A while ago, Xiaomi introduced its first smart speaker for international markets in the form of Mi Smart Speaker. This rebadged XiaoAI Speaker Art made its global debut in India. Now, months after its launch in the country, the company is offering it a 50% discount on buying select Xiaomi products.

India’s Flipkart always runs a campaign in which the eCommerce platform offers a coupon to purchase certain Google Assistant-powered products at half the price. Some of these products include Google Nest Mini, Flipkart MarQ Smart Home Speaker, and Lenovo Smart Clock. These coupons can be obtained by buying eligible Android or Android TV devices.

Since the introduction of Mi Smart Speaker, it has been also part of this campaign. As a result, Xiaomi is also offering its smart speaker at the same price for customers buying select devices from its own online store – Mi.com.

The eligible products for this offer are the following.

In addition to this, the Mi Smart Speaker also comes with a 1-year Gaana Plus subscription. Anyway, this particular offer is not exclusive to this product as all the Google Assistant-powered smart speakers sold in India are eligible for the same.

Hence, if you are willing to buy any of the above-mentioned devices in India, make sure to purchase them from either Mi.com or Flipkart to get Mi Smart Speaker at only ₹1,999 (50% discount).

Xiaomi has launched a new Mi Smart speaker in Spain. This is the one that the company launched in its home market back in May and a few weeks back in India. The new Smart speaker is a bit pricier than the Indian model but definitely costs lesser than Google’s Nest Audio.

Xiaomi Mi Smart Speaker Spain Price, Availability, and Offers

The new Mi Smart Speaker starts at €49.99 in Spain. This is a bit more compared to €34.86(₹2,999) in India. It will be available for purchase on Mi.com, Mi Stores, and Media Markt. And Xiaomi Spain says if you buy the Mi Smart speaker from October 16 to 18(tomorrow), you get a Mi LED Smart Bulb Essential as a gift. Also, Xiaomi says the offer will be live until the stocks last.

Xiaomi Mi Smart Speaker Specifications

The new Xiaomi Mi Smart Speaker has metal construction. Xiaomi says the speaker has a warm matte-stone finish. It has a thin 0.7mm metal mesh wrapped around the cylindrical body that acts as the speaker area. There are about 10531 holes around the speaker for richer and thrilling sound. The top edge of the speaker has a ring strip that lights up and Xiaomi says it comes with 16 million lights. The top surface has touch-sensitive buttons. There are four buttons- volume up, volume down, play/pause, and microphone.

For sound, the Mi Smart Speaker has a 2.5-inch 12W speaker with a 63.5mm massive driver. There is a professional DTS tuning and Texas Instruments’ TAS5805M Hi-Fi Audio Processor for a 360° surround sound experience. Additionally, there are two far-field microphones for voice recognition.

The new Mi Smart Speaker also supports voice recognition through Google Assistant. Users can control music, set alarms, and control other smart devices. It can also be set up via the “Google Home” app to control light, security cameras, and more. It supports English and Hindi. Just Say “Hey Google” to get started.

Other features include Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 4.2 for connectivity. It also has a Chromecast built-in. This can easily be used to connect TV, Smartphones for streaming audio, and video. Also, you can pair two Mi smart speakers for a stereo experience.

Xiaomi launched its first Google Assistant-powered speaker in India last month. With a special introductory price tag of ₹3,499 (~$48), the Mi Smart Speaker. costs less than half the price of Google’s latest smart speaker, the Nest Audio, which has a special price of ₹6,999 (~$95) in the country.

If you live in Europe and have been looking for a way to get your hands on the speaker all the way from Asia, it has been reported by Winfuture that Xiaomi will be bringing it to the old Continent.

The source says they have been informed by retailers that the speaker will soon be announced in Europe. It appears the speaker will come in a different color from the one sold in India as shown in the images we have attached to the post. Good luck telling people it isn’t a Sonos One.

Notwithstanding, it will retain its affordable price tag as the source said they have been informed it will sell for €52.99 in Spain and €59.95 in Portugal. Google’s Nest Audio speaker is not available in a lot of countries in Europe but is priced at €97.47 in Germany.

The Mi Smart Speaker has a 12W 2.5” speaker unit that pumps out sounds loud enough to fill whichever room you place it in. It has touch-sensitive buttons including a mute button at the top as well as two far-field microphones to pick up your voice commands. The speaker connects via 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi and also has Bluetooth 4.2. You can pair two units together for a stereo setup. It weighs 853 grams but since it is not battery operated, you won’t be moving it around.

There is no date yet for the launch but we can expect it to go on sale before the end of October.
