Freshly leaked photos of the alleged Mi 7 have appeared today to reveal its front and rear design. One of the images have also revealed the key specifications of the Mi 7.</p>
<p>The first image shows the rear view of two mysterious Xiaomi phones that feature vertical dual camera setup and fingerprint scanner. The corners of the white colored smartphone lying on the left are rounded than the one on the right. The handset kept on the left seems to resemble the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S. However, the Mi MIX 2S has “Mi” branding on its rear which cannot be found on the handset with white rear in the below image.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-189798" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Xiaomi-Mi-7-Leaked-Photos-1.jpg?x96852" alt="" width="440" height="569" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Xiaomi-Mi-7-Leaked-Photos-1.jpg 440w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Xiaomi-Mi-7-Leaked-Photos-1-232x300.jpg 232w" sizes="(max-width: 440px) 100vw, 440px" /></p>
<p>Apart from Mi MIX 2S, Mi 6X and Redmi Note 5 Pro, there are no other Xiaomi phones with vertical dual camera setup. This suggests that the both the premium looking smartphones in the above image could be the alleged the Mi 7 Plus and Mi 7.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-189799" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Xiaomi-Mi-7-Leaked-Photos-2.jpg?x96852" alt="" width="440" height="569" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Xiaomi-Mi-7-Leaked-Photos-2.jpg 440w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Xiaomi-Mi-7-Leaked-Photos-2-232x300.jpg 232w" sizes="(max-width: 440px) 100vw, 440px" /></p>
<p>Coming to the second image in this leak, the purported Mi 7 can be seen <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/04/30/xiaomi-mi-7-display-panel-leaks-affirming-notch-design/">sporting a notched design</a>. The size of the notch is bigger than other notched Android phones like OnePlus 6, Huawei P20, OPPO R15 and so on. The Mi 7 is speculated to feature complex set of sensors for <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/03/12/xiaomi-mi-7-may-arrive-with-display-notch-3d-facial-recognition/">3D structure light</a> that will allow the handset to <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/04/20/xiaomi-mi-7-launch-date-delayed-to-q3-due-to-3d-facial-recognition-issues-claims-report/">support 3D facial recognition</a>. The bezels present on the left and rights sides of the screen are thin, but the bottom bezel is slightly thick.</p>
<p>There is no information on the size of this display in this new leak. However, previous reports have claimed that the smaller Mi 7 may feature a 5.65-inch screen and the larger Mi 7 Plus may come with 6.01-inch OLED screen. The Mi 7 duo is also rumored to feature <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/04/05/xiaomi-mi-7-could-feature-under-display-fingerprint-scanner-hints-ceo/">under display fingerprint scanner</a>.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-189800" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Xiaomi-Mi-7-Leaked-Photos-3.jpg?x96852" alt="" width="440" height="570" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Xiaomi-Mi-7-Leaked-Photos-3.jpg 440w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Xiaomi-Mi-7-Leaked-Photos-3-232x300.jpg 232w" sizes="(max-width: 440px) 100vw, 440px" /></p>

<p>In the third image, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/03/12/xiaomi-mi-7-codenamed-as-dipper-appears-with-snapdragon-845-6-gb-ram-on-geekbench/">“dipper” codename</a> that reportedly belongs to the Mi 7 can be found mentioned at the top. It also reveals that the handset is preinstalled with Android 8.1.0 Oreo and MUI 9 beta skin. It is driven by a 2.8 GHz octa-core processor which corroborates that the Snapdragon 845 SoC will be present under its hood. It has an internal storage of 128 GB.</p>

Rumors surrounding the smartphone have claimed that the company may debut the phone by the end of the first half of the year. There are some contradictory rumors too that claim that its launch date could be pushed back to third quarter, but May release seems more likely. When it arrives, it will be taking on the likes of the newly unveiled <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/honor-10">Honor 10</a> and the upcoming <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/oneplus-6">OnePlus 6</a> flagship.</p>
<p>So, here&#8217;s everything that we know about the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-mi-7/">Xiaomi Mi 7</a>:</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-186648" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Xiaomi-Mi-7-Leaked-Render.jpg?x96852" alt="Xiaomi-Mi-7-Leaked-Render" width="923" height="640" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Xiaomi-Mi-7-Leaked-Render.jpg 923w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Xiaomi-Mi-7-Leaked-Render-300x208.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Xiaomi-Mi-7-Leaked-Render-768x533.jpg 768w" sizes="(max-width: 923px) 100vw, 923px" /></p>

<h3>Notched OLED Display and 3D Facial Recognition</h3>
<p>Plenty of details have surfaced through the leaked firmware files of Xiaomi Mi 7 that is reportedly <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/03/12/xiaomi-mi-7-codenamed-as-dipper-appears-with-snapdragon-845-6-gb-ram-on-geekbench/">codenamed as Dipper</a>.  The firmware files have revealed that the handset will be featuring <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/03/12/xiaomi-mi-7-may-arrive-with-display-notch-3d-facial-recognition/">a notched OLED display design like the iPhone X</a>. Leaked photos of the alleged front panel of the Mi 7 have revealed that it will be arriving with <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/04/30/xiaomi-mi-7-display-panel-leaks-affirming-notch-design/">notched design</a>. The presence of OLED display suggests that it will feature an <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/02/21/xiaomi-mi-7-arrive-oled-screen-always-display-function/">Always-On Display feature</a>.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-188326" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/mi-7.png?x96852" alt="Xiaomi Mi 7 tempered glass Protective film" width="689" height="543" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/mi-7.png 689w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/mi-7-300x236.png 300w" sizes="(max-width: 689px) 100vw, 689px" /></p>
<p>The exact size of the display is not known, but some rumors claim that it may house a 6-inch screen. To be precise, some reports suggest that the Xiaomi Mi 7 will be featuring a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/02/09/xiaomi-mi-7-specs-leaked-features-5-6-inch-fhd-display-16mp-dual-camera-8-gb-ram-massive-battery/">5.6-inch OLED display</a> and the rumored large-sized Mi 7 Plus may come equipped with a 6.01-inch OLED display.</p>
<p>The notch is expected to feature an infrared camera which suggest that the Mi 7 will carry support for <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/03/12/xiaomi-mi-7-may-arrive-with-display-notch-3d-facial-recognition/">3D facial recognition</a>. However, this 3D facial recognition could delay its release. The company is said to be facing issues with this tech, so it is said that the release is <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/04/20/xiaomi-mi-7-launch-date-delayed-to-q3-due-to-3d-facial-recognition-issues-claims-report/">pushed back to Q3 2018</a>. But we are not quite sure of such a late release for the Mi 7.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h3>Chipset, RAM and Battery</h3>
<p>The Snapdragon 845 SoC will be powering the Xiaomi Mi 7. The SoC is expected to be coupled with 6 GB of RAM. It may come in storage choices like 64 GB and 128 GB. The Chinese manufacturer has already introduced wireless charging on the Mi MIX 2S flagship phone. Hence, the 3,350mh battery of the Mi 7 is also expected to carry <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/01/02/xiaomi-mi-7-confirmed-feature-wireless-charging/">support for Qi wireless charging.</a> For photography, the phone is speculated to feature dual 16-megapixel cameras on the rear panel.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h3>Xiaomi Mi 7 Plus</h3>
<p>Xiaomi is also reportedly working on a smartphone that is codenamed as Ursa. Leaked firmware files have revealed that it will be coming with specs similar to the Mi 7. Hence, it is being <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2017/12/11/xiaomi-mi-7-mi-7-plus-may-launch-simultaneously/">dubbed as the Xiaomi Mi 7 Plus</a>.  It is speculated to be equipped with an under-display fingerprint scanner. <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/04/05/xiaomi-mi-7-could-feature-under-display-fingerprint-scanner-hints-ceo/">Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun</a> has also hinted that the Mi 7 will be coming with an in-screen fingerprint scanner. However, there is no confirmation on whether the feature will be exclusively available on the Mi 7 Plus or it will be also present on the Mi 7. As far as <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/03/28/xiaomi-mi-7-plus-likely-to-arrive-with-under-display-fingerprint-scanner/">the specs of the Ursa phone</a> is concerned, it is expected to arrive with Snapdragon 845 chipset, OLED display, dual cameras with optical zoom, and 4,000mAh battery unit.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-182502" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/Xiaomi-Mi-7-Render.jpg?x96852" alt="Xiaomi Mi 7 Render" width="700" height="661" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/Xiaomi-Mi-7-Render.jpg 500w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/Xiaomi-Mi-7-Render-300x283.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></p>

<h3></h3>
<h3>Xiaomi Mi 7 Launch Date</h3>
<p>A leaked poster that had surfaced yesterday claims that the Mi 7 will be <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/04/30/xiaomi-mi-7-leaked-launch-poster-reveals-may-23-unveil-date/">launching on May 23</a>. But the quality of the poster is questionable which makes us doubt its authenticity. So, an exact release date is still far from confirmed.</p>
<p>Delaying the Mi 7 release could make some sense. Xiaomi would not want the Mi 7&#8217;s release to hamper the sales of the Mi Mix 2S or vice versa. Despite being placed in slightly different segments, both the phones are considered flagships in terms of specs. So, releasing the Mi 7 now may not be favorable for the one month old Mix 2S.</p>
<p>But history shows that&#8217;s not usually a concern for Xiaomi. At present, you can get the newly launched and powerful Xiaomi Mi 6X and the couple of months old Redmi Note 5 for around the same price in China. In fact, we did cover a story where we<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/04/25/xiaomi-mi-6x-vs-redmi-note-5-pro-will-the-new-model-cannibalize-the-sales-of-the-best-seller/"> mentioned the Mi 6X could cannibalize the sales of the RN5 and many seem to agree to this</a>.</p>
<p>So, as far as the release date is concerned, we are not quite sure of a particular date.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-188203" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Xiaomi-Mi-7-plus-launch-poster.jpg?x96852" alt="Xiaomi Mi 7 leaked launch poster" width="568" height="941" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Xiaomi-Mi-7-plus-launch-poster.jpg 568w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Xiaomi-Mi-7-plus-launch-poster-181x300.jpg 181w" sizes="(max-width: 568px) 100vw, 568px" /></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>But there are other indicators that the Mi 7 launch is near. The Xiaomi <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/04/09/xiaomi-mi-6-goes-out-of-stock-mi-7-launching-soon/">Mi 6 is currently only available in 64 GB storage + 4 GB RAM</a> variant on the official Chinese site of Xiaomi. Rest of the variants are no longer available for purchase. Unless they come back in stock soon, it&#8217;s definitely an indicator that the company is preparing for the Mi 7 launch.</p>

Rumors surrounding the Mi 7 suggest that the company may launch it within the first half of this year. Today, a leaked launch poster of the Mi 7 has surfaced on Weibo. It states that the company will be launching the Mi 7 on May 23.</p>
<p>The launch posters that are released by Xiaomi are always of high quality. However, the above poster seems to be fake since it is a low-quality image with a blurry Mi logo at the top right corner. If Xiaomi launches the Mi 7 on May 23, it may cannibalize the sales of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-mi-mix-2s">Mi MIX 2S</a> that was launched on March 27<img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-188203" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Xiaomi-Mi-7-plus-launch-poster.jpg?x96852" alt="Xiaomi Mi 7 leaked launch poster" width="568" height="941" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Xiaomi-Mi-7-plus-launch-poster.jpg 568w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Xiaomi-Mi-7-plus-launch-poster-181x300.jpg 181w" sizes="(max-width: 568px) 100vw, 568px" /></p>
<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-mi-7">Xiaomi Mi 7</a> is expected to arrive with a notched display design, but when it comes to hardware specs, it may house the same chipset, RAM and storage that are available on the Mi MIX 2S. Hence, it seems unlikely that Xiaomi may launch Mi 7 within two months of launching Mi MIX 2S. Moreover, a recent report had revealed that Xiaomi has <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/04/20/xiaomi-mi-7-launch-date-delayed-to-q3-due-to-3d-facial-recognition-issues-claims-report/">encountered some issues with 3D facial recognition</a> feature on Mi 7 because of which its launch could be pushed to the third quarter of the year.</p>
<p>Recent reports have claimed that Xiaomi will be also debuting the Mi 7 Plus alongside the Mi 7 phone. Even before its official launch, Geekbuying has listed the Mi 7 Plus smartphone with a pricing of $473.99. The listing appears to be fake. The features mentioned on the Geekbuying’s Mi 7 Plus product page seems to be based on the rumors surrounding it.</p>

<p>According to the Mi 7 Plus listing on the Chinese retailer site, it features a 6.01-inch FHD+ display and the Snapdragon 845 SoC powers it with 6 GB of RAM. It has a native storage of 64 GB. Its rear features 20-megapixel + 12-megapixel dual camera setup and it has a front-facing camera of 20-megapixel. This suggests that the Chinese manufacturer could be gearing up to announce the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-mi-7/">Xiaomi Mi 7</a> flagship phone. Fresh photos of the alleged Mi 7 smartphone have appeared on Weibo to reveal its appearance and some of its features.</p>
<p>The alleged Xiaomi Mi 7 can be seen in white color in the newly leaked photos. The sides of the phone seem to be sporting a stainless-steel frame. The bottom edge of the phone is equipped with an external speaker, a USB-C port and a microphone. The two antenna strips on the bottom edge of the phone are clearly visible.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-184217" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Xiaomi-Mi-7-Leaked-Photo-2.jpg?x96852" alt="Xiaomi Mi 7 Leaked Photo " width="550" height="412" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Xiaomi-Mi-7-Leaked-Photo-2.jpg 550w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Xiaomi-Mi-7-Leaked-Photo-2-300x225.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Xiaomi-Mi-7-Leaked-Photo-2-160x120.jpg 160w" sizes="(max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px" /></p>
<p>The images also reveal that like the predecessor model, the Mi 7 does not feature a 3.5mm audio jack. The image showing the right edge of the phone shows the presence of buttons for power and volume. It also gives a glimpse of a vertically aligned dual camera setup. It seems that the LED flash could be placed between the dual lenses.</p>
<p>=<img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-184216" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Xiaomi-Mi-7-Leaked-Photo-3.jpg?x96852" alt="Xiaomi Mi 7 Leaked Photo " width="550" height="412" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Xiaomi-Mi-7-Leaked-Photo-3.jpg 550w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Xiaomi-Mi-7-Leaked-Photo-3-300x225.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Xiaomi-Mi-7-Leaked-Photo-3-160x120.jpg 160w" sizes="(max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px" /></p>
<p>The left side of the phone only features a SIM card slot. Unfortunately, there is no image showing the frontside of the Mi 7. It is speculated that the Mi 7 will be equipped with a notched display like the iPhone X.</p>

<p>Recent rumors have revealed that the Xiaomi Mi 7 could be the second phone from the company to arrive with <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/02/27/xiaomi-mi-7-likely-support-7-5w-wireless-charging-like-iphone-x/">wireless charging feature</a> for its 3,400mAh battery. It goes without saying that the smartphone will be <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/03/12/xiaomi-mi-7-codenamed-as-dipper-appears-with-snapdragon-845-6-gb-ram-on-geekbench/">powered by Snapdragon 845</a>. It may not feature more than 6 GB of RAM. The Mi 7 is also rumored to feature <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/03/12/xiaomi-mi-7-may-arrive-with-display-notch-3d-facial-recognition/">3D facial recognition feature</a>.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/04/05/xiaomi-mi-7-could-feature-under-display-fingerprint-scanner-hints-ceo/">Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun</a> has recently hinted that the Mi 7 will be coming with under display fingerprint sensor. However, recent reports have claimed that there could be two variants of the Mi 7. The smaller may feature 5.65-inch display and it may not in-screen fingerprint reader. The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/03/28/xiaomi-mi-7-plus-likely-to-arrive-with-under-display-fingerprint-scanner/">Mi 7 Plus</a> is pegged to arrive with features like 6.1-inch display, Snapdragon 845, 4,000mAh battery and under display fingerprint reader.</p>

Plenty of details of the Mi 7 have appeared through its leaked firmware files and other sources in the recent weeks. The Xiaomi Mi 7 will possibly be a real breakthrough smartphone from <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/xiaomi/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Xiaomi</a> as it is likely to come equipped with features like OLED display, 3D facial scanning, wireless charging and more. Here is a low down on the some of the exciting features to watch out on the Xiaomi Mi 7:</p>
<h3>OLED Display</h3>
<p>Through multiple leaks it has been known that the Xiaomi Mi 7 may feature <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/02/28/xiaomi-mi-mix-2s-mi-7-may-feature-6-01-inch-oled-screen-samsung/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">an OLED display supplied by Samsung</a>. The Mi 7 firmware files have revealed that its display will be <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/03/26/xiaomi-mi-7-display-panels-leaked-photo-features-a-notch/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">enabled with a notch</a> and it will carry support for Always-On Display feature. The recently launched Mi MIX 2S features an LCD panel that offers an 18:9 aspect ratio. However, the notch enabled Mi 7 may offer 19:9 aspect ratio.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-182502" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/Xiaomi-Mi-7-Render.jpg?x96852" alt="Xiaomi Mi 7 Render" width="500" height="472" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/Xiaomi-Mi-7-Render.jpg 500w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/Xiaomi-Mi-7-Render-300x283.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px" /></p>
<h3>Under-Display Fingerprint Scanner</h3>
<p>Speculations are rife that Xiaomi will be launching <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2017/12/11/xiaomi-mi-7-mi-7-plus-may-launch-simultaneously/">the Mi 7 Plus smartphone alongside the Mi 7</a>. The firmware files of the alleged Mi 7 Plus have revealed that it may come with features like an OLED display, Snapdragon 845 chipset, 4,000mAh battery and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/03/28/xiaomi-mi-7-plus-likely-to-arrive-with-under-display-fingerprint-scanner/">under-display fingerprint scanner</a>. However, there is no evidence on whether the Mi 7 will feature an under-display fingerprint scanner.</p>
<h3>3D Facial Recognition</h3>
<p>The firmware files of the Mi 7 had also unearthed that its notch could be housing Infrared Camera sensor. This suggests that the Mi 7 may arrive with <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/03/12/xiaomi-mi-7-may-arrive-with-display-notch-3d-facial-recognition/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">3D facial scanning</a> feature. It could be as robust as Face ID 3D facial recognition function present on iPhone X.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-175497" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/crop.php_.jpeg?x96852" alt="Xiaomi Mi 7 Alleged back reflective" width="500" height="669" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/crop.php_.jpeg 750w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/crop.php_-224x300.jpeg 224w" sizes="(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px" /></p>
<p>If the Mi 7 will arrive with 3D face reader, it may not need to feature an under-display or a regular  fingerprint scanner. A leaked image showing the rear view of the alleged Mi 7 that had appeared in the previous month reveals that it does not feature a fingerprint scanner.</p>
<h3>Dual Rear Cameras</h3>
<p>Like the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-mi-mix-2s" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S</a>, the Mi 7 is speculated to arrive with vertically aligned dual camera system. As of this writing, there is no information on the exact configuration of the dual rear cameras of Mi 7. However, it is likely to borrow AI capabilities of Mi MIX 2S for better low-light photography, bokeh effect shots and scene detection.</p>
<h3>Xiao AI Voice Assistant</h3>
<p>The Mi MIX 2S is the first smartphone from the company to feature the AI assistant named Xiao AI. At present, Xiao AI is only available in China. Now that the Xiaomi&#8217;s digital assistant has been introduced, the Mi 7 is for sure going to feature it. However, there is no confirmation on whether it will carry support for English and other languages.</p>
<p>Here is an official video that shows how efficient the Xiaomi’s voice assistant is.</p>
<p><iframe loading="lazy" title="#MoreThanPhones: Meet Xiao Ai! | Xiaomi&#039;s Very Own Digital Assistant" width="696" height="392" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/6iiiYI08dX4?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen></iframe></p>
<h3>Wireless Charging</h3>
<p>The Xiaomi Mi 7 is expected to house a 3,400mAh battery. A recent report had revealed that it may support <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/02/27/xiaomi-mi-7-likely-support-7-5w-wireless-charging-like-iphone-x/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">7.5W wireless charging</a> like the iPhone X.</p>
<p>Such features of the Mi 7 indicate that it will be an ultimate flagship phone from the company. Would you be buying the Mi MIX 2S or waiting for the launch of Mi 7? Share us your views by posting your comments below.</p>

This means that the launch date of the Mi 7 flagship could be pushed back. Mocha RQ, a known industry insider has claimed that the Mi 7 will get official in June. He also revealed some fresh information on features of Mi 7.</p>
<p>The Mi MIX 2S is launching in March end. Launching the Mi 7 in April or May can affect the sales of the Mi MIX 2S. Hence, the company may want to launch the Mi 7 after a certain duration. Mocha RQ has speculated that the Mi 7 will be announced and released in the market in June. According to him, the company is working on adding in-screen fingerprint scanner on Mi 7. This could be another reason why the launch of Mi 7 could be delayed.</p>
<p>As previous rumors have claimed, the tipster also said that the Mi 7 will be equipped with 6-inch Samsung display. However, a new thing revealed by him is that the Mi 7 will be sporting a notch design, probably like the iPhone X. However, a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/02/25/alleged-xiaomi-mi-7-real-images-crop-full-screen-front-super-reflective-back/">leaked photo of the Mi 7</a> that had appeared yesterday did not feature a notch.</p>

<p>The tipster has stated the Mi 7 would be coming in RAM variants of 8 GB and 6 GB. Both the models will be powered by Snapdragon 845. The leaked information also reveals that the Mi 7 will come with AI integration and vertically stacked camera module like the iPhone X.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/02/21/xiaomi-mi-7-arrive-oled-screen-always-display-function/">Leaked firmware files</a> that reportedly belong to the Mi 7 had revealed in the previous week that it would be coming with an OLED display that will bring the new Always-On Display function. On the other side, the Xiaomi Mi 7 is speculated to debut in early second quarter this year. Today, a screenshot showing the key specs of the Mi 7 smartphone has appeared.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-172516" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/Xiaomi-Mi-7-MIUI-page.jpg?x96852" alt="Xiaomi Mi 7 MIUI " width="539" height="960" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/Xiaomi-Mi-7-MIUI-page.jpg 539w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/Xiaomi-Mi-7-MIUI-page-168x300.jpg 168w" sizes="(max-width: 539px) 100vw, 539px" /></p>
<p>As it can be seen in the above screenshot, the Mi 7 features a 5.6-inch display that supports FHD+ resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. Hence, the display will be supporting an aspect ratio of 18:9.</p>
<p>The Snapdragon 845 is present under the hood of the Mi 7. It is accompanied by 8 GB of RAM. By this it could become the first Mi series phone to arrive with 8 GB of RAM. The screenshot also reveals that it has an inbuilt storage of 128 GB.</p>
<p>This suggests that it could be higher configuration model and there could be a lower configuration variant featuring 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. It includes a huge battery of 4,480mAh battery and it is loaded with MIUI 9 Developer ROM version 8.1.30x. At launch, it is expected to arrive with the stable edition of MIUI 9 flavored Android Nougat.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-168548 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/xiaomi-mi-7-render-leak.jpg?x96852" alt="Xiaomi Mi 7 Render Leak" width="805" height="460" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/xiaomi-mi-7-render-leak.jpg 805w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/xiaomi-mi-7-render-leak-300x171.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/xiaomi-mi-7-render-leak-768x439.jpg 768w" sizes="(max-width: 805px) 100vw, 805px" /></p>

<p>The Mi 6 came with a 3,350 battery. The inclusion of a 4,480mAh battery on its successor model sounds too good to be true. Hence, the information revealed by the above screenshot cannot be blindly trusted.</p>
<p>Previous reports have claimed that Xiaomi will be launching <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2017/12/11/xiaomi-mi-7-mi-7-plus-may-launch-simultaneously/">Mi 7 Plus</a> also alongside the Mi 7. The Mi 7 Plus is speculated to house a larger Samsung display of 6 inches. Last year, the <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-mi-6" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Mi 6</a> was launched as the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2017/04/19/xiaomi-mi-6-launched-12mp-dual-cameras-sd835-no-headphone-jack/">first Mi series phone</a> with dual rear cameras with a price tag of 2,499 Yuan (~$395) and its premium ceramic variant carried a pricing of 2,999 Yuan (~$475). Recent rumors have claimed that the Mi 7 would be arriving with an expensive price tag compared to the Mi 6.</p>
<p>Fresh information claims that the Xiaomi Mi 7 could be the costliest ever Mi series phone as it is pegged to be available with a beginning price of 3,000 Yuan (~$475). The increased pricing could be because of the high-end specs that will be featuring.</p>
<p>Rumors have it that the Mi 7 would be arriving in two models namely, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2017/12/11/xiaomi-mi-7-mi-7-plus-may-launch-simultaneously/">Mi 7 and Mi 7 Plus</a>. A 5.65-inch 18:9 aspect ratio display is expected to be available on the Mi 7 whereas the Plus variant is pegged to house an 18:9 aspect ratio supporting <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2017/09/04/xiaomi-mi-7-rumors-arriving-q1-2018-6-inch-oled-snapdragon-845/">6.01-inch OLED screen by Samsung</a>. The Mi 7 duo are rumored to arrive with facial recognition feature and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2017/12/05/xiaomi-mi-7-may-arrive-ai-powered-dual-rear-camera/">AI equipped dual rear cameras</a>. Recent reports have also suggested that the Mi 7 could be the first Mi series phone to arrive with support for <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/01/02/xiaomi-mi-7-confirmed-feature-wireless-charging/">wireless charging</a>.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-167664" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/mi7.jpg?x96852" alt="xiaomi mi 7" width="550" height="400" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/mi7.jpg 550w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/mi7-300x218.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px" /></p>

<p>The Mi 7 models are almost confirmed to arrive with <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2017/09/28/xiaomi-reportedly-working-qualcomm-optimizing-snapdragon-845-xiaomi-mi-7/">Snapdragon 845 mobile platform</a>. The base model of the Mi 6 had arrived with 6 GB of RAM. There was no 8 GB RAM variant for it, but a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2017/11/07/xiaomi-mi-6-4gb-ram-variant/">2,299 Yuan priced 4 GB RAM variant</a> was launched in November last year. It speculated that the Mi 7 series phone may feature an advanced 8 GB RAM model.</p>
<p>Hence, Mi 7 and its variants are speculated to arrive with 3,000 Yuan (~$475) or higher pricing. Recent leaks have suggested that <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/01/17/xiaomi-will-attend-mwc-2018-mi-7-launch-likely/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Xiaomi will using the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 platform</a> in the coming month to announce the Mi 7 and Mi 7 Plus. Even though the Mi 7 will be coming with a costlier price tag, it would still be value for money phone because of its specifications.</p>
