations-april-6th-event-unveiling-huawei-p9-expected/"> same date when the Huawei P9 flagship smartphone will be announced</a>. So, it looks like April 6 is going to be an important date for Chinese tech fans, since we could potentially meet two (or even more) great devices.</p>
<p>According to the teaser, the upcoming Meizu M3 Note will be one of the best-looking smartphones from the company. A few hours back, we saw the entire leaked product pipeline of the company and the M3 was in the list. The leak revealed that the phone will use a polycarbonate body, which is something that Meizu&#8217;s Blue Charm series has always used. So, unlike other manufacturers who are opting for a metal body to give their phones a premium feel, Meizu could stick with polycarbonate.</p>
<p>Moreover, the leak revealed that the M3 Note will come with a 5.5-inch 1080p display along with the Mediatek Helio P10 octa-core processor under the hood with 2GB of RAM. There will be two storage variants, namely 16GB costing 799 Yuan ($125), and 32GB costing 999 Yuan ($150). The battery is said to be of 3200mAh.</p>
<p>The company&#8217;s teasers say that the phone will be fast, long lasting and beautiful. Given that the event is confirmed and the teasers have started to come out, we can expect a lot more details in the coming days.</p>
