Xiaomi launched the Mi 11X series consisting of Mi 11X and Mi 11X Pro in India in late April. The vanilla model was updated to MIUI 12.5 a month after the device’s announcement. Now, the Pro model has also started receiving the said update.

The Mi11X Pro sold in India is originally called Redmi K40 Pro+ in China. This smartphone is also known as Mi 11i in other markets. The original model got the MIUI 12.5 update at the end of April. Hence, the international variants were expected to receive the update in the coming weeks.

Two months later, the much-awaited MIUI 12.5 update is finally here for the Mi 11X Pro. The latest system update for the handset arrives with build number V12.5.1.0.RKKINXM. 

The software build is currently in the Stable Beta phase. In other words, this update is being rolled out in batches. Therefore, it is only available for a select few users. Anyway, it should reach all the users in the coming days.

For those unaware, MIUI 12.5 is a minor upgrade for devices already running MIUI 12. It will be followed by MIUI 13 very soon. The Mi 11X series will be eligible for the next major release of Xiaomi’s mobile operating system and Android 12 as the phones are mere months old.
