Xiaomi has been rolling out MIUI 12.5 stable update to a number of devices for the past few days. The latest smartphone to get this update is 2019’s Mi CC9 Meitu Edition. This handset is a customized version of the regular Mi CC9.

Back in 2019, Xiaomi introduced the China-exclusive Mi CC9 series. The lineup includes three devices and a limited edition model called Mi CC9 Meitu Edition. The latter phone is the latest Xiaomi group smartphone to receive the MIUI 12.5 update.

The Mi CC9 Meitu Edition MIUI 12.5 update is currently in the ‘Stable Beta’ phase with build number V12.5.1.0.RFECNXM. It also brings Android 11 to this handset.

For those unaware, MIUI builds termed as ‘Stable Beta’ are only released for a select few users. The status of these builds is changed to ‘Stable’ and gradually rolled out to all users if the early adopters don’t face any major issues.

That said, since the regular Mi CC9 has identical hardware, it should also receive the MIUI 12.5 update in the coming days. Once that device gets it, we can expect the Mi 9 Lite to receive the MIUI 12.5 update as it is a rebranded Mi CC9 for global markets.
