<p><span style="font-weight: 400">According to findings by </span><a href="https://xiaomiui.net/mi-mix-fold-may-not-receive-miui-13-and-other-updates-1259/"><i><span style="font-weight: 400">Xiaomiui</span></i></a><span style="font-weight: 400">, the Mi MIX Fold may not receive any MUI updates hereafter. The MIUI Feedback app says that the handset now lacks OTA update support.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">There’s another possible explanation. Xiaomi might introduce a new branch of MIUI for foldables in the future, as it did for tablets in the form of </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/08/10/xiaomi-miui-12-5-enhanced-edition-miui-for-pad/"><span style="font-weight: 400">MIUI for Pad</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400">. Hence, it is currently listed with no OTA support for standard </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/MIUI/"><span style="font-weight: 400">MIUI</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> builds.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">That being said, Xiaomiui has a history of wrong predictions. Therefore, this could turn out to be incorrect.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">But we cannot rule out the possibility of no future updates either. That’s because the Mi MIX series has an unfortunate history of poor software support.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Anyway, for now, the Mi MIX Fold’s software situation is in a good state. Just recently, it received a system update with the </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/10/21/xiaomi-mi-mix-fold-miui-update-longest-changelog-history/"><span style="font-weight: 400">longest changelog in MIUI history</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400">. This update brought changes to the software based on the feedback from actual users of the phone.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">As Xiaomi appears to be dedicated to improving MIUI for foldables, we don’t think the company will suspend software support for the Mi MIX Fold.</span></p>
