Xiaomi‘s latest crowdfunding product is the Mensarjor Sink Washing Machine. A cool kitchen arrangement is every housewife’s dream and Xiaomi’s ecological chain products have often included products that bring ease and adds class to the home kitchen setup. The new sink washing machine is one of such products.

The Mensarjor Sink Washing Machine is a washer for your vegetables and other food items that need to be washed before cooking. It uses ultrasonic technology to remove residues such as specks of dirt and even pesticides from the food items. After the washing is done, it drains the water automatically. The washing area has a large 10L capacity sitting by the side of the sink. The container can take 50 prawns, 20 potatoes, 10 crabs and 15 apples respectively at once. The device comes bundled with the faucet but can be purchased as a standalone gadget.

As for the functionality, it uses 6 built-in vibrators and an innovative matrix arrangement technology to form high-frequency vibrations, which generate a large number of tiny bubbles. The negative pressure is formed by the magnification of the bubbles. Specks of dirt and impurities on the surface of the fruit ad other items are removed by physical means to achieve clean fruits and vegetables as well as deep cleansing of seafood and other ingredients.  This method protects fragile items such as Bayberry, Cauliflower and keeps the outwall of items intact.

There are three washing modes available, with different intensities and water levels. There is a single control button at the side. The gadget can also be controlled via the MIJIA app on a smartphone.

During the crowdfunding exercise, the device is priced at 1999 yuan for the standalone but if you are buying with the faucet set, it comes in at 2498 yuan ($356), including installation fee of 100 yuan. The faucet is made of 304 stainless steel and adopts a retractable design which makes it easy to use. It also comes with a bubbler and spray-gun water discharge modes. The soft water spray (bubbler) is suitable for daily cleaning, and the strong water spray is suitable for bottle and sewer cleaning.

The product is expected to start shipping in China on September 14.
