A few weeks ago, the company began rolling out a beta Android 8.0 Oreo update for the Axon 7 in the US only for it to announce a stable Oreo update in China yesterday.

The update comes as an upgrade to MiFavor 5.2 – the latest version of ZTE’s custom user interface. The update brings a new interface, a smoother and faster system, in addition to all the goodies of Android 8.0 Oreo.

To check for the update, head to System Update under Phone Settings and tap the three-dot button to check if its available.

The Axon 7 was announced in May, 2016. It ran Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box but got an update to Android Nougat in March, 2017.
