<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Today, Xiaomi announced that it has sold over 7 million units of </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Mi-TV/"><span style="font-weight: 400">Mi</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> and </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Redmi-TV/"><span style="font-weight: 400">Redm</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400">i-branded smart TVs in India since their introduction. The sales figure from Xiaomi Data Center accounts from March 2018 to September 2021.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">In a press release shared with us, Eshwar Nilakantan, Category Lead &#8211; Smart TVs, </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Xiaomi/"><span style="font-weight: 400">Xiaomi</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> India, says that the company played a key role in the growth of the smart TV market in India. The segment doubled in 2021 when compared to 2018.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">He also states that during the festive season sale earlier this month, the sales of the firm’s 4K TV models increased by a whopping 53 times. The company managed to sell over </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/10/06/xiaomi-india-sells-100000-smart-tvs-in-festive-season-sale/"><span style="font-weight: 400">100K units of televisions</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> in less than 3 days during this period.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">On the other hand, 32-inch models still remain to be the most popular as they continue to be the gateway for first-time smart TV buyers.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Above all, Xiaomi is still the leading smart TV player in India since 2018.</span></p>
