<p><span style="font-weight: 400">The Xiaomi Mi 10S is a new smartphone that got </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/03/10/xiaomi-mi-10s-with-90hz-display-snapdragon-870-and-108mp-triple-cameras-launched-for-506/"><span style="font-weight: 400">released in March 2021</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400">. The device debuted with MIUI 12 based on Android 11. It is exclusively sold in China, just like the </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-mi-11-pro/"><span style="font-weight: 400">Mi 11 Pro</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> and the </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-mi-mix-fold/"><span style="font-weight: 400">Mi MIX Fold</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400">.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">That said, </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/MIUI-12-5/"><span style="font-weight: 400">MIUI 12.5</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> is sort of the first major update for this handset. This new system update </span><a href="https://t.me/MIUIUpdatesTracker/13553"><span style="font-weight: 400">arrives</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> with build number </span><b>V12.5.1.0.RGACNXM</b><span style="font-weight: 400">. This particular software build is currently in the ‘Stable Beta’ phase. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">This means the update is being rolled out in batches and therefore, it is only available for a select few users. Anyway, it should reach all the units in the coming days.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">On the other hand, the Redmi K30i 5G is </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/05/25/redmi-k30i-5g-debuts-with-48mp-quad-cameras-120hz-display-and-snapdragon-765g/"><span style="font-weight: 400">almost a year old now</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400">. This phone released with Android 10-based MIUI 11. It was updated to MIUI 12 and even got the Android 11 update early this year.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Now, Xiaomi is </span><a href="https://t.me/MIUIUpdatesTracker/13558"><span style="font-weight: 400">seeding</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> MIUI 12.5 update for this handset with build number </span><b>V12.5.2.0.RGICMXM</b><span style="font-weight: 400">. However, the update is marked as ‘Stable Beta’, which means it is being rolled out in batches and may take some time to reach all units.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Lastly, just like the Mi 10S, the Redmi K30i 5G is a China-exclusive smartphone. Hence, there’s no other regional software build for this phone.</span></p>

Recently, the company launched <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/03/23/xiaomi-mi-10s-full-review-the-underrated-gaming-phone/">Mi 10S</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/03/26/380127-redmi-k40-series-sales-china-1-million-23-days/">Redmi K40</a> smartphones powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC.</p>
<p>Now, a new report claims that the company is planning to launch three more devices powered by the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-870">Snapdragon 870 chipset</a> this year. However, information about those devices is not yet known.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-366637 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Motorola-Moto-Edge-S-featured.jpg?x44794" alt="Motorola Moto Edge S + Snapdragon 870" width="1021" height="899" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Motorola-Moto-Edge-S-featured.jpg 1021w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Motorola-Moto-Edge-S-featured-300x264.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Motorola-Moto-Edge-S-featured-768x676.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Motorola-Moto-Edge-S-featured-696x613.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Motorola-Moto-Edge-S-featured-477x420.jpg 477w" sizes="(max-width: 1021px) 100vw, 1021px" /></p>
<p>The Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 is a 7nm chipset and appears to be an overclocked version of the <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-865-plus" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Snapdragon 865 Plus</a> SoC. It features the Kryo 585 CPU which has its prime core clocked at 3.2GHz, 100 megaHertz more than that of the Snapdragon 865 Plus’s prime core. The Adreno 650 is the GPU inside and it packs a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/02/19/qualcomm-announces-2nd-gen-snapdragon-x55-5g-modem-with-up-to-7gbps-download-speed/">Snapdragon X55 5G modem</a> that brings support for mmWave and sub-6GHz networks. It also has support for Bluetooth 5.2, support for Wi-Fi 6, and Quick Charge 4+.</p>
<p>It seems that the existence of the Snapdragon 870 SoC is due to manufacturers’ demand for a new chipset for more affordable flagships that cost significantly less than premium phones. Basically, it is a chipset for <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/flagship-smartphone">flagship killers</a>.</p>
<p>Xiaomi isn&#8217;t the only manufacturer with devices powered by the SD870 chipset. Other phone makers, including Motorola, OPPO, and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/iqoo">iQOO</a> among others have launched their devices powered by the SD870 or the phones are currently in the pipeline.</p>

In clear terms, the Mi 10S will come with fast charging on three fronts &#8211; a 50W wired charging support, 30W wireless charging and 10W reverse charging support. <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/mi-10s-2.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-376175" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/mi-10s-2.jpg?x44794" alt="" width="600" height="799" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/mi-10s-2.jpg 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/mi-10s-2-225x300.jpg 225w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/mi-10s-2-315x420.jpg 315w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></a></p>
<p>The battery capacity of the device is yet to be revealed but with a big battery, you won&#8217;t have cause to worry about your device while on a road trip o r there is an outage. The phone can be used to charge other devices and is swift manner.</p>
<p>The flexible fast charging options are not the only interesting feature to look up to on the Mi 10S. Xiaomi&#8217;e CEO Lei Jun had earlier revealed three exciting features that the device pack. One of them is that the Mi 10S will be powered by the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-870">Snapdragon 870</a> chipset. Secondly, the device will utilise the legendary Harmon Kardon speakers. It is no surprise then, tat an early DXOMark audio ranking placed the Mi 10S as having the best audio presently, even before it is official. <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/mi-10s.png?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-376174" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/mi-10s.png?x44794" alt="Xiaomi Mi 10S" width="593" height="261" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/mi-10s.png 593w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/mi-10s-300x132.png 300w" sizes="(max-width: 593px) 100vw, 593px" /></a></p>
<p>Finally, the design will be similar to that of the headline-topping Mi 10 Ultra launched last year. In that case, the phone should have a 6.67-inch 90Hz AMOLED screen with FHD+ resolution. The selfie camera on the Mi 10 Ultra is a 20MP shooter while at the back , there is a quad-camera setup featuring a 108MP primary camera, a 13MP ultrawide camera, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor.</p>

<p>As per the DXOMARK Audio <a href="https://www.dxomark.com/xiaomi-mi-10s-audio-score-no-1-in-audio/">test</a>, the upcoming <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/xiaomi-mi-10s">Xiaomi Mi 10S</a> gets an overall score of 80 which is a point more than the ASUS ROG Phone 5&#8217;s score of 79. The report says that the Mi 10 series&#8217; 2021 addition has also outsmarted its yesteryear <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-mi-10-pro">Mi 10 Pro</a>(76 points).</p>
<p>The device reportedly performs well in both playback and recording scenarios(80 points in each category). Also, we already know that the Mi 10S, which is <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/03/08/xiaomi-mi-10s-is-launching-on-march-10-with-three-exciting-features/">launching on March 10</a>, will have speakers tuned by <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/harmon-kardon">Harmon Kardon</a>. And the report says that the device will have dual symmetrical speakers with the largest 0.7 mm speaker amplitude.</p>
<p>Talking about specs, the Xiaomi Mi 10S official renders have already revealed that the device will feature a quad-camera setup on the back with a 108MP main lens. Thanks to the previous reports, the device is likely to feature a 6.67-inch display.</p>
<p>And looking at the renders above, we can expect a curved AMOLED panel just like the other Mi 10 devices. The device will also feature a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-870">Snapdragon 870</a> chipset and will probably feature a 4,680mAh battery with <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/02/04/3c-certification-reveals-mi-10-sd870-version-redmi-k40-and-redmi-k40-pro-will-support-33w-fast-charging/">33W fast charging</a> support, Android 11 OS out of the box.</p>
<p>The device will sell in Black, White, and Blue color options, and considering it has a slightly upgraded CPU and other features compared to <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-mi-10-5g">Mi 10 5G</a>, we can expect the pricing to be higher than the base model but not as high as the Mi 10 Pro.</p>
<p>Let&#8217;s wait for the full review from DXOMARK which should be live soon after the official launch.</p>

<p>A leak has surfaced on the web that reveals several new devices from Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO that are reported to be scheduled for release in the third quarter. Some of these devices have familiar names while others are not. According to the source, the list was decoded from an encrypted letter sent to a Xiaomi employee.</p>

<li><strong>Redmi Note 9S+</strong> &#8211; according to the list, the Redmi Note 9S+ will be a rebranded <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-redmi-note-9-pro-max/">Redmi Note 9 Pro Max</a>. However, Q3 seems like a pretty long time for a rebranded phone to launch in other markets outside of India.</li>

<ul>
<li><strong>POCO X2 Pro</strong> &#8211; another interesting device that has appeared on the list is the POCO X2 Pro. The POCO X2 is already sold in India, which itself is a rebranded <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-redmi-k30/">Redmi K30 4G</a>.<br />
The POCO X2 Pro is said to be the same device as the newly announced<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-redmi-k30-pro/"> Redmi K30 Pro</a>. We had speculated the Redmi flagship will launch as the successor to the POCO F1 but looking at it now, it does make sense since the Redmi K30 is the POCO X2, it is only right that the Redmi K30 Pro launches as the POCO X2 Pro.</li>
<li><strong>Mi 10T </strong>&#8211; this too is another rebranded Redmi K30 Pro but heading to Europe. If we were to go by last year&#8217;s Redmi K20 launching as the Mi 9T in Europe, the Mi 10T should actually be the same device as the Redmi K30 4G.</li>
</ul>
<figure id="attachment_312448" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-312448" style="width: 500px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-312448" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Xiaomi-Redmi-K30-Pro-Zoom.jpg?x44794" alt="Xiaomi Redmi K30 Pro Zoom" width="500" height="500" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Xiaomi-Redmi-K30-Pro-Zoom.jpg 500w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Xiaomi-Redmi-K30-Pro-Zoom-150x150.jpg 150w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Xiaomi-Redmi-K30-Pro-Zoom-300x300.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Xiaomi-Redmi-K30-Pro-Zoom-420x420.jpg 420w" sizes="(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-312448" class="wp-caption-text">Xiaomi Redmi K30 Pro Zoom Edition will launch as the Mi 10T Pro</figcaption></figure>

<li><strong>Mi 10T Pro</strong> &#8211; Xiaomi will follow up the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-mi-9t-pro/">Mi 9T Pro</a> (Redmi K20 Pro) with a successor this year and it will also be a rebranded phone, but this time, of the newly launched <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-redmi-k30-pro-zoom/">Redmi K30 Pro Zoom Edition</a>.</li>
</ul>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Redmi X10 4G/POCO F2/Mi 10S </strong>&#8211; even with Redmi and Xiaomi betting big on 5G this year, they are not abandoning 4G. Redmi will launch a phone called the Redmi X10, which should be the first of a new series. This device will then be sold as the POCO F2 and the Mi 10S. Curious as to the specs of this device? Don&#8217;t be as the Mi 10S was in the news earlier this month.<br />
The Mi 10S, according to <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/03/07/rumor-xiaomi-to-launch-mi-10-s-with-an-even-bigger-display-in-h2-2020/">info</a> from a Chinese leaker, is an upcoming phone from Xiaomi with a pretty large display. The source revealed the phone will launch in the second half of the year which goes in line with the Q3 release date state above. The Mi 10S should be a flagship phone with either the Snapdragon 865 chipset or the rumored <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/02/16/rumor-snapdragon-865-plus-coming-in-q3-2020/">Snapdragon 865+</a>.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li><strong>Redmi X10 5G/POCO F2 Pro 5G/Mi 10S+ 5G</strong> &#8211; There will also be a 5G version of the phone above and it will launch as the POCO F2 Pro 5G and the Mi 10S+ 5G. Other than 5G, it should have other features that make it different from the 4G version.</li>

<li><strong>Mi 7 2020 </strong>&#8211; there was never a Mi 7 as Xiaomi jumped from Mi 6 to Mi 8 but this leak says we will be getting a Mi 7 2020. Is this the rumored <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/03/23/rumor-xiaomi-might-re-launch-the-mi-6-with-new-specs-and-some-design-changes/">Mi 6 2020</a> but with a new name? Only time will tell.</li>

<li><strong>Mi MIX 4 and Mi MIX 4S </strong>&#8211; last year, Xiaomi announced the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-mi-mix-alpha/">Mi MIX Alpha</a>, a concept phone with a wrap-around screen. It wasn&#8217;t mass-produced as it would have cost a fortune. This year, the company will announce a proper successor to the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-mi-mix-3/">Mi MIX 3</a>. Actually two successors as there will also be a Mi MIX 4S. This should be Xiaomi&#8217;s best flagships of 2020 and we earnestly look forward to them.</li>

However, it is not the largest display we have seen on a phone in recent times. The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-black-shark-3-pro/">Black Shark 3 Pro</a> has a massive 7.1-inch display! And according to an unconfirmed report from China, <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/xiaomi">Xiaomi</a> may announce a variant of the Mi 10 with similar screen size.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-305190" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/xiaomi-mi-10-full-specs-2.jpg?x44794" alt="Mi 10" width="728" height="686" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/xiaomi-mi-10-full-specs-2.jpg 728w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/xiaomi-mi-10-full-specs-2-300x283.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/xiaomi-mi-10-full-specs-2-696x656.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/xiaomi-mi-10-full-specs-2-446x420.jpg 446w" sizes="(max-width: 728px) 100vw, 728px" /></p>
<p>The info is from <em>Digital Chat Station</em> and according to a Weibo post he shared today, there will be an “oversized“ Xiaomi phone called the Mi 10 S (might be stylized as Mi 10S). He adds that the phone will launch in the second half of the year.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-309036" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Xiaomi-Mi-10-S.png?x44794" alt="Xiaomi Mi 10 S" width="789" height="154" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Xiaomi-Mi-10-S.png 789w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Xiaomi-Mi-10-S-300x59.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Xiaomi-Mi-10-S-768x150.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Xiaomi-Mi-10-S-696x136.png 696w" sizes="(max-width: 789px) 100vw, 789px" /></p>
<p>While the info should be taken with a grain of salt until there is proof, we won&#8217;t be surprised if this happens since <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/Black-Shark">Black Shark</a> (which Xiaomi has an investment in) already pulled it off with the Black Shark 3 Pro. The good thing is that this may be the first Xiaomi phone with a 1440 resolution if it uses the same display as the Black Shark 3 Pro which has a 1440 x 3120 resolution.</p>
<p>While the screen size is all we know now, we have some guesses about some other key specs. First, the Mi 10 S may actually come with the rumored <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/02/16/rumor-snapdragon-865-plus-coming-in-q3-2020/">Snapdragon 865 Plus</a> processor. The chipset is scheduled to launch in the second half of the year too, specifically the third quarter of the year.</p>
<p>The Mi 10 S should also have a bigger battery capacity than the Mi 10 which has a 4780mAh battery. Our guess is it will have a 5000mAh battery and should come with even faster wired and wireless charging technology.</p>
<p>What do you think of the Mi 10 S, yay or nay?</p>
