After launching the Mi MIX 2S smartphone, China-based Xiaomi is now gearing up to launch its new flagship smartphone — Mi 7, which is the successor of the Mi 6 launched last year.

Now, ahead of the phone’s official launch, pricing information of the Mi 7 has been leaked online. According to the leak, the phone will start at 2,799 Yuan for the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant while the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage model will cost 3,299 Yuan.

It appears that the leak comes from Xiaomi Mall website. However, we could not verify the accuracy of this new leak. So, take this information with a pinch of salt.

The smartphone is expected to come with a notched display, similar to other flagship smartphones launched this year. It is also speculated to pack an OLED display, which suggests that it will come with Always-On Display feature.

As for the display size, reports suggest that the Mi 7 could be featuring a 5.6-inch OLED display and the rumored large-sized Mi 7 Plus may come equipped with a 6.01-inch OLED display. The notch on the display is expected to feature an infrared camera which suggests that the device will carry support for 3D facial recognition.

Under the hood, the smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 processor, along with 6GB RAM and two internal storage options — 64GB and 128GB. Coming to the camera department, the phone is expected to feature a 16-megapixel dual camera setup at the back.

Running on the MIUI based on Android Oreo operating system, the Xiaomi Mi 7 is expected to be powered by a 3,350mAh battery with support for Qi Wireless Charging, similar to what we saw on the recently launched Mi MIX 2S.

The Xiaomi Mi 7 is expected to launch later this month, probably at a launch event on 23rd May. Images related to the 23rd May launch of Mi 7 has been circulating online on Chinese microblogging platform, but it does not come from official sources.

Meanwhile, the company has announced that it holding a launch event on May 10th, where Xiaomi will launch its new budget smartphone — Redmi S2 and the new Redmi S-series of smartphones.
