Having already received two Android version upgrades in the form of Android 10 and 11, it’s obvious that the device won’t be getting a taste of Android 12. And that’s exactly what’s come about with the MIUI 13 update released for the phone today in China — it’s based on Android 11.

Still, the update comes with a slew of changes in the form of new widgets, improved system font, new super wallpapers, and numerous optimizations, so the missing Android upgrade shouldn’t be too much of a bother.
