Micromax In 2C goes on sale in India through Flipkart, Here’s price & specs

Back in April 2022, Micromax had announced a new entry level smartphone for the Indian market. Now, the In 2C model recently went on sale and is currently available for purchase on Flipkart, a known e-retailer in the region.

The Micromax In 2C sports a 6.52 inch LCD panel that has a 1600 × 720 pixel HD resolution. This panel has a maximum brightness of 420 nits, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a waterdrop notch on the front. Under the hood, the In 2C is equipped with a UNISOC T610 SoC, which is paired with a Mali G52 GPU, 3GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and 32GB of emmc 5.1 storage as well. The brand is also offering users an option to further expand storage by up to 512GB through a microSD card slot.

On the back, the new smartphone features a dual camera setup that consists of an 8 megapixel primary camera and a 2 megapixel depth sensor and LED flash. Meanwhile, the front comes with a 5 megapixel selfie shooter. The smartphne is powered by a large 5,000mAh battery pack that supports standard 10W charging support from a USB Type C port. Other features include, rear mounted fingerprint scanner and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The smartphone runs on Android 11 OS out of the box and is available in two color models, namely Brown and Silver. The device is currently priced at 7,499 INR (roughly 98 US Dollars) for its lone 3GB + 32GB configuration, although, this is the introductory price tag. Its actual price tag is 8,499 INR (roughly 111 US Dollars). At the moment, the handset is available for purchase on Flipkart, along with some special bank offers as well.

Micromax is expected to launch its In 2c smartphone in the Indian market soon. Recently, the phone’s launch timeline was revealed and the device was certified on a couple of certification websites. In the newest development, the Micromax In 2c’s entire specs sheet and renders have been revealed.

Micromax In 2c Colors & Design

The tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore on Twitter shared the renders of the phone in three of its colors. The phone appears to come in Black, Grey, and what seems like a Brown/Maroon shade.

Coming to the phone’s design, it looks almost similar to its sibling, In 2b, from both the front and back, however, the fingerprint scanner is missing on this one. The “IN” branding has now moved to the bottom center and the speaker is backfiring, placed in the bottom right corner.

The camera island, however, is similar to the In 2b, with an LED flash below the sensors. The front has a water-drop notch panel, a single selfie snapper placed at the top, and an earpiece.

Micromax In 2c Specifications (rumored)

The smartphone sports a 6.52-inch HD+ display with a 720 x 1600 pixels resolution. It has 400 nits of brightness and an 89% STB ratio. It equips a 5MP selfie snapper and a dual-camera system at the rear. The rear setup goes by an 8MP main lens and a VGA sensor.

At the helm, it is powered by the UNISOC T610 chipset paired with 4GB/6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 64GB of eMMC 5.1 internal storage(expandable via microSD card slot). The phone packs a 5,000mAh battery and has a 10W charging speed.

The device will come running on the Android 11 OS out of the box and have dual-SIM support. As said above, it unfortunately lacks a fingerprint reader. Lastly, it has a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB Type-C port.

Micromax In 2c India launch timeline revealed, check expected specs and price

Micromax has already launched the In Note 2 and In 2b budget smartphones in India, and now, it is readying for the other In 2-series phones. Apart from the already launched devices, the series is also expected to comprise the In 2 and In 2c. The tipster Abhishek Yadav has now revealed the launch timeline of the latter.

The Micromax In 2c is tipped to launch by the end of April or early May 2022 in the Indian market. The device should arrive in the budget segment and will be powered by a UNISOC chipset.

The smartphone was spotted on Geekbench previously. As per the listing, the smartphone has 347 points in the single-core department and 1127 points in the multi-core department. It has the UNISOC T610 octa-core chipset with all eight cores clocked at 1.82GHz. The phone has 4GB of RAM and Android 11 OS out of the box.

In addition to this, the device made it to the list of Google Play-supported devices. While that listing didn’t reveal any explicit details, we still got to know that the launch is in the pipeline. Now, that the phone’s tipped release is just a few weeks away, we expect the company to start the marketing campaign for the phone via several teasers.

Micromax IN 2B

The Micromax In 2c is expected to come under sub-Rs. 10,000(~$131) price range in the country. We could see it getting released in several colors like the sibling In 2b.

Micromax ln 2b & ln 2c Geekbench listings reveal a Unisoc SoC on par with the Helio G80

In line with the rollout plans of Micromax to unveil several products in the remaining part of the year, the company may be releasing two models soon. The Micromax ln 2b and Micromax ln 2c have just been listed on Geekbench 5, with some of the features of both devices revealed via the listing.

The two upcoming Micromax models will be powered by the same Unisoc T610 chipset with 4GB of RAM available. Both devices will run on the Android 11 operating system from the box.

The Geekbench single and multiple core test results for the models reveal an impressive performance in comparison with some leading models in the segment. The Micromax ln 2b and ln 2c scored 350 and 248, respectively for the single-core test. The corresponding scores for the multi-core test for both devices were 1204 and 1233, respectively. The Geekbench results indicated that both devices performed below Xiaomi’s Redmi 9 Prime and Samsung Galaxy A32 in both single-core and multi-core tests. However, both the Micromax ln 2b and ln 2c outperformed the Realme C15 on both fronts.

The two possibly upcoming Micromax smartphones could be released soon, although it is known that both models lack 5G support, as the Unisoc chipset only has a 4G modem. The rollout schedule of Micromax could indicate that the company is staging a comeback in the smartphone segment. Some of its earlier models released this year are the Micromax ln 1, ln 1b, and the ln Note 1. The ln 2 series could thus be debuted by the ln 2b and ln 2c anytime soon.

Much information relating to the impending launch will become available moving forward. This would include an official announcement of the launch of the devices and possible pricing information. We also await more specific information regarding the features of the two models.
