Xiaomi 11T Pro Finally Receives Android 12 MIUI 13 Update

The Xiaomi 11T Pro is one of the more premium offerings from Xiaomi with its Snapdragon 888 flagship chipset and 108MP Samsung HM2 flagship sensor. However, Xiaomi had already pushed out the Android 12 updates to its more budget offerings first like the Redmi 10, Redmi Note 10, Redmi Note 10 Pro while the Xiaomi 11T Pro had not yet received any news of its Android 12 update.

Well, the good news is that from today, Xiaomi is officially pushing out the Android 12 based stable MIUI 13 update to Xiaomi 11T Pro users worldwide!

Since the Xiaomi 11T Pro has just received the Android 12-based MIUI 13 update, here are the new features and system optimisations Xiaomi made that you need to know.

For new features, there are 3 things to note:

Xiaomi has added a new widget ecosystem with app support.
A new super wallpapers lineup is added to MIUI 13 called “Crystallization”.
Apps can be opened as floating windows directly from the sidebar.

For system optimisations, there are 3 things to note as well:

Improved overall system stability in MIUI 13.
Enhanced accessibility support for Phone, Clock, and Weather system apps.
MIUI Mind map nodes are more convenient and intuitive now.

The changelog is quite short. However, Xiaomi does indeed provide more features for its MIUI over time and considering that MIUI 13 is still in its toddler stages, more features and optimisations can be added over the year 2022.

The Xiaomi 11T Pro was originally launched globally 5 months ago on September 15, 2021. The device came preinstalled with MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11. During the launch, Xiaomi brought great news for Xiaomi 11T and 11T Pro buyers that their phones would be guaranteed for 3 major Android OS updates and 4 years of security updates. To elaborate, the Xiaomi 11T Pro will not only receive the Android 12 update, but also the Android 13 and Android 14 update as well in the upcoming years.

This was a first from Xiaomi to guarantee long term software updates for their flagships and it also benefits the environment as well, since users won’t be as eager to upgrade their phones if their phones still run on perfectly capable hardware running on supported software by the phone manufacturer.

Xiaomi to launch Mi Pad 5, Mi 11 Lite 5G NE alongside Mi 11T series, New Renders leaked

New renders of the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 11T series have just surfaced. The new leak arrives just a few days prior to the launch date, and also reveal list of products that the company will be launching in about a week.

The new renders were shared by known tipster Ishan Agarwal and PriceBaba ahead of the series September 15 launch event. While renders of the smartphones have leaked before, the new ones offer us a better look at the design of the upcoming handsets. Furthermore, Ishan Agarwal also claimed that the Mi Pad 5 tablet and the Mi 11 Lite 5G NE will also be announced at the same event, while also revealing a key detail regarding the upcoming launch of the tablet.

Looking at the Mi 11 Lite 5G NE render first, it seems that the Chinese tech giant will be releasing the device in color options similar to the Mi 11 Lite 4G but with a new white color variant as well. The Mi 11 Lite 5G NE can be spotted in Vinyl Black, Tuscany Coral, and Jazz Blue. The NE in the model name stands for New Edition, with this model featuring a Snapdragon 778 SoC over the Snapdragon 780 chip on the regular Mi 11 Lite 5G. Although, rest of the specifications are expected to be mostly the same.

Arriving at the Mi 11T series, the base and Pro variant of the smartphones can be spotted in white, blue, and grey colors. Furthermore, these are similar to a previous listing which found that the color options are called Meteorite Gray, Celestial Blue, and Moonlight White. The renders also reveal the positioning of the volume rockers and the recessed power button, which is likely the embedded fingerprint scanner.

Notably, the tipster also revealed the European pricing of the upcoming Mi Pad 5 as well. The tablet will be available in global markets in a single storage variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage and carry a price tag of 399 Euros (roughly 472 US Dollars). Xiaomi has a global event scheduled for September 15 and one of the products expected to launch is the Mi 11T series. The T-series is Xiaomi’s more affordable Mi flagship series that is exclusive to global markets, and just like last year’s Mi 10T series, we will see a standard model and a pro model. Renders of the Mi 11T Pro have now surfaced and they give us our best look at the device yet.

The source of the renders is the same person that shared key specifications of the phone earlier a few weeks ago and he says they are based on the device itself which he has seen. The Mi 11T will be covered in glass on both sides though the back of the phone looks like it has a brushed metal back.

The Mi 11T Pro is shown to have three rear cameras, and they are all housed in the same camera island along with the LED flash and laser focus module. An inscription on the camera housing confirms that the primary rear camera is a 108MP camera.

Just like last year’s Mi 10T series, the Mi 11T series will also stick to a side-mounted fingerprint scanner even though the display is OLED this time and not LCD.

The Mi 11T Pro will also come with a 120Hz refresh rate which is lower than the 144Hz of the Mi 10T series. The screen will also have a centered punch hole for the front-facing camera. Other reported specifications are a Snapdragon 888 processor, a 5000mAh battery capacity, and support for 120W fast charging.

Xiaomi Mi 11T Pro flagship smartphone’s alleged specs leaks ahead of launch next month

Xiaomi has launched several smartphone models under its flagship Mi 11 lineup this year and now the Chinese tech giant is preparing to launch yet another model — Mi 11T Pro.

There have been a few leaks related to the upcoming smartphone from Xiaomi and now, in the latest development, a Vietnamese Youtube channel has shed more light on what we can expect from the upcoming Mi 11T Pro flagship smartphone.

In terms of build, the report says that the phone will come with a glass back panel but the frame will have a metal build to make the phone sturdy. As for housing the front-facing camera, there will be a punch-hole cutout on the display.

Talking about the display, Digital Chat Station recently claimed that compared to its predecessor, Xiaomi will be reducing the screen refresh rate from 144Hz to 120Hz but will offer an AMOLED screen instead of the LCD panel on the Mi 11T series.

Underneath, the smartphone will come powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 or the Snapdragon 888+ chipset. Recently, a Xiaomi smartphone with model number 2108111RG, powered by MediaTek Dimensity processor was certified and is believed to be the upcoming Mi 11T and the chipset is likely to be the Dimensity 1200 SoC.

Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro

There’s nothing much known about the camera configuration for the Mi 11T Pro. However, for the standard Mi 11T, the company is expected to continue offering the same camera configuration as the Mi 11 Lite. This means that the phone could have a triple-camera setup consisting of a 64-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a 5-megapixel tele-macro lens. On the front side, the device could have a 16-megapixel snapper for taking selfies and video calling.

The smartphone is expected to be running the Android 11 operating system with the company’s own MIUI 12.5 custom user interface. The device is said to be powered by a 5,000mAh battery and has support for 120W fast charging technology. As for the launch date, we exclusively reported that the Mi 11T series could go official on 23rd September.

Last year in October, Xiaomi announced the Xiaomi Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro flagship phones powered by the Snapdragon 865 chip. Recent reports have revealed that the company could be working on Mi 11T and Mi 11T Pro as their successor models. A fresh leak by Xiaomiui Twitter handle has revealed the key specs of the Mi 11T.

The leak reveals that the Xiaomi Mi 11T arriving in the global and Indian market is codenamed as Amber. It will be sporting a 20:9 display that offers a refresh rate of 120Hz. It will be powered by a MediaTek chip. For photography, it will feature a triple camera unit comprising a 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64B primary camera, a Sony IMX355 wide lens, and a telemacro camera that offers 3x zoom.

Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro 5G and Mi 10T 5G

A variant of the same device will be releasing in China with the Redmi K40 Ultra moniker. Codenamed as Agate, the device will feature a 20:9 aspect ratio screen that offers a 120Hz refresh rate. It will be a MediaTek chip-powered device featuring a triple camera setup that features a 108-megapixel Samsung HM2 primary camera, a Sony IMX355 wide-angle lens, and a telemacro camera with 3x zoom.

The model number of Xiaomi Mi 11T’s global variant (21081111RG) was recently spotted at an Indonesian certification site. Since it is expected to rival the OnePlus Nord 2, it is likely to feature the Dimensity 1200 chipset.

The Mi 10T series were equipped with 144Hz LCD panels. A recent leak revealed that the upcoming Mi 11T models will be flaunting 120Hz OLED panels. There is no word on the launch date of the device. Probably, the Redmi model will go official first in China, whereas the Mi 11T series may hit the global/Indian market by October.

Xiaomi is all set to announce its new devices at a launch event tomorrow in China. The company will be launching the Mi MIX 4, Mi Pad 5, a stylus, next-generation OLED Smart TV, a high-end smart speaker, and more.

With all these devices in the pipeline, there’s another device the Chinese company is gearing up to launch. Xiaomi is preparing to launch a new model under its current-generation Mi 11 series flagship lineup, dubbed Xiaomi Mi 11T.

Xiaomi’s Mi 10T Pro 5G

Ahead of its official launch, the Mi 11T smartphone has been certified in Indonesia. The phone, which carries model number 21081111RG, is said to come powered by the MediaTek Dimensity processor.

However, at this time, the exact model of the chipset is not known. Given that it’s a flagship-grade smartphone, we expect the device to come powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC.

It’s noteworthy that this will be the first smartphone from Xiaomi in the Mi 11 lineup to come packed with a MediaTek chipset. All the devices launched so far in this series come powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.

Similar to its predecessor, this upcoming smartphone is expected to come in two different models — Mi 11T and Mi 11T Pro. Recently, the tipster Digital Chat Station claimed that the Mi 11T and Mi 11T Pro will feature a 120Hz OLED display instead of the 144Hz LCD screen found in the Mi 10T series.

Xiaomi is already selling the Mi 11 Lite 4G and Mi 11 Lite 5G in multiple markets. According to a reliable tipster Kacper Skrzypek, the company is working on another Lite monikered device for India called the Mi 11 Lite NE.

According to the tipster, the Mi 11 Lite NE is codenamed as “lisa” and it is powered by the Snapdragon 778G chipset. The model number of this is 2109119DI. This model has already received certification from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). The “2109” model number indicates that this device may debut in India in September. Unfortunately, no other details of the smartphone are known yet.

While India was treated with the Mi 11 Lite 4G, the company is yet to release its 5G sibling in the country. Probably, instead of releasing the Snapdragon 780G chip powered Mi 11 Lite 5G, the company may unveil the Mi 11 Lite NE in India. However, the Lite NE phone may borrow some of its specs from the Mi 11 Lite 5G.

The Mi 11 Lite 5G has a 6.55-inch AMOLED FHD+ display, Snapdragon 780G SoC, up to 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM, up to 128 GB of UFS 2.2 storage, and a 4,250mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging. It has a 20-megapixel front camera and a 64-megapixel + 8-megapixel (ultrawide) + 5-megapixel (macro) triple camera unit.

A new Xiaomi phone with model number 2107113SG has received certification from the Malaysian SIRIM authority. The listing reveals that this device will be released in Malaysia with the Xiaomi Mi 11T Pro moniker.

The SIRIM listing has no information available on the specifications of the Mi 11T Pro. The existence of the Pro model suggests that there could be a vanilla variant called the Mi 11T. Apart from SIRIM, the Mi 11T Pro name and the model number have also appeared in the IMEI database.

Xiaomi Mi 11T Pro receives the SIRIM certification in Malaysia. Moniker confirmed. Plus, the device has already received the FCC certification in the past.

The Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro smartphones from last year were driven by the Snapdragon 865 mobile platform. Hence, it is likely that the Mi 11T series could be equipped with a Snapdragon 8-series flagship chip. It remains to be seen whether the company powers the Mi 11T duo with Snapdragon 870 or Snapdragon 888.

The Xiaomi Mi 10T has a 6.67-inch IPS LCD 144Hz FHD+ display with Gorilla Glass 5 protection, MIUI 12 based on Android 12 OS, and a side-facing fingerprint scanner.

The rear camera of the Mi 10T Pro has a 64-megapixel primary camera, a 13-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 5-megapixel macro camera. It has a selfie camera of 20-megapixel.

The Mi 10T has a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging. The Mi 10T Pro has an OIS-enabled 108-megapixel primary camera instead of the 64-megapixel lens found on the Mi 10T. The rest of the specs are identical on both phones.

The MI 10T was rebadged as the Redmi K30S phone in China. Hence, it is likely that the Mi 10T could be heading to China as a Redmi K40 series phone or Redmi K40S branding.
