<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">That said, it is not sure when Android 11 builds will be released for the above-mentioned phones. Because the company has </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/12/09/xiaomi-confirms-the-arrival-of-miui-12-5/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">suspended the beta program</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> for an unspecific period of time from next week ahead of MIUI 12.5 release.</span></p>

These handsets have been receiving MIUI 12 beta builds based on Android 11 for a few months now.</p>

<p>The announcement was made online on Weibo, a Chinese microblogging website. The Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro was released back on 5th November 2019 and was the first smartphone to launch with a 100 megapixel camera. Notably, the device even topped the DxOMark camera rating, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/11/05/xiaomi-mi-cc9-pro-scores-121-on-dxomark-ties-for-highest-score-with-mate-30-pro/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">receiving an overall score of 121 points in the testings</a>. This made it the highest scoring Xiaomi smartphone at the time as well. For those unaware, DxOMark is a known figure that rates smartphones and professional grade cameras.</p>

<p>Previously, the Vice President of Xiaomi, Lu Weibing, had announced on his official Weibo account that every 4G handsets above 2,000 Yuan (roughly 282 US Dollars) will be delisted immediately. The reason given was the arrival of 5G enabled handset era. So this move comes as no surprise, rather being expected sooner or later. As of right now, Xiaomi&#8217;s CC9 Pro can no longer be found on Xiaomi&#8217;s official website.</p>

<p>When it launched, the Mi CC9 ran Android 9 Pie out of the box. Now, Xiaomi has begun rolling out a new MIUI 11 update that brings Android 10 to the phone. This is a stable update that is limited to China and it comes with the February 2020 security patch. Hopefully, the update will soon be made available for the Mi 9 Lite.</p>

<p>The update arrives as MIUI V11.0.1.0.QFCCNXM and is 2.3GB in size. The update also fixes some bugs in the device.</p>
<p>The Mi CC9 has a 6.39-inch Super AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch for a 32MP selfie camera. There is a Snapdragon 710 processor powering it along with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of expandable storage.</p>

While we have no doubt that it will get updated, there is a possibility the standard <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-mi-cc9/">Mi CC9</a> will be getting the update first.</p>
<p>A beta update has begun rolling out to the Mi CC9 in China and it brings Android 10 along. The MIUI 11 beta update which has version number 9.11.12 is 2.3 GB in size.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-289223" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Xiaomi-Mi-CC9-Android-10.jpg?x44794" alt="Xiaomi Mi CC9 Android 10" width="564" height="816" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Xiaomi-Mi-CC9-Android-10.jpg 564w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Xiaomi-Mi-CC9-Android-10-207x300.jpg 207w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Xiaomi-Mi-CC9-Android-10-290x420.jpg 290w" sizes="(max-width: 564px) 100vw, 564px" /></p>
<p>The changelog doesn&#8217;t say much but mentions that there may be app compatibility issues with the new update.</p>
<p>Android 10 brings features such as Smart Reply, privacy controls, new customizations for notifications, and new emojis. The Android 10 update will not bring any UI changes to the phone since it is buried under MIUI 11.</p>
<p>The Mi CC9 launched in July 2019. It has a 6.39-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch. There is a Snapdragon 710 processor under the hood paired with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of expandable storage. The back of the phone which is covered in Gorilla Glass 5 is home to a 48MP + 8MP + 2MP triple camera setup. Now, users of the <a href="http://gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-mi-cc9">Mi CC9</a> have reported that their models have started receiving OTA updates for the MIUI 11.3.1.0 stable version. The update package comes with a large 728MB size and so it is advised that updating should be done over a WiFi connection. We couldn&#8217;t verify from the changelog (in Chinese) if this new update is based on Android 9 or 10. However, considering the premium midrange rating of the Mi CC9, we want to believe it is Android 10-based.</p>

<p>MIUI 11 brings a whole lot of new features to the table. The new features include new icons for the UI which is a traditional feature of successive MIUI versions. The update also brings smoother animations, Ultra Power Saving Mode as well as Kids Mode which provides a safe digital environment for kids by running only apps whitelisted by their parent or guardian. MIUI 11 equally tracks the owner&#8217;s smartphone usage time in order to help avoid spending too much time. Other features include earthquake alerts, the ability to cast to an external display with the added feature of continuous casting even when the display is turned off to save battery.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/mi-cc9.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-285512" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/mi-cc9.jpg?x44794" alt="MIUI 11 Mi cc9" width="400" height="3179" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/mi-cc9.jpg 400w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/mi-cc9-129x1024.jpg 129w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/mi-cc9-53x420.jpg 53w" sizes="(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px" /></a></p>
<p>As a reminder, the Mi CC9 was <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/07/02/xiaomi-mi-cc9-cc9e-cc9e-meitu-custom-edition-unveiled-specs-features-and-price/">first announced</a> in July this year alongside the Mi CC9e, Mi CC9 Meizu custom edition. The device was later launched as the <a href="http://gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-mi-9-lite">Mi 9 Lite</a> outside China and so we expect a swift update for the global version. The phone packs a 6.39-inch AMOLED display with a 91% screen ratio. Powering the model is a Snapdragon 710 chipset. The Mi CC9 utilises an under-display fingerprint sensor. It equally packs NFC, infrared remote control and Hi-Res HD audio.</p>

<p>The Thailand agency has certified a <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/xiaomi">Xiaomi</a> phone with the model number M1904F3BG and the certificate does say this is the Mi 9 Lite. The model number is near identical to that of the Mi CC9 sold in China whose model number is M1904F3BT.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-274968" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Mi-9-Lite-NBTC.jpg?x44794" alt="Mi 9 Lite NBTC" width="728" height="801" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Mi-9-Lite-NBTC.jpg 728w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Mi-9-Lite-NBTC-273x300.jpg 273w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Mi-9-Lite-NBTC-696x766.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Mi-9-Lite-NBTC-382x420.jpg 382w" sizes="(max-width: 728px) 100vw, 728px" /></p>
<p>The Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite was <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/08/09/xiaomi-m1904f3bg-cc9-gets-certified-in-russia-may-launch-soon-as-the-mi-a3-pro/">first certified in Russia by the EEC back in early August</a>, but then we thought it would launch as the Mi A3 Pro. Sadly, that will not be the case. As it stands now, the chance of a Pro version of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-mi-a3/">Mi A3</a> existing is getting slim, and those waiting for one may have to settle for the Mi A3 or another device.</p>
<p>The Mi 9 Lite may launch this month, and when it does, it will carry the familiar Mi logo on its back and run MIUI. The phone will have a 6.39-inch FHD+ display with a notch at the top for a 32MP selfie camera. It will also have an in-display fingerprint scanner.</p>
<p>The phone will be powered by a Snapdragon 710 processor, with 6GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of onboard storage. Irrespective of the version you purchase, you will be able to add more storage via a MicroSD card slot. On the back will be triple rear cameras &#8211; a 48MP f/1.8 primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP depth sensor.</p>
<p>The Mi 9 Lite should pack a 4030mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. It will have a USB type-c port, a 3.5mm audio jack, NFC, and an infrared port too. Xiaomi will ship it with MIUI based on Android 9 Pie.</p>

It&#8217;s as if there&#8217;s a new Xiaomi smartphone in the market every 15 days. We say this because we have some fresh news from our supply chain sources and they reveal that the <strong>Xiaomi Mi A3</strong> will meet us real soon too. How soon? We don&#8217;t have an exact date, but know that the phone will soon be ready for shipping.</span></p>
<figure id="attachment_262953" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-262953" style="width: 868px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Xiaomi-Mi-CC9e.png?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="wp-image-262953 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Xiaomi-Mi-CC9e.png?x44794" alt="Xiaomi Mi CC9e" width="868" height="540" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Xiaomi-Mi-CC9e.png 868w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Xiaomi-Mi-CC9e-300x187.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Xiaomi-Mi-CC9e-768x478.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Xiaomi-Mi-CC9e-356x220.png 356w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Xiaomi-Mi-CC9e-696x433.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Xiaomi-Mi-CC9e-675x420.png 675w" sizes="(max-width: 868px) 100vw, 868px" /></a><figcaption id="caption-attachment-262953" class="wp-caption-text">Mi CC9e could be the Mi A3!</figcaption></figure>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">After the success of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-mi-a2/">Mi A2</a>, there&#8217;s been a lot of speculation whether there&#8217;ll be a successor this year. Turns out, there will be one and we can confirm this information. And like Ishan revealed <a href="https://www.mysmartprice.com/gear/mi-a3/">via MSP yesterday</a>, it will be a rebranded CC series model. However, our source has a slightly different information. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">According to our source, the<strong> Xiaomi Mi A3 will be a rebranded Mi CC9e</strong> model. In fact, it is said that the A3 is already being stocked up. But there will be one more device, which will be a rebranded <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/cc9">CC9</a> model. Unfortunately, our source couldn&#8217;t confirm the name of this model. It&#8217;s said that the rebranded <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-mi-cc9/">CC9</a> model will launch in September. </span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><strong><span style="color: #ff0000;">Editor&#8217;s Pick:</span> <a title="Huawei confirms Hongmeng OS moniker, Increased its Revenue in H1 2019" href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/07/12/huawei-confirms-hongmeng-os-moniker-increased-its-revenue-in-h1-2019/" rel="bookmark">Huawei confirms Hongmeng OS moniker, Increased its Revenue in H1 2019</a></strong></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">There&#8217;s some information on the pricing as well. The price of the 4GB+64GB <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/xiaomi">Xiaomi</a> Mi A3 model is said to be <strong>around $199</strong>. This could be the pricing for the Indian market, which converts to around Rs. 13,700. </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">If this is true, then the Xiaomi Mi A3 will feature <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragn-665">Snapdragon 665</a> with a 48MP triple camera setup, a 6-inch 720p display and a 32MP selfie camera. Note that the Mi A3 series will continue to feature stock Android on board like its predecessors.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">If you notice, this information is quite different from Ishan&#8217;s leak. He said that the Mi A3 will feature a Snapdragon 730 processor while the Mi A3 Lite would feature a Snapdragon 675 processor. But our source seems to be quite sure of the above information.</span></p>
<figure style="width: 420px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Xiaomi-M1906F9SH-Schematics-420x420.png?x44794" alt="Mi A3 Android One" width="420" height="420" /><figcaption class="wp-caption-text">FCC confirms Android One on the upcoming model</figcaption></figure>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Interestingly, the Mi A3 Android One model<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/07/08/purported-xiaomi-mi-a3-m1906f9sh-with-48-ai-triple-cameras-fcc-certified/"> had already passed through FCC and IMDA</a> certifications last week. And guess what &#8211; the model number of the certified Android One model, M1906F9SH was very similar to the<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/06/13/purported-xiaomi-mi-cc9e-selfie-phones-specs-leaked-could-it-be-the-3c-approved-m1904f3bc-t-smartphone/"> Mi CC9e that was certified</a> back in June. This adds even more credibility to what our source revealed. </span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><strong><span style="color: #ff0000;">Review:</span> <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/07/11/xiaomi-cc9-smartphone-review-a-new-choice-for-youth/">Xiaomi Mi CC9 Is The New Choice For The Young!</a></strong></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">However, what&#8217;s confusing is that if the Mi A3 is a rebranded <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-mi-cc9e/">Xiaomi Mi CC9e</a>, then the company is essentially bringing down its Mi A series lineup to a lower priced category. That would also explain the cheaper $199 price tag. If you recall, the Mi A2 started at Rs. 16,999 in India last year, which comes to around $234.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Anyway, the official Mi A3 launch shouldn&#8217;t be far off. So, we&#8217;ll get to know official details very soon!</span></p>

So, in this article, let&#8217;s take a deeper look at Xiaomi Mi 9 vs CC9 comparison and why they differ quite significantly.</p>
<p>In order to understand how both the phones differ and why they are priced differently, let&#8217;s take a look at them in detail down below.</p>
<h3><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Xiaomi-Mi-9-vs-CC9-featured.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-262289 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Xiaomi-Mi-9-vs-CC9-featured-e1562148537456.jpg?x44794" alt="Mi 9 vs CC9" width="800" height="372" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Xiaomi-Mi-9-vs-CC9-featured-e1562148537456.jpg 800w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Xiaomi-Mi-9-vs-CC9-featured-e1562148537456-300x140.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Xiaomi-Mi-9-vs-CC9-featured-e1562148537456-768x357.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Xiaomi-Mi-9-vs-CC9-featured-e1562148537456-696x324.jpg 696w" sizes="(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></a></h3>
<h3>Xiaomi Mi 9 vs CC9: Design</h3>
<p>This is one department where both the phones are the most similar. They both share a similar form factor mainly due to the fact that their displays are identical. Both the phones feature a 6.39-inch Super AMOLED 2340 x 1080p display up front with a waterdrop notch. The notch sizes are also very similar. Coming to the back, both the phones feature a triple camera setup in an identical vertical arrangement. All these factors contribute to their similar looks.</p>

<a href='https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Xiaomi-Mi-9-1.jpg?x44794'><img width="696" height="515" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Xiaomi-Mi-9-1.jpg?x44794" class="attachment-large size-large" alt="mi 9" loading="lazy" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Xiaomi-Mi-9-1.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Xiaomi-Mi-9-1-300x222.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Xiaomi-Mi-9-1-768x568.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Xiaomi-Mi-9-1-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Xiaomi-Mi-9-1-485x360.jpg 485w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Xiaomi-Mi-9-1-696x515.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Xiaomi-Mi-9-1-568x420.jpg 568w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></a>
<a href='https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Xiaomi-Mi-CC9-Blue-Planet.jpg?x44794'><img width="696" height="398" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Xiaomi-Mi-CC9-Blue-Planet.jpg?x44794" class="attachment-large size-large" alt="" loading="lazy" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Xiaomi-Mi-CC9-Blue-Planet.jpg 700w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Xiaomi-Mi-CC9-Blue-Planet-300x171.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Xiaomi-Mi-CC9-Blue-Planet-696x398.jpg 696w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></a>

<p>However, their similarities end here, even in their design. To make things simple, I&#8217;ll list down the differences in the design below.</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Dimensions: Mi 9</strong> &#8211; 157.5 x 74.67 x 7.61mm vs <strong>CC9</strong> &#8211; 156.8 x 74.5 x 8.67mm</li>
<li><strong>Weight:</strong> <strong>Mi 9</strong> &#8211; 173g vs<strong> CC9</strong> &#8211; 179g</li>
<li><strong>Mi 9 </strong>&#8211; Special AI button vs <strong>CC9 </strong>&#8211; No AI button</li>
<li><strong>Mi 9 </strong>&#8211; No headphone jack vs <strong>CC9 </strong>&#8211; 3.5mm Headphone Jack</li>
<li><strong>Mi 9</strong> &#8211; Special highlight on the first camera lens vs <strong>CC9 </strong>&#8211; No highlight on any camera lens</li>
<li><strong>Mi 9 </strong>&#8211; Horizontal Mi logo on the back vs <strong>CC9</strong> &#8211; Vertical Xiaomi logo on the back</li>
<li><strong>Mi 9</strong> &#8211; Piano Black, Ocean Blue, Lavender Violet vs <strong>CC9 </strong>&#8211;  White Lovers, Dark Blue, and Black</li>
</ul>
<p>Thanks to CC9&#8217;s colors, the phone looks more vibrant and colorful than the Mi 9. And that&#8217;s exactly what Xiaomi wants. It&#8217;s aiming to portray the Mi CC9 as the smartphone for the youth, while the Mi 9 is placed as the true flagship at a bargain price. The similarities in their looks mean Xiaomi didn&#8217;t have to worry too much about coming up with a revamped design. This also makes mass production of these new models much easier.</p>
<p>In fact, to prove this point, just take a look at how many Xiaomi phones share this basic design and form factor &#8211; <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-mi-9/">Xiaomi Mi 9</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-mi-9-se/">Mi 9 SE</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-mi-9-explorer-edition/">Mi 9 EE</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/04/01/xiaomi-announces-mi-9-roy-wang-limited-edition/">Mi 9 Roy Wang Limited Edition</a>, and now <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-mi-cc9/">Mi CC9</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-mi-cc9e/">Mi CC9e</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-mi-cc9-meitu-edition/">Mi CC9 Meitu Edition</a>.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>The Xiaomi Mi 9 is a true flagship with Snapdragon 855 on board, while the Mi CC9 is a mid-ranger at best with <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon">Snapdragon</a> 710 on board. Further, the Mi 9 has a better rear camera setup with a set of telephoto lens for optical zoom. The Ultrawide mode should also be better on the Mi 9, thanks to a larger 16MP sensor. Unlike the Mi 9, CC9 also doesn&#8217;t support 4K 60fps video recording or 960fps slo-mo recording at 1080p. The Mi 9 flagship has an advantage in the number of <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/lte">LTE</a> bands supported, adding worldwide LTE support as well.</p>

</ul>
<p>But the Xiaomi CC9 isn&#8217;t without its own set of unique features. For example, the phone has a larger 4030mAh battery to keep you going for an entire day. It also features a seventh-generation screen fingerprint sensor as opposed to the fifth-gen. one on the Mi 9. Another major difference is the presence of the headphone jack on the CC9. The Xiaomi Mi 9 had to ditch this port to make room for better specs.</p>

<h3>Xiaomi Mi 9 vs CC9: Conclusion</h3>
<p>As you can see, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/xiaomi">Xiaomi</a> Mi 9 and CC9 are different in more ways than you would have imagined. The Mi 9 is targeted at users who are looking for an affordable flagship smartphone with top-end specs. On the other hand, the Xiaomi CC9 is targeted at a younger crowd who don&#8217;t want to spend a lot but are looking for a better value for money. That explains why Xiaomi decided to retain a headphone jack on the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/cc9">CC9</a> (wired headphones are cheaper) and add a better 32MP selfie camera on the front.</p>
<figure id="attachment_259076" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-259076" style="width: 900px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Xiaomi-Mi-9-1.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-259076" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Xiaomi-Mi-9-1.jpg?x44794" alt="mi 9" width="900" height="666" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Xiaomi-Mi-9-1.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Xiaomi-Mi-9-1-300x222.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Xiaomi-Mi-9-1-768x568.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Xiaomi-Mi-9-1-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Xiaomi-Mi-9-1-485x360.jpg 485w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Xiaomi-Mi-9-1-696x515.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Xiaomi-Mi-9-1-568x420.jpg 568w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></a><figcaption id="caption-attachment-259076" class="wp-caption-text">Mi 9</figcaption></figure>

<p>Going by the four pictures shared, the Mi CC9 camera settings can be tweaked to turn the bright day time sky to night time. It can also turn a cloudy sky to look sunny. <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/xiaomi-2.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-262020" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/xiaomi-2.jpg?x44794" alt="" width="600" height="800" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/xiaomi-2.jpg 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/xiaomi-2-225x300.jpg 225w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/xiaomi-2-315x420.jpg 315w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: left">This feature  isn&#8217;t a new one as it can be found on several third-party apps. However, with the integration on the Mi CC9, you won&#8217;t have to open a third-party app to tweak the picture. <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/xiaomi-3.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-262021" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/xiaomi-3.jpg?x44794" alt="" width="600" height="800" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/xiaomi-3.jpg 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/xiaomi-3-225x300.jpg 225w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/xiaomi-3-315x420.jpg 315w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></a></p>
<p>We also recall that XDA Developers had reported a few months back that Xiaomi was working on a Sky Replacement feature as discovered through code investigation. The feature enables users to supplant the “sky” with various sky presets. The “sky replacement” effect will be included as part of the photo editing functionality within the MIUI Gallery application. With this forthcoming effect, users can take pictures with a transcendent sky component and swap it with a bundle of various presets that alters the sky in various scenes. The presets won’t just modify the look of the sky but will also add important lighting effects to the remainder of the picture and objects so as to make it match the time of day or weather condition that the sky depicts. <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/xiaomi-4.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-262022" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/xiaomi-4.jpg?x44794" alt="Xiaomi" width="600" height="800" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/xiaomi-4.jpg 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/xiaomi-4-225x300.jpg 225w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/xiaomi-4-315x420.jpg 315w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></a></p>

The phone will be launched in partnership with Meitu.</p>
<p>For those who are unaware, Xiaomi had <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/11/19/xiaomi-takes-over-meitus-phone-business-will-manufacture-meitu-branded-phones-and-smart-products/">acquired the hardware business</a> of Meitu, a China-based smartphone manufacturer, last year in March in order to make and sell selfie-centric phones.</p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400"><div class="su-note" style="border-color:#e5e5e5;border-radius:3px;-moz-border-radius:3px;-webkit-border-radius:3px;"><div class="su-note-inner su-u-clearfix su-u-trim" style="background-color:#ffffff;border-color:#ffffff;color:#333333;border-radius:3px;-moz-border-radius:3px;-webkit-border-radius:3px;"></span><strong><span style="color: #ff0000">Editor&#8217;s Pick:</span> <a title="Xiaomi pokes fun at notch screen phones in latest promo videos!" href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/06/18/xiaomi-pokes-fun-at-notch-screen-phones-in-latest-promo-video/" rel="bookmark">Xiaomi pokes fun at notch screen phones in latest promo videos!</a></strong><span style="font-weight: 400"></div></div></span></p>
<p>The company has shared a new teaser poster online and in response to that, Lei Jun, founder and CEO of Xiaomi thanked them for using their phone and confirmed that a new smartphone series will be launched tomorrow in China.</p>
<p>Ahead of its launch, a poster has been leaked online, revealing what could be the first smartphone co-developed by the two companies. It shows a Meitu-branded smartphone with a flip camera similar to that of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/asus-zenfone-6/">ASUS Zenfone 6/ASUS 6z</a>. However, unlike the<a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/ASUS" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"> ASUS</a> phone, this one comes with a bigger module as there are three camera sensors on the flip module.</p>
<p>While the camera specifications are not yet known, it is said that the primary camera sensor will be of 48-megapixel, possibly the Sony IMX568 sensor. As for the device&#8217;s design, the phone has a pink colored gradient finish with curved sides and pink buttons on the right frame. This hints that the company is targeting female users.</p>
<p>The smartphone, which is code-named &#8220;Little Fairy&#8221;, is believed to be the Mi CC9 which has been leaked. The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/06/19/xiaomi-m1904f3bc-tenaa-listing-leak-images-could-it-be-xiaomi-mi-cc9/">TENAA listing</a> of the Mi CC9 shows that the phone will feature an AMOLED display with an in-display fingerprint reader and will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 octa-core chipset.</p>
