<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Just as we </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/04/27/miui-12-could-be-the-last-update-for-mi-6-mi-6x-mi-note-3-mi-mix-2-and-redmi-note-5/"><span style="font-weight: 400">reported in late April 2020</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400">, MIUI 12 is the last major update for the Xiaomi Mi 6X smartphone. This update </span><a href="https://t.me/MIUIUpdatesTracker/12480"><span style="font-weight: 400">comes</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> with build number </span><b>V12.0.1.0.PDCCNXM</b><span style="font-weight: 400"> and is currently in the Stable Beta phase. Therefore, it is only available for select users. But since Mi 6X was only sold in China, the final rollout should begin shortly.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">On the other hand, the global version of this device, </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-mi-a2/"><span style="font-weight: 400">Mi A2</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400">, received its last major update in the form of </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Android-10/"><span style="font-weight: 400">Android 10</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> last year. But it should continue to receive monthly security patches up until July 2021.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">However, if you are a power user, you can install </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Android-11/"><span style="font-weight: 400">Android 11</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> custom ROMs on this phone to experience the latest version of Android from Google. Or else, stick with Android 10 till the end of its lifetime.</span></p>
