Xiaomi has just launched a new set of products on its official Mi website in China. These include the new hygiene related products from MIJIA, namely the Sonic Facial Cleanser and the 5-Piece set Nail Clipper as well.

Starting with the MIJIA facial cleanser, the product is essentially a tool for facial massage/scrubbing. It has soft bristles that are made from an antibacterial silicone material. This is essential considering it will likely be in contact with water and any bacterial could cause unnecessary health complications. The cleanser offers 5200 revolutions every minute through its high frequency vibration motors.

It is touted to help with acne breakout and dry skin issues for users and is also rated IPX7 for water resistance. The MIJIA Sonic Facial Cleanser features a 400mAh battery pack that can be charged by a USB Type-C port. It is priced at 129 Yuan (roughly 18 USD) and arrives with a charging cable, a cover and the device itself in either pink or blue colors.

Arriving at the MIJIA 5-Piece Nail Clipper, the product is priced at 39.9 Yuan or roughly 5.63 US Dollars. It arrives in a case that carries the two nail clippers alongside a pair of small scissors, filers as well. The case is relatively compact and will suit those that travel frequently. The material used is high quality and durable stainless steel and is only available in a single white color. Today, Xiaomi officially confirmed its collaboration with Smartbox, a Noida-based startup from India that has created automated parcel delivery terminals across the country. Smartbox will soon appear as a new delivery option on Mi.com as well as Mi Store app v2.10.1 or higher. By selecting the new delivery option, customers can receive orders at the nearest digital locker.

The newly introduced Smartbox delivery option is a safe and convenient way to receive ordered products from Smartbox’s digital lockers from the nearest locations. Delhivery, Blue Dart, FedEx, Ecom Express and Xpress Bees are the courier partners of Smartbox.

Here are how users can place orders through Smartbox:

• Select a product on Mi.com or Mi Store app and then add it to cart.
• Add the delivery address and select Smartbox as the deliver option.
• The Smartbox dialogue box will prompt the user to type in the closest Smartbox terminal.
• Once the order is placed, Mi.com will send a confirmation and Smartbox will also send a message with OTP to the customer.
• Once the ordered item arrives at the Smartbox delivery kiosk, the customer will be notified through a message.
• If the customer has already paid for the order, he will have to provide the received OTP at the Smartbox terminal and collect the parcel
• For orders with COD (Cash on Delivery), users can make the payment through cash, debit/credit card, PayTM or UPI payment options at the Smartbox terminal and receive the parcel.

One should be aware of the fact that once the parcel reaches Smartbox terminal, it will remain there for 72 hours. If the parcel is not collected in 72 hours, it will return to Xiaomi. As of this writing, the Smartbox delivery option is only available in Delhi NCR region. In the near future, the service will be also made available in other regions of the country.

In Q317, Xiaomi became the number one smartphone brand in India by equaling its market share with Samsung. The company has managed to salvage sizable market share in India mainly because of its strategy of selling its devices with aggressive pricing online.

The Chinese firm is now working on expanding its offline business in the country. It aims to open 100 Mi Home stores and numerous partner stores by mid-2019. Xiaomi unveiled the white variant of its award-winning Mi Mix concept flagship at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2017 held in Las Vegas, US last month. If Xiaomi fans outside of China had thought the launch at CES 2017 was an indication the Xiaomi Mi Mix would be available outside China, that thought was dashed with the announcement that the device would only be available in China.

Despite the disclosure that the device would be a China-exclusive, at least for now, the white version of the Mi Mix was still not made available in China after the launch. Instead what we got lately was a set of teased images by CEO Lei Jun of a coral blue variant that the company seems to be tinkering with.

However, the Xiaomi Mi Mix White may soon be available for purchase in China as an official listing for the Mi Mix White variant has appeared on Mi.com, with the 4GB + 128GB version listed. The price of the white version is set at 3,499 yuan, consistent with the black colored variant. However, the device is not yet ready for purchase as there is only a button that lets you set up sales alert. This would apparently ensure you get notified whenever the device is up for grab. The 6GB + 256GB version is not available in white yet, according to the listing.

Whenever the Xiaomi Mi Mix white goes up for sale, the flagship may very well outperform the sales record of the black colored version because of its sleek and more beautiful look. Chinese smartphone maker, Xiaomi released the Redmi Note 4 in India last week. It went on sale yesterday and in just 10 minutes it had sold 250,000 units on Flipkart and the company’s official site Mi.com.

According to Xiaomi, the flash sale of the Redmi Note 4 is said to be the biggest-ever online only smartphone launch in the country. In 2016, an IDC report said Xiaomi also set a record with the Redmi Note 3 as the most shipped smartphone sold online in a given quarter.

The Redmi Note 4 launched in India is different from the one released in China last year as this model features a Snapdragon 625 processor and not a Helio X20 chip. It also varies in the memory configuration. There is a 2GB RAM+32GB ROM variant alongside a 3GB+32GB model and a 4GB+64GB model.

The Redmi Note 4 has a 5.5-inch Full HD display, a 13MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, dual LED flash, and PDAF. Up front is a 5MP camera with the same aperture as the rear camera. There is a 4100mAh battery and a fingerprint scanner on the rear, and it comes bundled with MIUI 8 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

The Redmi Note 4 starts at Rs. 9,999 for the 2GB + 32GB (~$147) variant; moves up to Rs. 10,999 (~$162) for the 3GB + 32GB model; and closes it at Rs. 12,999 (~$192) for the 4GB RAM + 64GB model. The next flash sale is on the 30th of January.
